Chapter 286: Elevenfold Power Supply

The experimental data provided by Maiisha was incredibly detailed, greatly inspiring Su Nan.

In just a few days, Su Nan successfully manufactured a finished product.

Ultimately, the reason Maiisha shelved this research wasn’t due to its failure, but rather because the simplified version of the Elemental Furnace produced was nearly useless.

While its efficiency was high, the output power fell short compared to the Elemental Pool. Moreover, the cost was even higher than that of the Elemental Pool, resulting in an absurdly low cost-performance ratio.

Thus, after completing the product, Maiisha relegated this research to the background. Had she not heard Su Nan’s request, she would have forgotten about it entirely.

However, for Su Nan, who possessed the Synthesis Cube, all the shortcomings of this research were inconsequential.

The synthetic enhancement provided by the Magic Cube was sufficient to improve or even eliminate all flaws.

After manufacturing a sufficient number of finished products, Su Nan immediately carried out synthetic enhancement and quickly obtained what he desired.

On the top floor of the Starlight Wizard Tower, the control center was awaiting him.

In the middle of the expansive hall, the original Elemental Pool had been removed, replaced by a construct that spanned hundreds of square meters.

The overall design of the construct resembled a combination of a Magic Crystal Forging Furnace and a pool, entirely fashioned from Magic Steel Ingots and adorned with various Magic Gems, gleaming with a brilliant luster under the light of the Magic Stone Lamp.

Su Nan carefully inlaid the last Element Source Crystal into the construct.

To procure this Element Source Crystal, he had spent a full five days in the Element Space, defeating over a dozen Elemental Giant Elders before he was fortunate enough to "drop" one.

During that time, he narrowly escaped the attention of an Elemental Lord, and it took considerable effort to slip away.

With a radiant burst of light, the light purple crystal transmission pipes before him gradually began to glow. A torrent of Elemental Energy surged forth, instantly filling the entire Wizard Tower.

As the concentration of Energy Particles in the surrounding air increased sharply, a satisfied smile spread across Su Nan's face.

“1, scan Wizard Tower status.”

[Received command, commencing scan of Wizard Tower status. Scan complete.]

A three-dimensional model materialized before him, accompanied by dense streams of text data.

【Wizard Tower: Starlight】 【Level: Large (Enhanced)】 【Current Remaining Energy: 5.68%】 【Intelligent Assistance Spirits: Tower Spirit 1 (Enhanced), Tower Spirit 2 (Enhanced), Tower Spirit 3 (Enhanced)】 【Facilities: Elemental Furnace (Simplified), Levitation Ring, Central Crystal Energy Transmission System, Living Area, Warehouse Area, Laboratory Area, Training Area, Meditation Area, Planting Area】 【Servants: Clay Golem × 1500, Water Sprite × 1140, Fairy × 1266】 【Protective Devices: Mystic Lock Defense Energy Field (Super-Large/Enhanced)】 【Combat Devices: Type III Spell Turret × 300, Type III Disintegration Cannon × 30, Type II Plasma Cannon × 10, Type II Pulse Cannon × 1, Golem Legion (Mithril Golem × 10,000, Tentacle Puppet × 550, Secret Puppet × 75, Shadow Steel Golem × 50, Vajra Golem × 30, Supreme Golem × 8)】

After upgrading to the Elemental Furnace, the storage capacity function of the previous Elemental Pool was lost.

Since the upgrade was recent, the Elemental Furnace's energy was not yet full, with less than 6% energy remaining. Even so, the Wizard Tower's current energy level was already approaching that of the previous full Elemental Pool.

Su Nan estimated that at 100% charge, the current energy would be about eleven times greater than before (the original Elemental Pool had a capacity of 150% energy).

This was undoubtedly a significant improvement.

Even with the simplified version of the Elemental Furnace, which had many of its functions reduced, its energy output was on a completely different level compared to the Elemental Pool!

Using a synthesized and enhanced Large Elemental Pool, a standard Large Elemental Pool would likely only supply one-thirtieth, or even one-fortieth, of the energy produced by the simplified Elemental Furnace.

"With this new energy supply device, all the other facilities can be further enhanced!"

Su Nan was overjoyed. After a moment's thought, he quickly devised a plan.

Upgrading and remodeling all these facilities would take at least several decades.

"Moreover, with war looming, although much of the command could be delegated to Lize, he couldn't completely afford to take a hands-off approach. The time he had to spend on upgrading the Wizard Tower would be limited, so it was best to prioritize certain facilities for upgrades and modifications.

Considering the need to strike the enemy, upgrading long-range firepower was undoubtedly more strategic.

"Let's upgrade the Pulse Cannon first."

