Chapter 213: Tower Spirit 1
"Let me introduce you. This is Sheman Cole, and this is Fleming."
Before long, Artier approached with Tagana and made the introductions. Turning to them with a smile, he said, "Tagana doesn’t need much of an introduction, right?"
"Of course, I've long heard of Tagana's reputation," Sheman offered with a gentle smile.
The four exchanged greetings. Perhaps influenced by Artier, Tagana's attitude towards the three was neither overly enthusiastic nor cold.
As the group began to chat casually, the topic gradually shifted to a recent event.
"I heard the Star Alliance is planning to form a team to explore the Rainbow Sea and that they also intend to build a base there."
"A sea base?"
"Yes, it's not a difficult task for the Star Alliance."
"That’s true." Fleming nodded in agreement.
"But why does the Star Alliance suddenly want to explore the Rainbow Sea? Could it be that after unifying the Underworld, they seek a new target for conquest?" Fleming joked.
Sheman replied seriously, "I don’t think that’s the case. Conquering the entire Rainbow Sea isn’t cost-effective."
The Rainbow Sea is vast and boundless, home to countless living species. Attempting to conquer such a vast expanse would require manpower and resources enough to make anyone's scalp tingle. Even with rich resources, it wouldn’t be worth it.
Instead of a full-scale conquest, it would be more practical to establish a few bases in resource-rich areas and develop those resource spots.
There may be better methods, but the Star Alliance’s understanding of the Rainbow Sea is still too limited. They need to gather more information before making a decision.
"The Academy has also issued exploration missions for the Rainbow Sea, stipulating that only second-level Three Wizard Apprentices can accept them. Is anyone interested in going?" Sheman asked.
"Looking at you, I'd say you're planning to go," Artier said with a smile.
Sheman didn’t hide her intentions and nodded in agreement, then added, "But not just yet."
"Exploring the Rainbow Sea isn't something that can be accomplished quickly; this task will take considerable time. I've recently been promoted and still need to learn the Second Circle Spell. It would be wise to pursue the exploration of the Rainbow Sea after achieving some results."
Coley nodded in agreement, saying, "Me too."
Artier, Fleming, Tagana, and a third person felt a flicker of temptation upon hearing this.
On one hand, they were intrigued by the Rainbow Sea, and on the other, they were enticed by the rewards of the task.
Typically, the rewards for such exploration missions are quite generous. The gains from a single task could equal those from more than ten Academy missions.
Noticing their interest, Sheman smiled and proposed, "If you don't mind, how about we embark on this together when the time comes?"
Artier and Tagana exchanged glances and nodded in unison. Fleming, too, did not hesitate and quickly agreed.
Exploration tasks usually carry a high danger level, and since they would venture into unfamiliar waters, joining a team that consisted of two Level Three Wizard Apprentices would greatly enhance their safety.
He certainly wouldn’t miss this excellent opportunity to team up with stronger players.
In Sector 2 of the Dragon Forest, within a vast clearing, a magnificent tower with deep blue hues stood tall. The towering structure, over six hundred meters high, pierced the sky like a long spear.
Standing before the tower, Su Nan marveled at the unique majestic aura of this magnificent edifice, which filled his heart with awe.
As he gazed at the Wizard Tower that belonged solely to him, a joyful smile spread across his face.
Although it was merely a shell and there was still much to complete inside, it already brought him immense happiness.
"The tower structure and base have been built, and the Central Crystal Energy Transmission System has also been completed. Next, I need to focus on the Elemental Pool and Tower Spirit."
Su Nan made his way to the control center located on the highest floor of the Wizard Tower.
The layout here resembled that of the Dragon Bone Tower's control center, surrounded by an infinite starry sky encompassing a suspended hall; however, this area was even more expansive.
In the center of the hall lay a square pool, its surface adorned with dense and intricate talismans.
This was the Elemental Pool of the Wizard Tower, and judging by its volume, it was at least twice the size of the Elemental Pool in the Dragon Bone Tower.
Su Nan took out the prepared Gemstones from his Space Ring, skillfully sculpting them into eight-sided rhombuses. He then embedded them into the Magic Array of the Elemental Pool, making them appear as a natural whole, before injecting his Spiritual Power.
Buzz!
The entire Elemental Pool trembled violently, while the surrounding space cracked open with fissures.
Behind these fissures appeared an abyss-like sea, an endless sky, a fiery ocean that could boil the heavens and scorch the earth, and a thick, solidified crust. All these energies emerged from the Elemental Plane, with countless Energy Tides pouring in and merging to create streams of deep blue water that surged into the Elemental Pool.
