Chapter 282: Civil War Erupts

Boom!

A deafening roar, powerful enough to pierce clouds and shatter rocks, echoed across the Wilderness sky!

A massive palm-shaped imprint, several meters deep, appeared on the ground as if a chunk had been scooped out. Spiderweb-like cracks radiated from its edges, creating a truly shocking sight!

At the very center of the palm-shaped crater lay the Abomination of God, battered and bruised, its body oozing greenish-blue blood—a pitiful sight indeed.

This single blow had inflicted more damage than all its previous attacks combined!

"Roar!"

The intense pain ignited the Abomination of God’s fury.

Seeing no chance of escape, it roared and charged skyward, intent on killing whoever had attacked it.

"If you don't make your move, this creature will be mine," a cold voice echoed from above.

"Don't boast; you can't handle this creature alone," another voice chimed in, tinged with a faint smile.

As if a switch had been flipped, a violent Energy Particle Fluctuation erupted in the sky, and countless dazzling rays of Spell Radiance surged forth.

The wizards watching from a distance widened their eyes, afraid to miss a single moment.

Such an opportunity to witness a True Spirit Wizard in action up close was rare, filling many with a surge of excitement.

But as the attack truly descended, the dazzling light consumed their entire field of vision.

All the onlookers could see was a kaleidoscope of colors and feel the immense, shocking Energy Particle Fluctuation.

By the time their vision cleared, the Abomination of God had vanished completely.

In the sky above, more than a dozen streaks of light shot toward the mountain cave like falling moons.

"Is it over already?" Bryce muttered, his expression slightly dazed.

Su Nan scoffed, "After all, there were more than ten True Spirit Wizards attacking simultaneously."

If only two or three had joined forces, the recently born Abomination of God might have had a chance to escape.

But with the appearance of more than ten True Spirit Wizards together, the Abomination of God's fate had already been sealed.

After glancing at the mountain cave, Su Nan turned away and left.

The following events had nothing to do with him; it was time to leave.

Before long, Su Nan located the temporary encampment of the Star Alliance army.

The Wizards were already starting to construct the Plane Channel.

Upon seeing Su Nan return, Lize and the others immediately approached him.

Without waiting for them to ask, Su Nan calmly stated, “Don’t worry, the matter has been resolved.”

The crowd breathed a sigh of relief at this news.

Finally, Rose couldn’t contain his curiosity and asked, "My lord, what exactly happened?"

“It was an Abomination of God.”

Su Nan briefly recounted the events, omitting the details of how he extracted the Law Power, only mentioning that he suspected it was a Law Source Vein.

Upon hearing this, everyone exchanged glances, their faces reflecting surprise.

Whether it was a Law Source Vein or an Abomination of God, both were rare occurrences for ordinary Wizards; yet, they had unexpectedly encountered both in such a small Earth Crystal Plane.

"It seems this Earth Crystal Plane is about to become a hot commodity,” Scepter sighed.

"Regardless, we cannot interfere with the Law Source Vein. What we need to do now is expedite the construction of the Plane Channel and then leave the Earth Crystal Plane,” Su Nan instructed.

“Yes, my lord.”

After the others dispersed, Su Nan and Lize returned to the Starlight Wizard Tower. Lize then asked uncertainly, "Do you think those True Spirit Wizards will start fighting over the Earth Crystal Plane?"

"I knew I couldn't hide it from you."

Su Nan smiled slightly.

Having collaborated for so many years, Lize undoubtedly understood him better than anyone else in the Star Alliance.

From that one sentence, she had already sensed his underlying meaning.

“A Main Plane with the potential to develop into a Plane Cluster—its value is undeniable; no Wizard Faction would be willing to let it go.”

“Even so, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll begin fighting, right? They could just cooperate to develop the Earth Crystal Plane together.”

“That is a possibility, but just in case, it’s best if we leave early."

Su Nan didn't elaborate further. After all, Lize lacked his memories of the future, and she didn’t realize that the Earth Crystal Plane was the spark that would ignite the Wizard Civil War. It was normal for her to think that way.

Only he knew that the True Spirit Wizards would soon be at each other's throats over it; the reasons behind it were inconsequential.

What needed to be done now was to quickly leave the Earth Crystal Plane to avoid being dragged into this mess.

Being involved in a battle with a dozen or so True Spirit Wizards was far more terrifying than facing an Abomination of God!

Lize thought Su Nan's words made sense, so he nodded and remained silent.

A little over an hour later, the Plane Channel was completed.

The Star Alliance army immediately passed through the Plane Channel and returned to Starlight Continent.

Compared to the twenty-two hours it took to transport the army to the Earth Crystal Plane, the return journey only took four or five hours.

