Chapter 861: Lair

— Who is Baku? Su Xiao asked as he held a pistol in his hand, smoke pouring out of the silencer.

These guys were standing in a very dark alley, so it was quite easy to sneak up on them from behind.

He discovered these guys as soon as he entered the city, but decided to ignore them, only even after he rested at the hotel, they still continued to follow him.

There were only two possible explanations for this: the first was revenge, and the second was robbery.

The gun in Su Xiao's hand moved forward and the hot silencer pressed against the man's forehead.

The other man, who was lying on the ground, convulsed and didn't move anymore.

— Baku is a drug lord. Some time ago, he suddenly appeared in the city and destroyed all the competitors. His men were very strong and killed without batting an eye, so he was able to capture the city quickly. I only know that much, so finish me off.

— Where is its headquarters or lair? Landfill on the outskirts?

— Yes, please do that already, one of the bullets hit you right in the spine.

One of the bullets had pierced right through his spine, so his request wasn't surprising.

Su Xiao pulled the trigger, and the man lying on the ground was shot in the head.

After searching the two corpses, Su Xiao found several pistols and three grenades. The pistols were not in the best condition, because they were used very often, and the service was very clumsy.

The 9 mm bullets were fine, as were the two grenades, but the last one was in terrible condition because someone had shot it earlier.

The fact that they were carrying a grenade like this clearly indicated how abnormal they were.

This city was different from how Su Xiao remembered it two years ago. Two years ago, although lawlessness reigned here, there wouldn't have been any thugs who would have ambushed other people right in the city.

But this was probably not uncommon now. From this it became obvious that Baku was not a real leader, because he could not even restore and maintain order here.

After a while, under the dim light of the moon, Su Xiao drove to a scrap metal processing plant on the outskirts of a small town. Since the town was small, he quickly made it to the factory.

As Su Xiao drove up to the factory, he immediately smelled a faint sour smell.

Light yellow smoke rose from the factory's chimneys.

Guards were standing in front of the entrance. They were all wearing gas masks. Some of them had cigarettes in their hands and occasionally took off their gas masks to take a few puffs.

After looking at them, Su Xiao immediately felt that they were strange. There were obvious bulges on the backs of these guys ' arms and necks, and these were most likely muscles that were slightly deformed.

This was definitely not the effect of hard training, but rather the result of injections, and since this was where the fluid was injected, the muscles ended up experiencing very serious side effects.

Su Xiao wanted to get inside the factory. After walking around, he found that there were at least several dozen guards around the factory grounds.

In addition, there was a high watchtower on the territory of the plant, on which red lights shone.

They were just ordinary heat-sensitive traps.

Given Su Xiao's current strength, it was unlikely that he would be able to sneak in without making too much noise.

As Su Xiao got closer to the factory, he took out a grenade.

— One, two, three... - after counting down 3 seconds, he immediately threw out a grenade.

The grenade flew into the air and landed right in front of the five guards. At first they didn't know what it was, and when they did, it was too late.

*BOOM!*

Shrapnel flew in all directions. Three of the guards fell to the ground as if they had been knocked down, and the remaining two managed to jump out of the way.

Dust and smoke covered the entrance.

A few seconds after the explosion, an alarm sounded at the factory, and a large number of security guards began to rush out of the factory. They were all wearing the same black uniforms and gas masks. At first glance, it might seem that they were part of an anti-terrorist squad, but from their chaotic movements, it was obvious that they had not received any systematic training.

A few seconds later, the three guards who had fallen to the ground earlier stood up and started checking themselves. Two particularly quick ones also recovered, but both of them, surprisingly, were very unlucky-they were bleeding and one of them had a punctured lung, but they calmly stood on their own two feet for about half a minute, after which they both fell to the ground.

Seeing this, Su Xiao's pupils narrowed. Ordinary people definitely weren't that strong, even well-trained soldiers wouldn't be able to stand on their own two feet after such contact with a live grenade.

Their stats clearly exceeded 5 points. If it wasn't for the restrictions, he would have dealt with these guys without much trouble, but it wouldn't be very easy for Su Xiao to deal with such people right now.

«Su Xiao thought, for they were clearly much stronger than ordinary people, but he immediately gave up on the idea. Contractors wouldn't want to work for some drug lord, not to mention there were dozens of them in this factory.

Security guards quickly cordoned off the site of the explosion. In just a minute, there were more than twenty of them.

Su Xiao disappeared into the darkness of the night. It's the best chance he'll ever get. He needed to arrive at the lair as soon as possible and stay in a certain place for half an hour.

A certain place, of course, was inside the factory.

Taking advantage of the chaos, he successfully infiltrated inside.

A large building occupied the center and part of the rear part of the factory territory. It was destroyed in places.

Su Xiao squatted down under the window and peered inside through the mud-spattered glass.

There were rows of bulky equipment inside the factory, but they were covered in dust and had not been used for a long time. Inside the factory, several guards with rifles in their hands were standing in front of a staircase that clearly led down.

Why down? This building didn't have a second floor, and the passage to the roof would clearly not be in such a place and would clearly not be guarded by guards.

Su Xiao raised his gun and pointed the muzzle at the head of one of the guards.

*Pouf*

Blood spurted from the guard's head.

— The enemy is attacking! his partner roared. He looked around for cover and at the same time noticed the broken glass in the window with a bullet mark on it.

Without even thinking twice, he raised his rifle and pointed it at the wall near the broken glass.

*Bang,bang...*

Pieces of cement began to fly apart. In just one shop, a new jagged hole was created in the wall.

*Bang, bang, bang ...*

The reinforcements immediately started firing at the wall without further questions.

Bits of glass and cement kept falling to the floor.

— Stop fire! (Cease fire!) One of the guards shouted in English. He was very different from his companions, as he looked like he was either a retired soldier or a mercenary.

With a crash, the glass on the other side shattered and something round flew in.

— Grenade! (Grenade!) the guard shouted and immediately hid in the gap between two large machines.

Several guards were impaled by shrapnel, while those who were more fortunate were only shell-shocked.
