Su Hao had once spoken to Yashan about the power of faith in uniting people. He described to him the strength and operational model of a religious belief, even laying out its structure to help Yashan understand what it meant to touch hearts and have faith.

The term “Creating a New Century” was also introduced by Su Hao to Yashan. To his surprise, Yashan managed to create something out of nothing, giving birth to the “God of Genesis” – Wei.

Su Hao was at a loss for words. The project was nearing completion, and there was no time to say anything more.

When Su Hao asked Yashan why he had created a “God,” Yashan responded with amazement, “Boss Wei, I mentioned this to you before, and you didn’t oppose it, right?”

Su Hao silently retorted in his mind, “Didn’t oppose it? Even if I didn’t oppose it, I didn’t agree either!”

However, this issue was already too complicated.

Su Hao decided to skip it. If this deity’s name could bring him convenience, he didn’t mind using it; after all, his fundamental goal was to acquire endless knowledge.

Su Hao asked, “So when do you plan to return to Huixiang City?”

Yashan smiled, “No rush! I need to stay here for a week or so.”

Su Hao replied, “Alright, take your time these days! Take the opportunity to contemplate your combat abilities. I’ll return to the lab and continue with my experiments.”

Su Hao returned to the laboratory and entered the pinball space to ponder his upcoming tasks. He opened the log list, glanced at it, and marked “Completed Small Round Mouse Experiment” under the “Unfinished Tasks” option.

He then began to list his objectives:

1. Establish a human gene coordinate system and complete the expression of runic genes in the human body.

2. Collect full sequences of different-grade mutant genes.

3. Join the scientific exploration program and pick up abandoned knowledge.

4. Delve deeper into the nature of the pinball space (note known properties: 1) Free roaming in the universe; 2) Recording information; 3) Having positive and negative properties, which can be calculated).

5. Attempt to evolve the legendary creature, the “God.”

These five objectives, arranged in order, would be completed one by one. Su Hao was confident he could accomplish the first one within two years, and he could delegate the second task to Yashan. The third and fourth objectives could be pursued simultaneously, and the fifth could wait until everything else was done.

After organizing his thoughts, Su Hao exited the pinball space, and once again, he picked up an innocent small round mouse, muttering to himself, “So, let’s continue improving the runic gene expression of the small round mouse. After the experiment is completely successful, we’ll begin human experiments. Over the years, Yashan has accumulated quite a number of heinous criminals, haven’t they!”

These people, after their public trials in the “Temple Forest Society,” should have been executed, but Su Hao instructed Yashan to keep them for the time being. Over the years, this has accumulated a significant number of them, enough for Su Hao’s experiments. After the experiments, they could be returned for execution, but Su Hao was confident that his experiments were stable, and death was unlikely.

Time passed quickly, and two years went by. This year, Su Hao turned twenty-one. He had once again grown into a tall and imposing man, standing at a towering height of 2.3 meters, surpassing the average height of Zhu Hua people. This transformation marked a significant change, allowing him to view the world from a perspective higher than most.

The mature, heroic face, even among the already good-looking people of Zhu Hua, was something rarely seen. Su Hao reduced his outings because when girls saw him, they would flock around him. After gathering a large group of girls, they became bolder and began to flirt with him. Su Hao, the “God of Genesis,” found it a bit hard to handle, reminiscent of Leonardo DiCaprio’s encounters in his youth.

Reflecting on this, Su Hao shook his head and sighed, “This is the charm brought by immense power, an irresistible charm!”

The impact of his powerful physique and presence was evident in Su Hao. However, looks were superficial, and what he truly valued was his research achievements.

At this point, he had finally completed his first mission goal. Entering the pinball space, he marked a check on the item “Establish a human gene coordinate system and complete the expression of runic genes in the human body.”

Su Hao, who had absolute confidence in this gene technology, immediately thought of Yashan. He called Yashan into the lab and said, “Yashan, I’m going to upgrade your path as a martial artist, construct a new circulatory system, and help you transform from an elite-level martial artist to a master-level martial artist for a qualitative change.”

Yashan was astonished, “Master-level martial artist? I thought being an elite-level martial artist was the limit!”

Su Hao smiled, “Being an elite-level martial artist is certainly not the limit. There was once a genius figure named Wu Zongzu who explored this path.”

Yashan looked full of admiration and said, “Wu Zongzu was indeed a genius, but compared to Boss Wei, he falls far short.”

Su Hao chuckled and shook his head, “It’s not like that. Wu Zongzu was much more formidable than me. Besides, there’s no real comparison; I’m different from him. I’m not a genius; I’m just hardworking.”

He added silently, “And I have more opportunities. Other than that, I’m not much stronger than others. If someone else had my experiences, they might do even better.”

Yashan asked, “Can martial artists directly level up?”

Su Hao replied, “In the past, it wasn’t possible; you had to rely on a lot of time to memorize and experiment with adjustments. I don’t think your brain is suited for that, so I won’t let you learn. However, now you can level up directly. Just lie down quietly for a while, and you’ll be able to advance to a master-level martial artist.”

