Chapter 159

During the month or two when Su Hao was busy with the Little Round Mouse, the situation in Linyuan City changed. It went from having four major gangs to only three.

These three gangs were the ‘Four Kings Gang’ , the ‘Ji Le Gang,’ and ‘The Original Gang’ led by a single person.

The leader of the Ji Le Gang, Kana, was a single, older woman, and the gang’s members were almost all peculiar women. They spent their days inside the Ji Le Gang stronghold, and various light-hearted and cheerful sounds could be heard from inside. However, no one knew what they were actually doing inside, and outsiders didn’t dare to enter easily.

Although the Ji Le Gang was made up of women, their strength couldn’t be underestimated. The main reason their territory was small was that their leader, Kana, had no interest in dominating or expanding. She was content to stay on her own turf, as long as others didn’t provoke them or encroach on their interests.

Kana was more interested in women, after all.

As for the ‘Original Gang,’ it was more of an individual occupying an area than a gang. They had no interest in expanding their influence outward and preferred to engage in peculiar activities. No one dared to provoke them.

Because no one knew where their leader’s true self was, or maybe, all those strange and mute people were the leader’s true selves.

With the Ji Le Gang and the Original Gang showing no interest in dominating Linyuan City, the remaining ‘Four Kings Gang’ would become the dominant force in Linyuan City, controlling almost all the territories.

Without the balance of the ‘Tiansha Gang,’ the ‘Four Kings Gang’ had achieved breakthroughs on both the scale and absolute strength fronts.

After swallowing Stan’s flesh and blood, ‘Heavenly King’ Kass had become the new ‘Heavenly Lord’ of Linyuan City.

In Linyuan City, a meeting of the Four Kings Gang was held.

This meeting included Gaili, Kass, Xiaotong, and Ashi.

They all enthusiastically shared their recent victories, appearing extremely excited, except for Ashi, who remained silent and listened to the others boasting.

Suddenly, Xiaotong changed the subject, “Recently, many small gangs and groups seem to be getting restless, wanting to occupy a piece of territory. Our strength can’t cover all the areas, and that’s a headache!”

Gaili waved her hand and said, “No big problem. Let’s select eight people, promote them to the rank of King, and deploy them to various areas. They can hold the fort on their own.”

Xiaotong frowned and remained silent, apparently contemplating the feasibility of Gaili’s suggestion.

Gaili knew what Xiaotong was worried about and laughed, “Xiaotong, don’t overthink it. We have Kass to back us up. He’s an all-powerful sixth-level Heavenly Lord!”

Kass couldn’t help but become smug and ruffled his short fur.

Gaili added, “I know what you’re worried about. But trust me!”

What Gaili didn’t know was that for the ‘Four Kings Gang’ to expand, even with ‘trust,’ it still wouldn’t be enough.

In the history of the Zu Hua people, there had been countless powerful mutants who tried various methods to unite the world, to stop the endless devouring and fighting. But without exception, they all failed in the end, not because of external factors, but due to internal self-destruction.

If the core issue isn’t resolved, this matter will never be successful.

After some idle chitchat, Xiaotong asked, “Gaili, there’s another issue. How should we deal with that apparent level-seven mutant weaver?”

Gaili laughed heartily, “He’s a friend!”

Xiaotong furrowed her brow and said, “It’s fine if we consider him a friend, but he might not see us the same way!”

Gaili chuckled inexplicably, “Xiaotong, I consider him a friend. What does it matter whether he considers us friends or not? There’s no problem, right? As long as we treat him as a friend, no matter how powerful he is, can he come after me? Just like how I consider you a friend, would you come after me with a knife?”

Gaili confidently added, “I don’t know about others, but I can see that Wei is a principled person. As long as you maintain a certain balance in your interaction with him, there won’t be any issues!”

The others, including Xiaotong, agreed with this sentiment. They recognized that Gaili was the best they’d ever seen when it came to dealing with people’s psychological vulnerabilities.

Xiaotong worriedly added, “I don’t know who leaked the news about Wei, but almost the entire Linyuan City is spreading rumors about Wei instantly killing ‘Heavenly Lord’ Stan. The stories are becoming increasingly sensational. Some even say they want to leave Linyuan City and seek Wei’s protection in Temple Forest City…”

Gaili chuckled awkwardly, “Ah, that was a slip of the tongue on my part! Haha!”

Xiaotong immediately jumped up and gave Gaili a light pat, “You’re still laughing? What if Wei finds out and comes back to cause trouble for us?”

Gaili grinned, “He won’t, you can relax!”

Cass asked quietly, “Just how strong is Wei?”

