Chapter 200: Lightning Elemental Plane

In the Northwest Region of the continent, the Council of Truth was notorious as the most fearsome Wizard Organization. Despite its infamy, there was no doubt that the Council of Truth reigned supreme in the Northwest Region, suppressing all other Wizards for hundreds of years. This left rival organizations seething with anger, yet too fearful to voice their discontent.

However, such a formidable Wizard Organization was ruthlessly obliterated by Su Nan. The strength of a Formal Wizard was undeniable!

What made this situation even more alarming was that Su Nan was the biological brother of the Star Emperor. If he decided to intervene, even the combined forces of numerous countries in the Northwest Region would be no match for these two brothers.

Everyone present recognized this truth.

Yet understanding the situation was one thing; finding a solution was entirely another matter.

Faced with a Wizard so powerful that he could dismantle the Council of Truth, they struggled to conceive a plan against him.

Triff did not expect anyone to devise a solution immediately. He paused for a moment before continuing, "Although Su Nan is powerful, it’s not as if we are completely without options."

"If we unite all the Level Three Wizard Apprentices in the Northwest Region to act together, we still have a chance to defeat him."

Aurora King's eyes sparkled at the suggestion, but hesitation crept in. "But... how can we unite all the Level Three Wizard Apprentices?"

The Level Three Wizard Apprentices were all esteemed guests of royal families, prestigious sects, and major noble clans from various countries. Their status and influence were comparable to that of a king. The Aurora Kingdom lacked the authority to call them all to unite.

"The Russell Family can be persuaded to take action!" Triff asserted, determination etched on his face. "The Russell Family holds immense prestige in the entire Northwest Region's Wizard community. If they step forward, others will surely respect their decision."

"Uniting is advantageous for everyone, anyway. I believe they, too, do not wish to see the Prosperous Star Empire unify the Northwest Region!"

Aurora King, convinced by Triff's arguments, nodded emphatically. "Very well, I will write a letter to Facardo Russell immediately!"

Meanwhile, in Starlight Academy’s Teaching Building…

As soon as class ended, Donohan grabbed Fleming and hurried out of the classroom, racing toward the cafeteria.

"Hurry up! I heard the cafeteria’s recommended menu today includes Thers Fruit. If we're too late, it might be gone!"

Fleming said helplessly, "It's just Thers Fruit, right? Silver Moon Flower Essence can also increase spirit activity, and the prices are the same. Is it really necessary to be so worked up about it?"

Donohan pursed his lips. "How can they be the same? The salad made with Thers Fruit tastes far better than Silver Moon Flower Essence. With the same price, why wouldn’t I choose Thers Fruit?"

He gestured around. "Look, all these people are heading for Thers Fruit."

Fleming looked around and indeed saw many students hurrying along, all making their way toward the cafeteria. You wouldn't see a scene like this on a normal day.

Scratching his cheek, Fleming couldn't quite understand. Is the taste really that important?

Noticing his puzzled expression, Donohan rolled his eyes. "Forget it; it's impossible to explain to someone like you, a study god."

Ever since discovering that Fleming had self-studied three basic courses in just half a month, Donohan had given him the nickname "study god."

As Fleming completed the basic courses in just two years and began signing up for advanced courses, his reputation as a study god started to spread throughout the academy.

Donohan genuinely admired his friend. You have to know that Fleming took only eighteen days to grasp the basics of Star Ring Meditation, and then he only needed about nine months to construct his first Star Ring.

In Starlight Academy, this record is second only to Senior Sheman, Senior Coley, and Senior Ethan.

These three are all recognized as the leaders among Starlight Academy students and are currently leading armies in battle outside the Underworld.

To be compared with these three shows just how outstanding Fleming is.

Many people say Fleming's talent is exceptional, but only Donohan knows how hard Fleming works in private, pouring almost all his energy into cultivation and learning.

Donohan almost never saw Fleming do anything for entertainment. The most he did was stare blankly at the Water Sprite while eating in the cafeteria.

Because of this, Donohan teased him, saying that once he mastered the Level One Summon Monster Technique, he should just try summoning a Water Sprite and convince her to sign a contract and become his maidservant.

It must be said that Fleming was immediately intrigued. After rushing through the halls, the two finally managed to snag two portions of Thers Fruit just before it sold out. Having eaten and drunk their fill, Donohan stepped out of the cafeteria and let out a satisfied sigh.

“Just as the effects of the last Silver Moon Flower Essence wore off, Thers Fruit can take its place for the next ten days,” he remarked.