Yashan: “…”

At this moment, Yashan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry; was his brain really that bad?

Yashan asked, “Boss Wei, what should I do now?”

Su Hao gestured, “Just lie still and don’t move; promotion won’t happen today; it’ll take a few more days. I need to collect data first.”

Su Hao added, “Yashan, I’m going to inscribe a runic pattern into your body as your innate ability. You can choose one yourself.”

Yashan widened his eyes, looking very surprised. He really wanted to know what runic pattern Su Hao had in mind and wanted it for himself, but he restrained himself from asking. He thought to himself, “How can I ask Boss Wei such a personal question?”

After thinking for a while, Yashan said, “Boss Wei, can I choose ‘lightning’?”

Su Hao furrowed his brow and said, “The ‘lightning’ runic pattern is quite special. It’s fine to inscribe it on armor, but it’s not easy to guide and control when inscribed inside the body. It’s easy to harm oneself, so I don’t recommend choosing it. After I optimize it in the future, I’ll change it for you.”

The “lightning” runic pattern wasn’t obtained from the bodies of ferocious beasts; Su Hao had designed it based on basic runic patterns himself. Practical small skills like “fire ring,” “fire dragon,” “earth thorns,” “strong winds,” “rift” were all created by Su Hao himself. Inscribing such runic patterns inside the body could easily lead to self-harm. However, this runic pattern could be optimized in the future.

While Yashan felt a bit disappointed at first, he immediately became indifferent upon hearing that the runic pattern could be changed later. After thinking for a moment, he settled on a runic pattern, saying, “Let’s go with ‘rotation.’ This runic pattern feels handy and has tremendous power.”

Su Hao nodded, “Lie down, and I’ll collect some data. Relax your whole body and don’t resist.”

With that, Su Hao filled Yashan’s chest with a large amount of vital energy and began constructing the “rotation” runic array inside Yashan’s body, continuously adjusting the eight control rods. After half an hour, Su Hao finally confirmed the position of the runic pattern inside Yashan’s body and withdrew his vital energy, saying, “Alright, Yashan, wait for five days! I’ll come to find you then, and you’ll be able to advance to a master-level martial artist.”

Yashan was incredibly curious, “Boss Wei, how do you do it? It’s so amazing, especially those peculiar small round mice outside; they’re simply unbelievable!”

Su Hao replied nonchalantly, “Even if I tell you, you wouldn’t understand.”

Yashan thought, “Well, at least give it a try! What if I do understand?”

Chapter 196: A Man Standing Tall in the World

Long ago, Su Hao had once explained to Yashan how faith could unite people.

He described the strength of religion, how it inspired belief, and how such organizations were structured. He even introduced the concept of creating a "New Era" so Yashan could better understand what it meant to inspire people's hearts.

To Su Hao's complete surprise, Yashan somehow managed to create something entirely different.

    The Genesis God—Wei.

    Su Hao was left speechless.

The matter had already progressed this far, so there was little point saying anything now.

When Su Hao asked why he had created a god, Yashan answered with complete sincerity.

"Boss Wei, I mentioned it to you before. You didn't object."

    Su Hao silently retorted,

"Not objecting doesn't mean I agreed!"

But after thinking about it, he simply let the matter go.

If the title of "Genesis God" could make certain things more convenient, then he didn't really care.

His true objective had never changed.

    Knowledge.

    Unlimited knowledge.

    ---

"So," Su Hao asked, "when are you going back to Huiyang City?"

    Yashan grinned.

"No rush. I'll stay here for about a week."

    Su Hao nodded.

"Fine. Use these few days to continue improving your combat skills. I'll return to the laboratory."

    ---

Back inside the laboratory, Su Hao entered Marble Space.

    He opened the log panel.

The entry for the Small Round Rat Experiment was quietly marked as completed.

Looking at the remaining tasks, he reorganized them in his mind.

The first priority was to establish a complete human genetic coordinate system and successfully express rune genes inside the human body.

The second was to collect complete genetic sequences from every mutant sequence and every evolutionary stage.

The third was to resume the scientific studies he had set aside over the years.

The fourth was to continue exploring the true nature of Marble Space. So far, he only understood a few of its properties—it could roam freely through the universe, permanently record information, and possessed positive and negative coordinate properties that could be calculated. There were undoubtedly many secrets still waiting to be uncovered.

    As for the final objective...

It was to attempt the legendary evolution into God.

After organizing everything clearly, Su Hao left Marble Space.

Picking up another unlucky little round rat, he smiled faintly.

    "Let's continue improving rune-gene expression."

"Once the animal experiments are completely perfected..."

"I can finally begin human experiments."

    ---

Over the years, Yashan had quietly accumulated a large number of death-row prisoners.

Every one of them had already been publicly tried by the Temple Forest Association and sentenced to death.

However, under Su Hao's instructions, they had all been kept alive.

After so many years, there were now more than enough experimental subjects.

Once the experiments were complete, they could be executed as originally planned.

Still, Su Hao had great confidence in his research.