Gaili replied casually, “When I shook hands with him, the information I received was that he had the ability to instantly destroy the entire Linyuan City.”

The other three, including Ashi, slowly opened their mouths as if they could fit ten eggs in them.

Cass’s proud evolution suddenly crumbled, and he said in disbelief, “Gaili, you must be joking! How could that be possible? Even the legendary ‘gods’ couldn’t do that! Is he some kind of ‘god’?”

Gaili scratched his head and laughed heartily, “I didn’t believe it at first either, but Wei had that thought at the time! It even startled me! And, don’t dream, Kass, ‘gods’ don’t exist! It’s just a lie!”

Gaili concluded, “Maybe Wei is the person prophesied to bring change, because under normal circumstances, a level-seven mutant as young as him couldn’t exist. His birth alone suggests his extraordinary nature. Besides, even if we’re wrong, it doesn’t matter!”

In Linyuan City, every street and alley was talking about the annihilation of the Tiansha Gang. In many people’s eyes, the Tiansha Gang wasn’t just an ordinary gang; it represented one of the world’s nearly top-tier powers. Yet, a gang with such power had been annihilated overnight.

This incident was as sensational as the destruction of a small country. And what was being discussed most was the mention of ‘Temple Forest City’s Weaver.’ Nearly everyone in Linyuan City now knew that the mastermind behind the ‘Tiansha Gang’s destruction’ was the ‘Temple Forest City’s Weaver.’

This piece of news gradually spread to all the surrounding cities and the Zhu Hua people’s gathering points. Temple Forest City and Weaver became famous. Everyone was highly curious about this extraordinarily powerful mutant who could instantly defeat the nearly invincible ‘Heavenly Lord’ Stan.

However, Weaver remained very mysterious, and there was little information available about him. All people knew was that Weaver came from ‘Temple Forest City’ and was very handsome. Beyond that, there was no accurate information about him.

This led many people with various intentions to set out on the road to Temple Forest City.

This made Temple Forest City lively for the next few years, but very few people were able to see the so-called ‘Temple Forest City’s Weaver.’

The fame of ‘Temple Forest City’s Weaver’ was blazing within the area of Linyuan City and its surrounding cities but was gradually forgotten by people who didn’t get to see him.

Chapter 159 – The Fame of Temple Forest City's Weaver

During the one to two months that Su Hao devoted himself to researching the Little Round Rats, the power structure of Linyuan City underwent a major transformation.

The city's four major gangs had been reduced to three:

    - The Four Kings Gang
    - The Bliss Gang (Ji Le Gang)
    - The Origin Gang, led by a single mysterious individual.

    ---

The leader of the Bliss Gang, Kana, was an older unmarried woman. Nearly every member of her gang was female, and they spent most of their time inside their headquarters.

Laughter, music, and cheerful voices could often be heard from within, but no outsider knew what they actually did there. Few people dared to investigate.

Although the Bliss Gang consisted almost entirely of women, no one underestimated their strength.

The only reason their territory remained relatively small was because Kana had no desire to expand. As long as no one trespassed on her territory or threatened her interests, she was perfectly content staying where she was.

    After all...

Kana's greatest interest was women, not conquest.

    ---

The Origin Gang was even stranger.

Calling it a gang was almost inaccurate—it was more like one mysterious individual occupying an entire district.

They never sought to expand their territory or interfere with anyone else.

Instead, they quietly carried out incomprehensible activities that no one understood.

    Even more unsettling...

No one knew where their leader's true body was.

    Or perhaps...

Every silent, expressionless person wandering that district was the leader.

Naturally, no one dared provoke them.

    ---

With both the Bliss Gang and the Origin Gang uninterested in territorial expansion, the Four Kings Gang quickly became the dominant force in Linyuan City.

Almost the entire city now fell under their control.

Without the Tiansha Gang to keep them in check, the Four Kings Gang experienced explosive growth in both territory and overall strength.

After consuming the flesh of the former Heavenly Lord, Kass successfully evolved from Heavenly King into the new Heavenly Lord of Linyuan City.

    ---

Soon afterward, the Four Kings Gang held an internal meeting.

    Present were:

    - Gaili
    - Kass
    - Xiaotong
    - Ashi

Everyone enthusiastically discussed their recent victories.

Only Ashi remained as quiet as ever, silently listening while the others celebrated.

    Eventually, Xiaotong changed the subject.

"Recently, a lot of smaller gangs have started making moves. They all want to seize territory."

"Our manpower isn't enough to control every district."

    "That's becoming a serious problem."

    Gaili casually waved his hand.

    "Simple."

"Promote eight capable members to the rank of King."