Snapping out of his momentary joy, Su Nan immediately immersed himself in his work.

Ulan Plane, North Empire.

A majestic city stood tall on the vast plains, with thirteen concentric walls encircling a dark black castle at the center.

This was Ulan City, the very heart of Ulan Plane.

Even Norse City, the capital and military, political, and economic hub of the North Empire, paled in comparison to Ulan City.

This was the residence of the Wizard of Black Suo Tower.

Luke Harris had just finished his meditation and returned to his study when he saw Fabian enter with hurried steps.

"Master Luke, new orders have been relayed from headquarters."

Luke, taking a quill, scribbled on the parchment without looking up and asked, "What is it? Are they urging us to transfer troops again?"

To his surprise, Fabian shook his head. "No, headquarters has ordered us to temporarily halt troop transfers."

Luke paused, looked up at Fabian in surprise, and asked, "What happened?"

"Headquarters has detected increased movements from the Thousand-Headed Bird, likely under orders from the Wisdom Codex, preparing to attack us. As a precaution, they've decided to stop troop transfers from various planes and have ordered us to prepare for defense."

"Thousand-Headed Bird?" Luke scoffed disdainfully. "Those beast dwellers? When have they ever had the guts to confront us directly?"

Luke wasn't particularly surprised by the Wisdom Codex's actions.

The movements of the Gloomy Throne were so pronounced that it would have been odd for the Wisdom Codex not to notice. It was only natural for them to make some counterattacks.

However, sending the Thousand-Headed Bird to deal with the Black Suo Tower was a blatant display of disrespect."

Fabian wore a strange expression as he said, "It's not just the Thousand-Headed Bird. According to the intelligence we've gathered, it seems the Star Alliance is also involved."

"Star Alliance?"

Luke frowned slightly.

In recent years, the Star Alliance's reputation had risen rapidly. First, they repelled the attack from the Gloomy Throne after the blockade of the Plane was lifted, defeating a candidate for King Robe Wizard. Then, they annihilated the Black Suo Tower's army during the God Corpse Contention.

Each battle was a remarkable achievement.

Moreover, the fact that the Star Alliance originated from the Starlight Continent, a place sealed for two thousand years, only added to their astonishment!

However, the Black Suo Tower, which had served as a stepping stone for the Star Alliance's rise, was very displeased.

"Even with the Star Alliance, the Thousand-Headed Bird is still no match for us," Luke snorted coldly. After a moment of contemplation, he added, "Issue an order for all Legions to enter First Order alert status and be ready for battle at any time."

"Yes, sir!"

Fabian respectfully agreed and turned to deliver the order. However, before he reached the door, a colleague rushed in with a solemn expression.

"Lord Luke, the garrison Wizard of Winterwind City has sent a message. A huge Energy Particle Fluctuation has appeared thirty kilometers southwest of Winterwind City. Initial investigations indicate an invasion by enemies from outside the realm!"

Luke's expression tightened as he exchanged a glance with Fabian, immediately understanding.

"It seems our opponents are very efficient, launching an offensive so quickly."

Luke remained calm, sneering as he ordered the newcomer, "Send out the order for all cities within a thousand miles of Winterwind City to immediately mobilize their garrison forces to the invasion site. We absolutely cannot let them transport their forces unhindered!"

"Yes, sir!"

The messenger quickly took the order and left.

Luke then wrote down several directives on a piece of parchment. Afterward, he gestured, and dark fog emerged from the void, weaving together to form four crows.

"Caw caw!"

The four crows landed on the table, each snatching a parchment scroll, swallowing it whole, and then flapped their wings, flying away from the study.

After relaying the order to mobilize the troops, Luke spoke to Fabian, "Contact the garrison of Winterwind City at Wizard and have them dispatch the Magic Eye Bird to investigate the situation at the point of invasion."

Fabian nodded in agreement, turned, and left. Moments later, he returned, holding a pearl.

The pearl was the size of a chicken egg, pale gray all over, with countless interwoven patterns in the center forming an eye-like design.

As Fabian poured in his Spiritual Power, the pearl suddenly burst into dazzling light, quickly forming a holographic image in the air.

The image showed a downward-facing view from a distance. One could see the Plain blanketed with troops, each wearing armor and riding black panthers, the knights arrayed in neat formations.

Beside them, the Golem Legion stood still like stone carvings, perfectly lined up.

In the distance, Golem Puppets and cavalry continued to pour in, joining their ranks.

High above, thousands of metal giant ships hovered like stars surrounding a moon, encompassing thirteen Wizard Towers and over forty immense castles.

The moment Fabian saw the castles, he exclaimed, "Star Fortress!"

