Chapter 277: What a Miracle

The battle on the ground continued, but above, a brief silence descended.

It was a silence akin to death!

Everyone stared blankly at Su Nan, their faces reflecting a look of disbelief, as if they had seen a ghost.

A single strike that had killed nearly three hundred Level One Wizards—what kind of terrifying attack could that be?

Was this truly something a Level 3 Wizard could accomplish?

Even someone like Elliott, a True Spirit Descendant, would be unable to achieve such a feat!

Su Nan exhaled lightly.

Falling Star Rain could be used for a single-target attack or as a ranged assault; however, the power of the latter was too dispersed, resulting in less damage to individuals, and was only sufficient to kill Level One Wizards. Against a Level Two Wizard, it could inflict serious injuries at best.

Then there was the issue of immense energy consumption.

That one strike had drained more than half of his Spiritual Power, leaving him unable to use it a second time.

Fortunately, his goal had already been accomplished.

At this moment, the people inside the Starlight Wizard Tower began to react, and Lize quickly gave the order.

"Everyone, move out!"

The crowd responded eagerly, their expressions filled with excitement.

Su Nan's strike had effectively leveled the high-end combat abilities of both sides, greatly boosting their own morale.

As the Star Alliance and Wizards rushed out of the Wizard Tower, another battle erupted once more.

Compared to the soaring morale of the Star Alliance and Wizards, the spirits of the Black Suo Tower and its Wizards had undoubtedly sunk to rock bottom.

Elliott noticed this and his face turned livid. In his anger, he immediately targeted Su Nan.

He refused to believe that after such a powerful blow, Su Nan could unleash another.

Moreover, such an attack must have demanded an enormous amount of energy. Su Nan was now significantly weakened, making this the perfect opportunity to eliminate him.

As long as he killed Su Nan, he could greatly undermine the morale of the Star Alliance and turn the tide of battle.

However, while Elliott correctly deduced the first part, he miscalculated the latter.

Although Su Nan could not use Falling Star Rain again, the enhancement from his Talent Specialization on Liquid Metal and Absolute Forbidden Zone was still in effect.

With nearly four times the original power, the two Super and Innate Abilities unleashed astonishing strength!

The moment they clashed, Elliott was nearly pierced by the terrifying silver Metal Storm. His renowned Superior Talent Ability, "Frostfire," was completely outmatched by the Liquid Metal.

"Damn it! What kind of Innate Ability is this guy using?"

Elliott was both shocked and confused.

Although he possessed the Talent Specialization Alchemy Imprint on his body, even activating its enhancements didn't bring his Innate Ability's amplification anywhere near that of Su Nan's. They were on completely different levels, which left him in disbelief.

After a dozen exchanges, Elliott couldn't even get within ten meters of Su Nan. The pervasive, invisible Heavy Pressure that surrounded him had dulled the Dark Black Flame on his skin, drastically reducing his flight speed. He couldn't dodge the incoming Metal Storm at all and could only face it head-on.

Elliott had always been far stronger than other Wizards of his level, so he had never encountered such a frustrating battle. The anger in his heart was on the verge of exploding.

Yet, as his eyes scanned the surroundings, his pale face eased slightly.

Despite suffering a significant setback against Su Nan, most of his twenty-odd Second Level Wizards had managed to avoid death, and their numbers were far greater than those of the Star Alliance faction. With their leadership, the Black Suo Tower still firmly controlled the situation.

As time passed, they would surely begin to gain the upper hand. As long as he could buy time until his subordinates dealt with the other Wizards and came to support him, he would undoubtedly be able to kill Su Nan!

Elliott took a deep breath and adopted a defensive stance. Although reluctant, he decided to engage in a battle of attrition.

However, what he could notice, Su Nan would not overlook.

"The Star Alliance's accumulation of high-end combat power is still a bit lacking," Su Nan mused.

He had worked tirelessly to cultivate these Wizards, not wanting to see too many casualties in this war. Otherwise, even if he defeated the Black Suo Tower, the God Corpse Fragments gained would not be enough to compensate for the losses.

His mind raced, and Su Nan quickly made his decision.

He flicked his wrist, and a pitch-black spearhead materialized in his palm. Then, as he clenched his fist, a deep black light burst from between his fingers, solidifying into a jet-black spear.

Thin, serpentine arcs of black lightning danced and flickered across the spear's surface, radiating a heart-pounding, violent aura.

"Gloomy Throne's Black Thunder?"

Elliott's gaze was drawn to the black spear, a flicker of surprise and doubt crossing his face.

But he quickly sensed that something was amiss.

Gloomy Throne's Black Thunder was merely a Shimmering Magic Item; it couldn't possibly possess such an astonishing presence.