Once all the troops had passed through the Plane Channel, Su Nan glanced back at the direction of the cave, just in time to sense a sudden and violent burst of energy particle fluctuations emanating from that area.

The intensity far surpassed the previous battle between the Abomination of God and the Wizards!

"As expected, they finally made their move."

A gleam flashed in Su Nan's eyes as he observed for a moment before turning and stepping into the Plane Channel.

Next, preparations needed to be made for the civil war. There was much to do.

The day after returning to Starlight Continent, Su Nan immediately exchanged the resources he had acquired from the Wisdom Codex and invested everything into expanding military power.

The first task, of course, was to increase the number of Puppet refining tasks and the rewards, thus accelerating the growth of the Golem Legion.

Thanks to the resources obtained from the Wisdom Codex, along with a substantial amount of Puppet wreckage acquired from Black Suo Tower, there was no need to worry about materials for Puppet refining in the foreseeable future.

After replenishing the Puppet battle losses during the God Corpse Contention, the Star Alliance swiftly began assembling the Fifth Army Corps.

In addition, the repair of the Wizard Tower was also prioritized.

To quickly enhance the strength of the Star Alliance, Su Nan specifically enacted a new policy that allowed his subordinate Wizards to pay a portion of their Contribution Points in advance to acquire a Wizard Tower, with the difference to be paid in installments over the next hundred years.

This policy was immediately embraced by all the Wizards.

Especially those like Coley, Artier, Tagana, and Fleming, who had already accumulated most of the necessary Contribution Points; they exchanged for their Wizard Towers as soon as the policy was issued.

Those who had already obtained a Wizard Tower, such as Scepter, Fakado, and Rose, promptly upgraded their Small Wizard Towers to Medium Wizard Towers.

Lize was no exception; the only Large Wizard Tower seized from Black Suo Tower naturally became hers.

In addition to the Wizard Tower, the construction of the Star Fortress was also in full swing.

During the battle against Black Suo Tower, the Star Fortress had already proven its combat capabilities.

While the Star Alliance needed time to gradually accumulate Wizard Towers, the Star Fortress undeniably served as the best supplement to War Creation's power.

Similarly, the Flying Fleet also required ongoing assembly.

In other areas, the expansion of the Magic Knight Order could only proceed step by step. After all, even with the support of Dragon Blood Fruit and Dragon Blood Potion, nurturing Knights could not be accomplished overnight; it would ultimately take time.

The Dragon Corps was no exception either.

After establishing trade channels with the Wisdom Codex and the City of All Things, Su Nan acquired a significant quantity of resources to accelerate the nurturing of high-level Subdragons.

One such resource was Dragon Crystal.

This was a rare crystal formed from the corpse of a deceased Dragon Clan member, containing the essence of the entire dragon. It could greatly promote the growth of Subdragon species.

Thanks to this, the rate at which the Bloodline concentration of the high-level Subdragon Clan increased was significantly accelerated.

Now, there were over a dozen Subdragon Clan members within Long Lin whose Bloodline concentration exceeded 90%, totaling tens of thousands.

Even so, Bloodline evolution remained a challenging hurdle.

As of today, the Star Alliance had just over fifty Dragons.

Su Nan estimated that they would need to wait a while longer for the Bloodline concentration of the Subdragon Clan to increase once more, reaching the evolution threshold; after that, the number of Dragons might see an explosive increase.

The Witch Hunter Legion also needed to continue expanding.

Within the Plane War, Wizard-level Puppets had always been the backbone of their forces.

Especially since the current number of Wizards in the Star Alliance was far fewer than those in most second and third-rate Wizard factions, they needed Wizard-level Puppets as even more of a supplement.

Su Nan's goal was to expand the Witch Hunter Legion to a scale of ten thousand.

This ambitious goal presented considerable challenges, requiring a massive amount of resources.

Currently, the Star Alliance consists of two planes: Starlight Continent and Wolf Tide Plane. These alone can support a third-rate Wizard Faction, but they are insufficient for significant expansion."

"If we want to develop quickly, we must rely on the profits from selling Magic Stones at this stage."

Unfortunately, the premature outbreak of the Wizard Civil War disrupted Su Nan's plans.

He had originally intended to conquer one or two planes before the civil war began. By acquiring more territory and resources, the Star Alliance's development could have reached a new level.

Regrettably, plans often do not keep pace with change.

"However, looking at this positively, the Wizard Civil War might not be entirely detrimental to the Star Alliance," Su Nan mused to himself.

Under normal circumstances, it would take several hundred or even thousands of years for the Star Alliance to rise to the status of a second-rate Wizard Force. But if they could conquer a few planes during this war and seize more Wizard Towers, they could significantly shorten that timeline.