At the same time, a rich and vibrant Energy enveloped the entire Wizard Tower.
The Elemental Pool was successfully activated!
Su Nan took a deep breath, feeling refreshed and invigorated by the Elemental Energy in the air.
"The Energy absorption speed and storage capacity are more than twice that of the Dragon Bone Tower's Elemental Pool, and the Spiritual Power recovery speed and meditation efficiency have also increased more than double."
He immediately decided to cultivate near this Elemental Pool in the future, as it would greatly improve his efficiency.
"The Energy supply for the Wizard Tower is essentially complete; the remaining Levitation Ring can be constructed last."
"Next, I need to activate the Tower Spirit."
Su Nan reached out and touched the air, and instantly a Crystal Ball, about half a person's height, materialized before him on the open ground.
The azure Crystal Ball was round and crystalline, radiating brilliance like the finest Gemstone while exuding a profound and vibrant charm.
This was the Tower Spirit that Su Nan had refined using a Legendary Soul Crystal and a large amount of rare materials.
The single Legendary Soul Crystal alone consumed one of the three points from his accumulated Soul Crystal reserves.
Adding in the other materials, the total cost amounted to a staggering 24 million Gold Coins.
Even so, Su Nan felt it was worth it.
Unlike other materials, synthesizing high-level Soul Crystals from low-level ones was actually cheaper than artificially creating high-level Soul Crystals.
After all, to create a Legendary Soul Crystal, one would need at least the soul of a Level One Wizard or a creature of similar level, or the souls of thousands of Fourth Circle legendary-level creatures.
"Compared to that, it was clearly much easier to manufacture several thousand Miniature Soul Crystals.
In Wizard Civilization, Legendary Soul Crystals often couldn't be bought with Gold Coins and could only be obtained through bartering.
If Legendary Soul Crystals were to be made artificially, the cost of the Tower Spirit would definitely far exceed twenty-four million Gold Coins.
"Only one Tower Spirit is needed for the construction phase. Once the Wizard Tower is completed, we'll create two more Tower Spirits."
Su Nan patiently waited for a moment until the Elemental Water in the Elemental Pool was full, then extended his index finger to press on the surface of the Crystal Ball, injecting his Spiritual Power.
With this action, the surface of the Crystal Ball instantly lit up with a faint golden glow.
At the same time, the Elemental Pool began to stir, and countless azure Elemental Waters formed a water tornado that surged into the golden light.
The Crystal Ball frantically absorbed the Elemental Power, and the Elemental Water in the pool decreased rapidly, almost visibly.
In just five minutes, the Elemental Water was nearly depleted.
Suddenly, a hum echoed through the air.
Time seemed to freeze in that moment.
The golden light contracted sharply, transforming into a pure golden crystal that sank into the Crystal Ball, hovering at its center like a golden eye.
【Master】
A mechanical voice devoid of emotion rang out:
【Tower Spirit 1 has awakened in accordance with your call!】
A satisfied smile appeared on Su Nan's face.
"Tower Spirit 1," he said softly, "Scan the Wizard Tower structure."
A cold mechanical voice resounded in his mind:
【Received the command. Beginning to establish connection with Wizard Tower.】
【Connecting... 1%... 4%... 100%. Connection successful.】
【Beginning scan of Wizard Tower... Scan complete.】
【Importing design blueprints... Import complete.】
【Integrating data... Integration complete. Beginning to establish a three-dimensional model.】
Countless thin rays of light appeared out of nowhere, weaving together in front of Su Nan to form a three-dimensional model identical to the Wizard Tower.
【Wizard Tower: Unnamed】 【Level: Small (Construction Progress: 12.47%)】 【Current Remaining Energy: 2.21%】 【Smart Assistant Life: Tower Spirit 1】
【Facilities: Elemental Pool (Small), Central Crystal Energy Transmission System, Living Area (construction progress 89.34%), Warehouse Area (construction progress 76.22%), Laboratory Area (construction progress 25.16%), Training Area (construction progress 46.91%), Meditation Area (construction progress 88.21%), Planting Area (construction progress 9.27%).】 【Servants: Clay Golem × 124】 【Defensive Systems: None】 【Combat Systems: None】
"Let's just call it Starlight."
Su Nan casually chose a name, and with a wave of his hand, the Wizard Tower model automatically disassembled into dozens of sections.
He meticulously examined each area. The Living Area, Warehouse Area, and Laboratory Area had only completed their main structures, and the various enchantments of the Magic Array had yet to be inscribed, leaving their construction progress still far from 100%.
"Next, I need to address the space planning issue," he mused. "The Mystic Lock Defense Energy Field should also be constructed."