“Fleming, where do you plan to go next? The Library or the Task Hall?” Donohan asked. When he didn’t hear a response, he turned to find Fleming staring intently at something.

“What’s wrong?”

Following Fleming's gaze, Donohan noticed a throng of students moving excitedly in a single direction.

“What’s going on?” he asked, a look of surprise on his face.

Fleming shook his head; he was just as curious. Seeing this, Donohan seized a nearby student who looked approachable and asked, “Hey brother, where is everyone headed?”

“To the Academy gate.” The student gave them a puzzled look. “Don’t you know? Senior Sheman and Senior Artier returned from the Underworld today.” With that, he hurried off.

“Senior Sheman!” Donohan’s eyes lit up, and he immediately tugged on Fleming’s arm. “Let’s go check it out!”

This time, Fleming didn’t object. He’d heard countless tales of Sheman's exploits during his time at the Academy, but he had never seen him in person and was eager to satisfy his curiosity.

The two quickly made their way to the Academy gate, arriving just in time to see a crowd gathering around a man and a woman as they walked in. The woman was strikingly beautiful, with a gentle smile that radiated warmth; her demeanor was refined and graceful. Fleming instantly recognized her—this must be Senior Artier. He had heard that she was kind and well-liked among the students, with many admirers, yet so far, no one had seen her with anyone.

As for the man beside her, it was obvious he was Senior Sheman. While not conventionally handsome, he exuded a sense of calm and composure. It was clear at a glance that he had a steady and reliable personality.

Sheman and Artier were surrounded by a cluster of senior students, like stars in the night sky, while the new students on the outskirts could only watch from afar.

"I heard Senior Sheman has already constructed his seventh Star Ring!"

"Ah, that fast? Does that mean he's about to advance to a Level Three Wizard Apprentice?"

"The Traveler Mentor said himself that Senior Sheman will likely break through and advance before he turns fifty!"

"Amazing! I'd be thanking the heavens if I could reach Second Level Wizard Apprentice by fifty."

"He truly is the prized student of Master Sunan."

Listening to the discussions around him, Fleming couldn't help but feel a pang of envy. He also wanted to become an outstanding Wizard Apprentice like Senior Sheman.

As he watched Sheman gradually move away with the crowd, Fleming withdrew his gaze and decided to leave.

"Where are you going?" Donohan asked.

"To the Meditation Room," Fleming replied, waving his hand without looking back.

Rather than standing there watching, he would rather go back and cultivate diligently. One day, he too would become the subject of everyone's envy.

Upon finally escaping the crowd, Sheman let out a long sigh of relief as he reached the door of his dormitory. Fortunately, the Second Level Wizard Apprentice dormitories at the Academy were all individual villas; otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to shake off the enthusiastic crowd so easily.

"Being the Academy's top student isn't easy, is it?" Artier said with a grin.

"Artier, don't make fun of me," Sheman replied, shaking his head with a wry smile. He didn’t even know how he had earned the title of the Academy’s top student.

After teasing him for a bit, Artier turned serious. "What are your plans now that you're back?"

"I'll focus on cultivating for the next few years," Sheman said, clearly having made up his mind. "I accumulated a lot of Contribution Points during this war, enough to last me for a long time. Next, I'm going to concentrate on my cultivation and try to break through and advance as soon as possible."

Artier nodded, not at all surprised; she shared the same plan. "Let's work hard together."

At the top of the Dragon Bone Tower, in the control center, the hall was surrounded by a galaxy of stars, resembling a pure white space floating in the universe.

Su Nan stood beside the Elemental Pool, examining the patterns on the surface of the square pool.

"Speaking of which, it's probably time to expand the Elemental Pool."

"When he first took control of the Dragon Bone Tower, he wasn't a Wizard yet and could only manage repairs on the Elemental Pool.

But things were different now; he had the power to construct the Elemental Pool and could definitely take things a step further.

"I'll start by expanding the Elemental Pool. It's good practice and will prepare me for the construction of the Wizard Tower's Elemental Pool in the future."

The Elemental Pool in the Wizard Tower was much larger in scale than that of the Dragon Bone Tower, and the complexity of its construction was significantly higher.

Su Nan felt it was necessary to accumulate some experience first.

"Once I return from the Lightning Elemental Plane, I'll make it a priority."

Collecting his thoughts, Su Nan took out a gemstone as a medium and mobilized the power of the Elemental Pool to open an Elemental Passage. He then stepped inside.

His vision suddenly brightened, and a sense of weightlessness washed over him.

This strange sensation lasted for several seconds until he felt a firm surface under his feet, as if he were standing on solid ground.

