Chapter 7: Glorious Loot! I |
The days were always infinitely brighter when you knew your future was bright.
Noah was feeling this way at this moment as he had just finished absorbing 10 [Peak Iron Cores], his body feeling extremely vibrant and filled with energy, even though he felt like this wasn't the limit of the Iron Rank!
He pulled up the Idle Gaming System interface and clicked on the [Burning Domains Rift] icon that was shining in gold, indicating that Loot Resources were ready for collecting whenever he wished.
SHAA!
A bright gold light.
Glorious words then appeared in front of his eyes.
[+5 Idle Exp][+15 Iron Rank Cores][+2 Iron Rank Minotaur Shards][+20 Iron Rank Unit Upgrade Crystals][+1 Flame Bow]
He gained 2 more Cores and an extra Minotaur Shard for the past hour of Idle Mode compared to last time, also getting less Unit Upgrade Crystals along with a wondrous Equipment in the form of a bow!
The things that had extremely low drop rate for Blessed...were flowing to him as loot every hour as he thought he would very soon not know what to do with them.
'Annalise should be diving into the Burning Domains Rift again within the next hour?'
He remembered how the party planned to delve into the Dimensional Rift again after 3 hours, thinking about his little sister in this new Ethereal Realm that he would very soon be able to take care of!
When he transmigrated, he had taken over the body and memories of the Noah Eckert of this Ethereal Realm as he felt very connected to the family he had here.
Because of the memories, it didn't seem like he only knew them for three weeks and it felt like he had known them for years!
As for what he would do to get stronger and be more capable to the family that raised him...well, he just had to wait around and be Idle, his System being able to take care of everything on his behalf.
He rose from the verdant green plains behind the Blessed Academy as he passed through the huge structures of this organization, heading into the bustling city as the apartment complex of the parents of Noah and Annalise was only a 10 minute walk away.
They commuted to the Blessed Academy daily to attend optional and some required Lectures given by experienced Blessed on Dimensional Rifts, with the lessons dealing in a variety of topics.
Some were focused on specific roles Blessed could take- whether they wanted to be damage dealers, tanks, or healers and how they could achieve this.
They would be taught which Dimensional Rifts they should dive in that dropped specific equipment for the role they wanted to specialize in and much more.
Other classes dealt in finance and business when it came to the currency that was Cores, as well as how Blessed could manage their money and sell their Loot either to the Academy or private businesses!
Noah's bright eyes shone ever brighter when he thought about these things while heading home.
This Ethereal Realm had the fantasy and feel of both the Middle Ages and his modern world, yet seemed more advanced than his homeworld in its systems as they used magic to their advantage and created wondrous things!
When he moved around the city in the first few days that he transmigrated, he would occasionally wonder if he was still back on the Blue Planet or had really come into a fantasy world- the similarities were too many!
He passed by the crowds of people as he saw the apartment complex in his memories and went in, putting a code in a gate that was reinforced by Iron Rank Ores that very few criminals would bother breaking into.
Security like this meant his parents were fairly well off as they managed to live in such a protected place, his dad and mom both being Bronze Blessed that risked their lives in Dimensional Rifts daily just like his sister!
He was truly the only one in the family that was a slacker, with his mom constantly worrying that his mind was too weak and he might do something dangerous to himself.
'Ahh…'
Noah sighed in melancholy as he entered their apartment that held 4 rooms, a nicely designed living room, and a kitchen that already had a meal prepared on the table.
Even though his mom was out with his dad and their team diving in Dimensional Rifts, she always kept a meal ready for her kids when they returned from their own adventures!
Noah could feel the love of this new family of his that it made him think back to his own, reminiscing for a few minutes before he broke out of his stupor.
He went to grab some of the food and fill himself to the brim as he planned for many possible things in the future, his thoughts innumerable as they revolved around his Idle Gaming System.
When he finished eating, it was already nearing 8 pm as nobody had returned home yet.
'Well, the night is night and I could sleep and wake up tomorrow to truly wondrous presents…'
He thought about the Loot Resources he would be waking up to tomorrow as over 2 hours had passed since he last collected Loot from last time, entering the Idle Gaming System interface and clicking on the box tinged with the color of gold once more before he called it a night.

The glorious loot that had their text boxes tinged with their own colors glowed in front of his eyes, making him extremely happy as he delved into the warm bed.
He would work hard Idling this entire night and wake up to a better day tomorrow.
As for the surprises that waited for him? There would be too many to count!
The lights went off as after obtaining his cheat system, Noah Eckert was lulled into the folds of sleep.