The black spear in Su Nan's hand even made the back of his neck tingle faintly!

Yet Elliott didn’t have the luxury to ponder further. With a sudden flick of Su Nan's hand, the black spear tore through the void like a lightning bolt, hurtling toward him like a shooting star!

After breaking into the Level 3 Liquefaction realm, Su Nan had also begun to synthesize and enhance his wizard tool.

Black Thunder was already an extreme offensive Type 3 wizard tool. After being synthesized and enhanced, its attack power far surpassed that of ordinary Type 3 wizard tools, nearly reaching Type 4!

In the blink of an eye, the black spear was before Elliott, and the violent lightning energy within it instantly shattered his layers of protective barriers, making his skin tingle.

Under the intense, deadly threat, Elliott's expression shifted dramatically, and without hesitation, he activated the Type 3 wizard tool on his person.

Kacha!

With a crisp grinding sound, countless thumb-thick black iron chains appeared out of thin air, crisscrossing to form a massive iron wall in front of him.

The next second, the black spear crashed into the iron wall, and a dazzling spell light exploded outward!

Kacha-mi!

Large cracks spread across the iron wall before it shattered into fragments.

Fortunately, the black spear had finally exhausted its energy and vanished into nothingness.

However, Elliott's expression remained grim.

The black spear had broken through multiple layers of his defenses. Though it had expended a significant amount of energy, it had still managed to annihilate and neutralize his wizard tool. Didn’t that mean Su Nan's wizard tool was far stronger than his own Type 3 wizard tool?

But how could that be possible?

"You had to know, his Wizard Tool was gifted to him by his father, a True Spirit Wizard. Among the numerous third-tier Wizard Tools, it could be considered top-notch, yet it was still overshadowed by Su Nan's Wizard Tool.

How could someone from a Sealed Plane background, with no connections or resources, possess such a powerful third-tier Wizard Tool?

Elliott was filled with suspicion and uncertainty, but before he could unravel the mystery, his eyes suddenly widened again.

He saw Su Nan flip his wrist, and instantly another identical black spearhead appeared in his hand.

"Are you kidding me?"

Elliott's gaze was blank.

That powerful third-tier Wizard Tool? Su Nan actually possessed more than one?

Swoosh!

Amidst the piercing sound of tearing through the air, another black streak of lightning darted across the sky!

Elliott's face changed drastically. He let out a sharp roar, and the flames on his body suddenly blazed in layers, enveloping him entirely. Various Protective Spells and Magic Items were also activated.

In the next instant, the black lightning struck him with pinpoint accuracy!

Crack, crack!

The sound of shattering glass rang out one after another, and in that moment, countless pieces of Magic Items on Elliott's body were shattered, surpassing their defensive limits. Various Spell rays of light flashed and vanished one after another!

A violent wave of lightning erupted, engulfing Elliott completely, and a heart-wrenching scream echoed from within!

Whoosh!

The black flames surged up as if in a final burst of energy, rising and burning, consuming the lightning before quickly dimming, revealing Elliott's figure.

He was far from his previous high-spirited self; his body was a complete mess, covered in scorched wounds left by the lightning. Even the Magic Robe he wore was torn and tattered.

When had Elliott ever been so disheveled? Yet, he couldn't even focus on his anger right now. He stared wide-eyed at Su Nan, who had pulled out another black spearhead, his contorted face a mixture of horror and despair.

In the next moment, he suddenly vanished from his spot.

When he reappeared, he was over a thousand meters away. He then used the Blink Technique once more, rushing another thousand meters further."

In that instant, Elliott completely lost all thoughts of winning or anything else; his mind was solely focused on escaping. He was terrified by Su Nan's relentless methods.

Watching Elliott flee, Su Nan smiled faintly and unhesitatingly hurled the Black Thunder in his hand.

Thunk!

The pitch-black lightning shot across several kilometers, striking Elliott like a fierce bolt! Elliott’s trump cards had already been exhausted in the previous battle, leaving him helpless, submerged in the exploding black lightning, despair written all over his face.

A dazzling ball of light suddenly erupted in the sky, resembling a black sun rising out of thin air, with violently dancing lightning scattering everywhere! Then the light abruptly contracted, the lightning shrinking rapidly until it finally formed a black dot and vanished.

Elliott, however, was long gone without a trace. Only Su Nan remained in place. He spread his palm, revealing a few Wizard Tools and a Space Ring resting quietly within. These were the few items he had managed to salvage during the previous attack; otherwise, they too would have been turned to ashes along with Elliott.