Su Nan abruptly opened his eyes, and what came into view was a desolate wasteland, accompanied by the muffled rumble of thunder in his ears.

"This is the Lightning Elemental Plane?"

Su Nan looked around; the surroundings were barren, devoid of plants and jagged rocks, with only scorched pits scattered everywhere, as if they had been targeted by intense artillery fire.

The scorched earth stretched far into the distance, an endless emptiness.

Looking up at the sky, clouds swirled in the firmament, lightning flickered within the mist, and streaks of purple light danced as if dragons soared among the clouds.

Astonishment filled Su Nan's eyes.

No matter how many times he gazed upon it, the sight was still breathtaking.

No one could fully comprehend how vast the Elemental Plane was, for its boundaries were limitless.

Take the Lightning Elemental Plane, for example. It contained countless independent Lightning Element Spaces.

Each Lightning Element Space exhibited different characteristics.

Some were stretches of scorched earth where lightning constantly crashed down.

Others only featured churning clouds and a sea of lightning.

Some contained spheres of light composed entirely of lightning.

But regardless of their characteristics, one thing all Lightning Element Spaces shared in common was their extreme danger.

It wasn't just the ubiquitous lightning that could strike at any moment; the Spirits of the Elements within the Elemental Plane were even more troublesome."

The Spirits of the Elements are beings entirely composed of elemental energy particles. In essence, they can be viewed as a mass of elemental energy possessing independent consciousness.

Typically, they exist in their respective elemental planes, and only in rare instances — such as when summoned by a caster — do they descend into the material plane or other outer planes.

Different types of Spirits of the Elements exhibit varying personalities. For example, the Wind and Water Elements are often mild-tempered, while the Earth Element tends to be rather docile. In contrast, the Fire Element embodies pure rage. The Lightning Element is somewhat calmer than Fire, but its temperament remains restless and aggressive.

Spirits of the Elements can vary in strength. Weaker Spirits can be easily dispatched by a Second-Level Wizard Apprentice, while stronger Spirits are more than a match for Third-Level Wizard Apprentices. Higher-level Elemental Giants possess enough power to contend with formal wizards. Elemental Giant Elders and Elemental Lords, on the other hand, are far beyond what Su Nan can currently confront. Even the weakest Elemental Lords possess demigod-level strength, while the more powerful ones can challenge gods directly.

The Lightning Elemental Plane is in a state of constant chaos and endless conflict, with named Elemental Lords emerging one after another. Each of these named Elemental Lords is powerful enough to easily crush many weaker gods in battle. Su Nan would certainly not dare to step into the elemental space where these Lords reside.

The Elemental Plane is vast and boundless, and each time an elemental passage opens, it leads to a random elemental space. Fortunately, Su Nan's luck was not entirely unkind; the concentration of energy particles in this elemental space was low, making it unlikely for any Elemental Lords or Giant Spirit Elders to be present. As for Elemental Giants, as long as he doesn't venture too deep into the space, he should avoid encountering any of them.

Returning to his senses, Su Nan activated the Extreme Protection Ring. The recharge rate of the Forbidden Zone was too slow, so unless a battle broke out, he did not intend to use it casually.

With everything in place, Su Nan began walking forward. The Lightning Elemental Demiplane lacked recognizable terrain; everything appeared the same, rendering navigation nearly impossible. Fortunately, he did not need to find his way back; he could simply reactivate the space channel to return.

Rumbling sounds echoed around him!

The deafening booms hardly ceased.

Every ten seconds or so, a bolt of lightning would crash down, striking the ground with a thunderous boom and sending shards of rock flying in all directions.

It was clear that the scorched black pits surrounding him were created by these strikes.

Even to the naked eye, the power of the lightning was palpable.

For anyone below the Legendary Knight level, a direct hit would likely mean instant annihilation.

And this was still an area where the concentration of Lightning Element wasn't as intense; venturing deeper would only amplify its power further.

"Without formal wizard-level strength, coming here is simply courting death."

Su Nan sighed inwardly.

He had only walked a few dozen meters and had already been struck by three bolts of lightning. His Extreme Protection Ring's defense had dropped by several points, causing him to furrow his brow.

Though a dozen defense points didn't seem like much, he had just entered the Lightning Elemental Plane, and if he stayed too long, the Extreme Protection Ring might not suffice.

[T/N: Guys, while I was adjusting the code to capture the chapter terms and create a glossary, I ended up forgetting to make a backup of the old glossary for this novel that was in the database. So, some terms will end up being altered. Also, I think you have already noticed that there are some errors with pronouns and sometimes quotes (") in the wrong places. I apologize for the inconvenience.]