For any Wizard Tower, resolving the energy problem was the first step, followed by establishing defensive systems.
"Though I lack the resources to build a Medium Wizard Tower, I can start with the Elemental Pool, the Mystic Lock Defense Energy Field, and the offensive systems to enhance the Wizard Tower's power," Su Nan thought to himself.
He had long envisioned using the Synthesis Cube to strengthen the Wizard Tower. If he couldn't create a Medium Wizard Tower, an enhanced version of a Small Wizard Tower would suffice.
Once the Dimensional Barrier was restored, and he could connect to other planes, he would find a way to acquire the resources needed to upgrade the Wizard Tower.
As he regained his focus, Su Nan turned his attention back to the Tower Spirit. With the Legendary Soul Crystal as a carrier, the Tower Spirit's body possessed extremely powerful terminal computing abilities, capable of assisting him with experiments.
With the Tower Spirit's help, future research into the Talent Crystal Model or even the development of a weakened version of the Construct Potion would be much easier.
The Tower Spirit's formidable data analysis capabilities were comparable to those of some weaker deities. Gods had to receive the prayers of millions of believers daily while responding to countless priests' divine arts. This level of computing power surpassed even the most advanced artificial intelligence systems.
"The remaining Soul Crystal is just enough to create two legendary crystals, sufficient to refine two more Tower Spirits."
"However, after deducting this portion of Soul Crystal, the remainder is very limited."
With the war concluded, Soul Crystal suddenly lost its most significant source.
Su Nan regretted not having produced more during that time.
But there was no way around it; at that moment, only he and Scepter Three were capable of making Soul Crystal, and they were also preoccupied with cultivation and learning. They were stretched thin and couldn't afford to wander about all day, which prevented them from fully taking advantage of the opportunities the war had provided.
Now, the materials for producing Soul Crystal are strictly limited to death row inmates from various cities in the Empire and some dangerous creatures from the Underworld.
The annual yield is barely sufficient to meet the demands of the Star Alliance and Starlight Academy.
Of course, if they were ruthless enough to use ordinary civilians as material for Soul Crystal, they could quickly produce a significant quantity.
But Su Nan was ultimately not that kind of heartless Wizard; he simply couldn't bring himself to do such a thing.
"Unless we can open up another battlefield..."
A glint flashed in Su Nan's eyes as he gazed toward the northwest.
It appeared that countless creature populations existed in the Rainbow Sea, which might be an ideal location for producing Soul Crystal.
After pondering for a moment, Su Nan formed a vague idea in his mind, though he needed to plan it out carefully.
Leaving the Wizard Tower, Su Nan returned to Dragon Bone Tower. Just as he entered the control center, he spotted Hidden Dragon lying beside the Elemental Pool.
On its massive, thick back, a lazy cat was perched.
"Those two continue to get along as well as ever," Su Nan smiled slightly.
Thanks to Hidden Dragon's enhancement surgery, his Biological Modification skill had now reached level 5.
Now it was Ke Yi's strength that hadn’t kept pace; it was estimated that there wouldn’t be a need to consider Bloodline fusion for at least another ten years.
Due to having access to a large amount of Sub-Dragon blood for synthesizing Dragon Blood enhancements, Hidden Dragon’s strength increased at a commendable rate.
Using Wizard power levels as a reference, Hidden Dragon's current power was about 40% to 50% of a First Level Vaporization.
If Su Nan hadn't inadvertently discovered the method of using Elemental Crystal Dust to synthesize Elemental Crystal Cores to absorb Divine energy, his own strength would likely have fallen behind that of Hidden Dragon.
"Right now, the Hidden Dragon can secure a guaranteed victory in a one-on-two fight, achieve a tie in a one-on-three encounter, but only falls behind when facing four opponents.
The primary reason for this advantage lies in the Dragon's high energy resistance.
The Zero Ring, First Ring, and Second Circle Spells mastered by the Secret Puppet are all ineffective against the Hidden Dragon, and even the damage from Third Circle Spells is significantly mitigated.
In terms of pure strength, the Secret Puppet is also inferior to the Hidden Dragon, who is a Dragon.
It can be said that the Hidden Dragon is exceptionally effective against the Secret Puppet.
In fact, even Wizards face similar challenges when confronting Dragons.
Their spell damage is limited, and they primarily rely on innate abilities, magical tools, or other means to counterattack, placing them at a disadvantage in battles against Dragons.
It's not just Wizards; many races in the Multiverse encounter the same dilemma when facing Dragons.
This is also a key reason why the Dragon race has become one of the top races in the Multiverse.
