Chapter 83: Author's Note on Going Premium

Dear esteemed readers, good evening!

As the author, I'm here to report: This book will be going premium on December 1, 2023, at midnight.

The autumn winds of October were like a golden paintbrush, depicting the magnificent Palace of Versailles within the book's pages. In that moment, "I Am the Crown Prince in France" opened a new chapter.

November's frost and snow felt like a long, arduous journey, teaching me perseverance and patience through continuous writing, all while striving to satisfy my esteemed readers.

December's... well, never mind. I'm tired of trying to sound so European.

Let me just speak plainly.

I began conceiving of "I Am the Crown Prince in France" back in June, after reading a book about modern European history. After finishing it, I immediately developed a strong interest in the French Revolution, believing that era of dramatic change and turmoil held many fascinating stories and poignant characters.

Thus, I felt a strong urge to create, hoping to write compelling stories. To do so, I began poring over various historical documents and data. And what an eye-opener that was!

Researching foreign historical materials proved to be incredibly tiresome and troublesome. Many historical documents lack Chinese translations, and the names of numerous historical figures have varying English renditions. I even made a blunder initially, mistaking what I thought were two different people for the same person, only to later realize it was just different transliterations of a single name.

After more than three months of research, once I felt I had gathered a reasonably comprehensive collection of materials, I finally started writing this book. As I began, I realized that certain sections of my previously outlined plot still needed further refinement to truly capture their essence. Although my writing speed is slow, the continuous support from my esteemed readers—through donations, monthly passes, and recommendation tickets—has truly warmed my heart and moved me deeply.

After more than a month of stumbling blocks, we're finally reaching the premium stage, and I'm quite sentimental about it. This is the third book I've managed to get to this point, like my third child. While it certainly has its flaws, I love it dearly. I hope you, the readers, will come to love it too.

Finally, I want to thank my two editors, Brother Ludou and Brother Penglai, who took a chance on me. Initially, I was quite worried this book might be too niche to get approved, but to my surprise, both editors picked me up and provided a lot of help. I sincerely hope the subscription numbers for this book will live up to their faith in me.