Perhaps by the end of the Wizard Civil War, the Star Alliance could join the ranks of the second-rate Wizard Forces. This outcome was not impossible.

In short, with sufficient resources, everything was proceeding in an orderly manner.

After arranging all matters and delegating tasks to his subordinates, Su Nan turned his attention to cultivation.

At the top of the Starlight Wizard Tower, beside the Elemental Pool, he sat cross-legged, examining the seven-colored crystal in his palm.

This crystal, imbued with Law Power, was no larger than an egg, yet its value surpassed that of an entire Large Wizard Tower. If Su Nan were to offer this Law Crystal for trade, many Wizards would undoubtedly be willing to exchange it for a Large Wizard Tower.

After all, possessing this Law Crystal could increase the probability of advancing to True Spirit Wizard by at least ten or twenty percent!

One should not underestimate that ten or twenty percent. The typical chance of a Level 3 Wizard advancing to True Spirit is less than one percent. For the prospect of a ten or twenty percent increase, most Level 3 Wizards would pay a hefty price.

Even True Spirit Descendants are no exception!

"It's just that under normal circumstances, no Wizard Faction would risk damaging their Law Source Vein just to create a Law Crystal, which is essentially a disposable item.

Su Nan happened to be in the right place at the right time and was able to synthesize a Divine Energy Crystal on the spot to serve as a carrier. This fortunate event allowed him to acquire one.

After examining it for a moment, Su Nan put away the Law Crystal and opened his interface panel.

【Spiritual Condensation: 32.42%】

Su Nan estimated that, at his current cultivation speed, it would likely take him another three hundred years or so to break through to Level 3 Crystallization.

His encounter in the Earth Crystal Plane had directly shortened his breakthrough time by over a hundred years!

This was his greatest gain aside from the Law Crystal.

"Come to think of it, if things had followed the original timeline, and the Wizard Civil War hadn’t erupted until around 2600 years after the Starlight Calendar, I should have broken through to Level 3 Crystallization by then."

"But no, that doesn’t make sense. If that had happened, I might not have discovered the Law Source Vein, and my breakthrough time would have extended by another hundred years.”

After letting his thoughts wander for a moment, Su Nan shook his head, collected his focus, closed his eyes, and began to cultivate.

Even though he had left the Earth Crystal Plane, Su Nan was still closely following the aftermath of the incident.

The appearance of the Abomination of God in the Earth Crystal Plane had caused quite a stir in the Wizarding World.

The last time an Abomination of God had appeared was over three thousand years ago.

In that incident, the Abomination of God destroyed three separate planes, wiping out countless biological races.

They had to mobilize five True Spirit Wizards to finally kill that Abomination.

However, this time, the Abomination of God faced worse luck than its predecessor. It appeared while various Wizard Factions were vying for the Divine Corpse and was jointly killed by over a dozen True Spirit Wizards as soon as it emerged.

Before its demise, however, the Abomination still inflicted considerable losses on the various Wizard Factions.

According to the information gathered from investigations, during the battle against the Abomination of God, the various Wizard Factions lost multiple Wizard Towers and their casualties numbered in the hundreds.

Even for the Large Wizard Factions, this was not a small loss."

It’s worth mentioning that Savage Spirit's True Spirit Descendant perished in this battle, alongside Black Suo Tower, marking them as the only two True Spirit Descendants to die in the Wizard Faction.

Shortly after the Star Alliance army departed, various Large Wizard Factions moved into the Earth Crystal Plane.

As for what transpired within the Plane after that, outsiders had no way of knowing.

It wasn't until three months later that many Wizard Factions joined forces once again to blockade the Earth Crystal Plane.

However, this did not mean that the fighting had ceased; it was simply that the major Wizard Factions did not want the war to obliterate the Earth Crystal Plane, so they tacitly shifted the battlefield elsewhere.

In the year 2269 of the Starlight Calendar, Savage Spirit launched a surprise attack on Green Canopy Plane, one of the important Sub Planes in the Sky Sea Plane Cluster.

The Sky Sea Plane Cluster was precisely the territory of the Deep Blue Alliance.

Thus, a major war erupted between the two sides.

In 2270 of the Starlight Calendar, the Star Spirit Clock Tower and Bloodline Jungle clashed in Wind Spring Plane, transforming this unfortunate isolated Plane into a bloody battlefield in less than two days, resulting in the near-complete annihilation of the Indigenous Race.

In the same year, Gloomy Throne frequently interacted with Black Suo Tower, Pale Mask, Flame Pattern Society, and other Black Wizard forces, raising suspicions of preparations to launch a war against Wisdom Codex.

The succession of wars among multiple Large Wizard Factions plunged the entire Wizarding World into immense turmoil.

For a time, everyone was on edge!
