Long Can’s expression instantly sank when she heard this demand. “You’ve got a big appetite. Aren’t you afraid of choking on such a big piece of meat?”
She was enraged. The Jiuli race was also an important part of Lord Brahma’s plans. It was also the reason Lord Brahma went to such lengths to nurture her; it was all in hopes of her one day taking control of the Jiuli Tower and the Jiuli race.
In truth, her attack on the Jiuli Divine Realm was not in accordance with Lord Brahma’s orders, nor did she have the approval of the other divine commanders. Even so, she had mobilized eight hundred thousand Divine Sovereigns. These eight hundred thousand Divine Sovereigns were all blessed by faith energy. They were akin to Forerunners—they would never manage to become triple manifestation Divine Sovereigns, but they would never have been capable of that anyway, so there was no loss on their part. Although I know that Lord Brahma wants to use you to turn the Jiuli race into one of his followers, it just so happens that I also need them to reform my body!”
The Jiuli race’s experts were all outraged to hear them arguing like this. One side considered them a bunch of sheep to be herded where their shepherd chose, and the other side thought of them as nothing more than lambs for slaughter!
Long Can darkly asked, “And if I don’t agree?”
Cao Yuyang snorted and waved his hand. A single blood-colored thread pierced through space and through the head of one of the traitors of the Jiuli race. Even the Jiuli Tower’s protection did not save him. When the thread pierced him, his whole body instantly dried up into a desiccated corpse.
“You bi—”
“I am not bargaining with you!” snapped Cao Yuyang. “I am telling you what will happen! If you vainly think you can use the eight hundred thousand experts outside to mobilize the Brahma Divine Diagram against me, then the first thing I will do is kill your helpers. Without them, you will not be able to take control over the Jiuli Tower, and you will lose everything. Oh, and do I have to remind you? This mission was not carried out with Lord Brahma’s permission. I wonder whether Lord Brahma will forgive you if you fail again!”
Long Can’s killing intent exploded. “You dare to threaten me?!”
But inside, she was panicking. She knew that the Zither Sect definitely had spies among her subordinates, or they wouldn’t have such precise information. Furthermore, just as the Heavenly Devil Zither said, she really did have no other choice. She had to succeed. If she failed, it would mean her doom. The Jiuli race’s experts’ hearts sank. They were holding on to some hope that something would happen to save them, but nothing had changed. As they despaired, their hatred towards Jiang Li only grew. He was the one who had dragged the Jiuli Divine Realm to the abyss. Whether it was against Long Chen, Long Can, or the Heavenly Devil Zither, Jiang Li’s intelligence had proven entirely worthless. How did someone so stupid think he could scheme against these people?

They looked over to see Long Chen had once more sat down on his rocking chair. He was snacking on sunflower seeds as he watched the show. It was as if this tense situation had nothing to do with him. When they looked at him more closely, they saw the golden flower in his hand, and their jaws instantly dropped.
“Great Sun Sunflower? And it's mutated…”
A number of people who had dealings with medicinal herbs were capable of recognizing that as a legendary divine medicine. Moreover, it was mutated, which meant its value had increased tremendously. Yet Long Chen was eating the seeds as a snack!