    Fatalities would be extremely unlikely.

    ---

    Time passed quickly.

Before he knew it, another two years had gone by.

    Su Hao had turned twenty-one.

His body had matured once again.

Standing over 2.3 meters tall, he was considerably taller than the average Zhu Hua person.

His mature features, powerful physique, and calm temperament made him stand out even among the naturally handsome Zhu Hua people.

    Eventually...

He stopped going outside very often.

Every time young women saw him, they would gather around him in groups.

Once enough of them gathered together, they became remarkably bold.

Open flirting became an everyday occurrence.

Even Su Hao—the so-called Genesis God—found it rather difficult to deal with.

It reminded him somewhat of the stories about Leonardo DiCaprio in his youth.

Thinking about it, Su Hao shook his head helplessly.

"So this is the charm that comes with overwhelming strength."

"It really is difficult to resist."

    Of course...

Appearance meant very little to him.

What truly pleased him were the results of his research.

    ---

Entering Marble Space once more, Su Hao quietly marked another task as completed.

The human genetic coordinate system had finally been established.

Rune-gene expression inside the human body had been successfully realized.

Seeing that achievement, Su Hao immediately called for Yashan.

    ---

Inside the laboratory, Su Hao looked at him and said,

    "Yashan."

"I'm going to improve your martial artist cultivation."

"I'll build a brand-new circulation system inside your body."

"It will allow you to advance from an Elite Martial Artist to a Master Martial Artist."

"It will be a qualitative transformation."

    Yashan stared blankly.

    "A Master Martial Artist?"

"I thought Elite Martial Artist was already the limit."

    Su Hao smiled.

    "It isn't."

"There was once a true genius named Wu Zongzu."

"He had already explored this path."

Yashan immediately looked full of admiration.

"Wu Zongzu was certainly a genius."

    "But compared to Boss Wei..."

    "He doesn't even come close."

Su Hao laughed and shook his head.

    "That's not true."

"Wu Zongzu was far more talented than I am."

    "Our circumstances are simply different."

    "I'm not a genius."

    "I'm just diligent."

    Silently, he added to himself,

"And I happened to possess opportunities that no one else had."

"If someone experienced everything I had experienced..."

"They might have accomplished even more."

    Yashan scratched his head.

"So martial artists can skip cultivation entirely now?"

    "In the past, no."

    Su Hao answered calmly.

"You had to spend years memorizing techniques, experimenting, and slowly adjusting your body."

"I don't think your brain is suitable for that."

"So I won't make you learn it."

    "But now..."

"I can simply engrave everything directly."

"You only need to lie down."

    "When it's finished..."

"You'll already be a Master Martial Artist."

Yashan didn't know whether he should laugh or cry.

Was his brain really that hopeless?

    After a moment he asked,

"So what should I do now?"

Su Hao pointed toward the operating table.

    "Lie down."

    "It won't be completed today."

"I still need several days to collect your body's data."

    Then he continued,

    "There's one more thing."

"I'm going to engrave a rune into your body."

"It will become your innate ability."

"You can choose whichever rune you want."

    Yashan's eyes widened.

He had desperately wanted to ask which rune Boss Wei himself preferred, but restrained the impulse.

After thinking carefully, he finally spoke.

    "Boss Wei..."

    "Can I choose Lightning?"

    Su Hao frowned slightly.

"The Lightning Rune is rather special."

"It works well when engraved on armor."

"But engraving it directly inside the body is dangerous."

    "It's difficult to guide."

    "Easy to lose control."

"And it can easily injure the user."

    "I don't recommend it."

"Once I've optimized it in the future, I'll replace your rune with Lightning."

The Lightning Rune had not been obtained from mutant genes.

It had been designed entirely by Su Hao himself.

Runes like Fire Ring, Fire Dragon, Earth Spike, Gale, and Rift had all been created through his own research.

At their current stage, they were still too unstable to become innate biological abilities.

Although Yashan felt somewhat disappointed, he immediately relaxed after hearing that the rune could be replaced later.

After thinking for another moment, he finally made his decision.

    "Then..."

    "I'll choose Rotation."

    "It feels incredibly useful."

    "And it's extremely powerful."

    Su Hao nodded.

    "Very well."

    "Lie down."

    "I'll begin collecting the data."

    "Relax your whole body."

    "And don't resist."

    Yashan obediently lay down.

Su Hao filled his chest with Vital Energy and began constructing the Rotation Rune inside his body.

He continuously adjusted the eight control points, refining every minute detail.

Half an hour later, he finally withdrew his Vital Energy.

    "Done."

    "Come back in five days."

    "By then..."

"You'll officially become a Master Martial Artist."

Unable to contain his curiosity any longer, Yashan asked,

    "Boss Wei..."

"How do you even accomplish something like this?"

    "It's unbelievable."

"And those strange little round rats outside..."

    "They're unbelievable too."

    Su Hao answered casually,

    "Even if I explained it..."

    "You wouldn't understand."

    Yashan silently complained,

    "At least explain it first..."

    "What if I actually understand?"