"Assign each of them responsibility over a different district."

"They'll be able to hold those areas on their own."

    Xiaotong frowned thoughtfully.

    She wasn't convinced.

    Gaili immediately understood her concern.

    "Don't overthink it."

    "We have Kass."

    "He's now a sixth-level Heavenly Lord."

    "He'll be our strongest support."

Kass proudly puffed out his chest.

    Gaili continued,

"I know you're worried about loyalty."

    "But trust me."

    ---

    Unfortunately...

Trust alone would never solve the fundamental problem.

Throughout Zhu Hua history, countless powerful mutants had tried to unite the world and end the endless cycle of slaughter.

Every one of them had failed.

    Not because enemies defeated them...

But because they collapsed from within.

Until the true underlying problem was solved...

    No one could succeed.

    ---

After chatting for a while longer, Xiaotong asked,

"What about that apparent seventh-level mutant..."

    "Wei."

"How should we deal with him?"

    Gaili laughed.

    "He's our friend."

    Xiaotong sighed.

"We may regard him as a friend..."

"But he may not think the same."

    Gaili smiled.

    "So what?"

"As long as I consider him a friend, isn't that enough?"

"If I regard someone as my friend..."

"Would they suddenly attack me for no reason?"

    "Just like you."

    "I consider you my friend."

    "Would you stab me?"

Xiaotong rolled her eyes but couldn't argue.

    Gaili continued confidently,

    "Wei is someone with principles."

"As long as we maintain a proper balance in our relationship..."

    "There won't be any problems."

    The others nodded.

Among all the people they had ever met, Gaili possessed an almost frightening instinct for understanding human nature.

    ---

    Xiaotong suddenly remembered something.

    "Another issue."

    "Someone leaked information about Wei."

"Now the entire city knows he instantly killed Heavenly Lord Stan."

"The rumors keep getting more outrageous."

"Some people are even saying they want to leave Linyuan City and seek Wei's protection in Temple Forest City."

    Gaili awkwardly scratched his head.

    "Ah..."

    "That was my fault."

    "I accidentally let it slip."

    Xiaotong immediately smacked him.

    "And you're still laughing?"

"What if Wei hears about it and comes back to settle the score?"

    Gaili simply grinned.

    "He won't."

    "Relax."

    ---

    Kass quietly asked,

    "Just...how strong is Wei?"

    Gaili answered without hesitation,

"When I shook hands with him..."

    "I sensed one thing."

"He possesses the power to destroy the entirety of Linyuan City in an instant."

    Silence filled the room.

    Even Ashi widened his eyes.

Kass's newly gained confidence completely disappeared.

    "Impossible..."

"Not even the legendary gods could do something like that."

    "Is he...a god?"

    Gaili burst into laughter.

    "I didn't believe it either."

"But that's genuinely what Wei believed at that moment."

    "It even frightened me."

    "As for gods..."

    "They don't exist."

    "That's only a myth."

After thinking for a moment, he added,

"Perhaps Wei really is the person foretold in our clan's prophecy."

    "After all..."

"A seventh-level mutant as young as him shouldn't exist."

    "His very existence is extraordinary."

"And even if my judgment is wrong..."

    "It doesn't matter."

"It costs us nothing to treat him as a friend."

    ---

Meanwhile, news spread across Linyuan City like wildfire.

The destruction of the Tiansha Gang shocked everyone.

To ordinary people, the Tiansha Gang wasn't merely a powerful organization.

It represented one of the strongest forces in the entire region.

    Yet it had collapsed overnight.

The event was comparable to the fall of a small nation.

And the person everyone talked about was a single mysterious individual—

The Weaver of Temple Forest City.

According to the rumors, he had single-handedly destroyed the Tiansha Gang and instantly killed the nearly invincible Heavenly Lord Stan.

The story spread rapidly throughout nearby cities and settlements.

Temple Forest City became famous overnight.

Everyone became curious about this terrifyingly powerful mutant.

    Unfortunately...

Almost no reliable information about him existed.

    People only knew three things:

He came from Temple Forest City.

    He was called the Weaver.

    And...

    He was extremely handsome.

Beyond that, every rumor contradicted the next.

Driven by curiosity, ambitious mutants, merchants, wanderers, and countless others began traveling toward Temple Forest City.

For the next several years, Temple Forest City remained unusually lively.

    Yet despite the crowds...

Very few people ever managed to catch even a glimpse of the mysterious Weaver of Temple Forest City.

As time passed, those who never met him gradually forgot the legend.

But within Linyuan City and the surrounding region...

The Weaver's name remained deeply etched into everyone's memory.