Luke's eyes narrowed slightly, a cold glint flashing within them. "Star Alliance!"

Back in the Earth Crystal Plane, Black Suo Tower had clashed with the Star Alliance, leaving a strong impression of their Star Fortress. He had conducted considerable analysis and research on it and recognized it immediately.

"Contact the other planes immediately," Luke ordered suddenly.

Fabian understood at once and quickly reached out to the other planes through internal channels, receiving responses shortly after.

"The other twenty-one planes have also been invaded. The invaders in Ulan Plane, West Ge Plane, and Man Luo Plane are the Star Alliance, while the invaders in the other eighteen planes are the Thousand-Headed Bird."

"As expected," Luke said, his expression icy. "Attacking three planes at once, the Star Alliance really thinks highly of itself!"

Luke's gaze remained fixed on the image.

Due to the distance and the endless fleets blocking the view, the location of the Plane Channel was obscured, making it impossible to observe the specific details of the Star Alliance's troop deployment.

However, Luke was unconcerned. A mere third-rate Wizard Faction simultaneously attacking three planes meant their invading force was definitely very limited. Given the garrison strength of Ulan Plane, handling the situation would be no problem at all.

Just then, a bolt of lightning suddenly tore through the screen, and in the next moment, the image flickered and vanished.

The Magic Eye Bird used for monitoring had been discovered and destroyed.

Luke stood up and declared, "Gather all Wizards and mobilize every Wizard Tower. This time, we must crush the Star Alliance's reaching hand!"

Having suffered a significant loss at the Earth Crystal Plane, everyone in Black Suo Tower had long harbored deep resentment toward the Star Alliance, but they had been forced to endure it due to their fear of the Wisdom Codex.

Now that both sides had revealed their true intentions, and with the Star Alliance invading Ulan Plane, the perfect opportunity for retaliation had arrived. It was time to annihilate all invading Star Alliance troops and vent their anger.

Fabian nodded solemnly and turned to carry out the orders.

Although Ulan Plane lacked a Star Eye or other Monitoring Network, it had established Teleportation Arrays in various major cities.

Numerous Wizards quickly gathered at Ulan City.

Simultaneously, the sixteen Wizard Towers and thirty-five Black Sota Dreadnoughts guarding Ulan Plane were also preparing to mobilize.

"After receiving your order, my lord, the Fire Scale Knight Order and Golem Legion have set off immediately towards Winterwind City. They are expected to arrive at their destination in two or three hours."

Inside Luke's personal Magic Suo Wizard Tower, more than a dozen Wizards gathered in the Council Hall, discussing their next course of action.

Although the Star Alliance's invasion had come somewhat unexpectedly, Ulan Plane had already been preparing to transfer troops to headquarters and was ready for war. Thus, they were not caught off guard.

In less than half a day, troops from all over had already begun their march to intercept the enemy. The response was swift and decisive.

"Has the scale of the Star Alliance invasion been investigated?" Luke inquired.

The Magic Eye Birds sent to investigate had all been neutralized by the Star Alliance, so Luke simply ordered the Wizards of Winterwind City to personally gather intelligence on the Star Alliance army.

Judging by the time, the information should arrive soon.

As his voice fell, his expression changed, and he reached out to grasp the empty air. In his palm, which had been bare moments before, a black crow materialized seemingly out of nowhere.

As his fingers closed around it, the black crow shattered into wisps of mist, and a piece of parchment emerged, which Luke quickly snatched and began to read.

However, after seeing the information on it, Luke's expression darkened immediately.

"My lord?" Fabian asked, confusion etched on his face.

With a grim look, Luke replied, "Twelve cities, including Winterwind City and Wutong City, have just been captured by the Star Alliance army!"

A hush fell over the hall at his words.

Shock marred the faces of everyone present.

After a long pause, Fabian finally reacted, speaking in disbelief, "How is that possible? Winterwind City has a garrison of 50,000 from the Golem Legion, and the surrounding cities, along with the regular Legion, total over 100,000. It's only been a short time since the Star Alliance's invasion began. How could they possibly have captured so many cities so quickly?"

Luke, his expression still somber, did not answer but instead tossed the parchment to Fabian.

Fabian caught it, his eyes widening as he examined it.

According to the intelligence report, the Golem Legion deployed by the Star Alliance to seize the twelve cities was initially estimated to be over 500,000.

At the same time, even more Golem Legion were advancing toward other cities, but they had yet to arrive due to greater distances.

From this perspective, the Star Alliance had managed to transport at least six or seven hundred thousand Golem Puppets to the Ulan Plane in less than half a day!

How on earth was that possible?