After collecting his spoils, Su Nan turned and charged toward the other Black Suo Tower Wizards. Upon witnessing this, the group of Black Suo Tower Wizards was immediately struck with terror. They never expected Elliott to be defeated so swiftly by Su Nan. The two had not even fought for a quarter of an hour, and already Elliott had been completely annihilated!

Seeing the killing star rush toward them, the Black Suo Tower Wizards were greatly alarmed and lost all desire to continue fighting, resolutely fleeing in every direction.

Su Nan tossed an Inscribed Gem, transforming it into a bolt of lightning that struck a Wizard. After breaking through to Level 3 Liquefaction, the number of Inscribed Gems he could synthesize had increased to one hundred and three, and their power had surged to the point where they could instantly kill a second-tier Liquefaction Wizard. Even a Second Stage Crystallization Wizard would sustain serious injuries if struck by one.

The most powerful of the Black Suo Tower Wizards present was only at the Second Level of Crystallization, and none of them were at their peak. Therefore, if struck by an Inscribed Gem, it was virtually certain they would meet their end on the spot.

Having chased them for over a hundred kilometers in one breath, Su Nan alone had thrown out seventy or eighty Inscribed Gems, killing ninety-three Wizards in the process.

The other Wizards of the Star Alliance seized the opportunity to target the stragglers, eliminating quite a few more enemies.

The four hundred or so Wizards from Black Suo Tower, who had arrived with such great momentum, ultimately saw only twenty or thirty escape—this loss was nothing short of devastating.

With the upper echelon of Wizards either dead or fleeing, the Black Suo Tower army on the ground lost heart as well. Aside from the Golem and the Wizard Tower, which continued to resist under the control of the Tower Spirit, the rest of the army quickly collapsed.

In contrast, the Star Alliance army found their morale greatly boosted, quickly gaining the upper hand and forcing the enemy into a complete rout.

Given how the war had progressed, the victory of the Star Alliance was already a foregone conclusion.

To seize the remaining Wizard Tower of Black Suo Tower perfectly, Su Nan ordered everyone to slow their offensive, focusing only on depleting the enemy's energy reserves and waiting for them to run out before launching a decisive attack.

As the Star Alliance remained focused on the Black Suo Tower Wizard Tower, two Wizards watched the battlefield intently from a distance through a Scrying Demon Eye.

When they saw Elliott fall in battle and the Black Suo Tower Wizards thoroughly defeated, a strange light flashed in the eyes of the leading young Wizard.

"I didn't expect the Star Alliance to send so many troops here," he remarked.

Cyril, who stood slightly behind him, chuckled and said, "I sensed something was amiss earlier, but I didn’t expect them to deploy such a significant force. It seems they must have mastered some means of rapidly transporting soldiers!"

The young man nodded subtly, though he didn’t take it too seriously.

There were countless magical methods in the Wizarding World; as a True Spirit Descendant, he had encountered many and was not easily surprised.

Instead, it was Su Nan's displayed power that piqued his interest more.

"Looking at Su Nan, it seems he has already broken through to Level 3 Liquefaction."

"Just Level 3 Liquefaction alone is enough to kill a True Spirit Descendant like Elliott. No wonder Maiisha values him so much, claiming he has a great chance of reaching True Spirit Wizard in the future."

Hearing the youth's words, Cyril chuckled but remained silent.

He knew that both Ronning and Maiisha were True Spirit Descendants and had a competitive relationship. The two often clashed, and after Maiisha recommended the Star Alliance as an affiliate of Wisdom Codex, Ronning became intrigued by the Star Alliance.

This was the primary reason Ronning had brought Cyril here.

"For a plane that has been sealed for two thousand years to give birth to such a genius is truly a miracle."

Ronning sighed and then turned to leave.

"Let's go back. There are fewer undiscovered God Corpse Fragments, and the Gloomy Throne has been restless lately. They are probably about to make their move."

Cyril quickly followed, asking, "My lord, who do you think the Gloomy Throne will target?"

Ronning chuckled, "The Gloomy Throne isn't stupid. Unless it’s a situation like the Deep Blue Alliance and Savage Spirit, they'll only go after weaker opponents. It won’t be more than those few Second Rate Wizard Factions."

"That's true," Cyril agreed.

Only a handful of Wizard Factions ventured into the Earth Crystal Plane. Aside from a few major Wizard Factions and Wisdom Codex-affiliated organizations, there were very few remaining.

The Gloomy Throne’s options were quite limited.

"My lord, what do you think we should do next?" Cyril asked.

Ronning pondered for a moment and said slowly, "The most important Head of Divine Corpse still hasn't been found, so we will focus on that next. There aren’t many unsearched areas left in the Earth Crystal Plane."
