Luo Yao spoke in a deep voice, his expression grim. From his words and his current demeanor, it was clear that he was greatly troubled by this matter and had been paying attention to it for some time.
“How do you intend to handle this matter, Great Emperor? ”

At this point, Luo Yao paused slightly before continuing.
Yang Haoran nodded in agreement. Although Luo Yao hadn’t yet provided a specific plan for dealing with the Demon Hunter Guild, at least Yang Haoran knew what Luo Yao intended to do about it next.
Furthermore, one more thing was very important: he had informed Luo Yao about the conflict in Eight-corners City, and Luo Yao hadn’t blamed him; instead, he told him to stabilize the situation as much as possible. He had reported what needed to be reported and had also received the desired outcome. Yang Haoran therefore had no intention of staying long with Luo Yao and respectfully took his leave.
Luo Yao had many worries, and the matter concerning the Demon Hunter Guild truly weighed heavily on his mind. To resolve this issue as soon as possible, he had to start dealing with it immediately. Thus, he did not try to keep Yang Haoran.
However, just as Yang Haoran was about to depart, Luo Yao suddenly sensed a stir within the Underworld Iron Tome in his independent space. He frowned deeply, retrieved the Underworld Iron Tome, and began reading the information on it in front of Yang Haoran.
Yang Haoran felt a flicker of doubt. He also possessed an Underworld Iron Tome, and it was currently in his independent space, but at that moment, he hadn't sensed any movement from his own.
His confusion lasted only a moment. Yang Haoran immediately understood. This situation indicated that the information was either sent exclusively to Luo Yao, meaning only Luo Yao’s Underworld Iron Tome could sense it, or his rank was insufficient to access this particular information network.
Given his status as a Guardian, the only information network within the entire Underworld Office that he couldn't access would be that of the Five Great Emperors of the Underworld Office.
Although Yang Haoran was somewhat curious, he had no intention of lingering because of it. No matter how important the information Luo Yao received at that moment, he still had to leave, for he was merely a Guardian, not a Great Emperor.
However, just as he turned to leave, Luo Yao called out to him. “Wait, you don’t need to leave just yet. ”
Luo Yao’s voice made Yang Haoran’s departing footsteps halt. He turned back, a puzzled expression on his face, to look at Luo Yao. He saw that Luo Yao's face was even grimmer than before. Before Yang Haoran could ask, Luo Yao began to explain.
“If there’s any major matter that needs to be announced or handled by us, the Five Great Emperors of the Underworld Office, we issue an assembly order through the Underworld Iron Tome. Only the five of us can receive this order; no other Underworld officials can, not even Guardians. The assembly order my Underworld Iron Tome just received was issued by another Great Emperor, specifically the Tongzhou Great Emperor. ”
With Luo Yao's explanation, Yang Haoran immediately understood why Luo Yao’s expression was even grimmer than before. The Tong Continent Underworld Division and their Jingling Continent Underworld Division were currently at odds, and given that the Tongzhou Great Emperor was the one who issued the assembly order, it would be strange if Luo Yao’s expression were any better.
However, there was still one thing Yang Haoran didn't quite understand. If the Tongzhou Great Emperor had issued an assembly order, why would Luo Yao keep him here? What right did he, a mere Guardian, have to participate in such a matter?
“What major event has occurred, that requires the assembly of the Five Great Emperors? ”
With a heart full of curiosity, Yang Haoran cautiously inquired of Luo Yao. The latter, his face still grim, shook his head.
“He didn't state the details, only that we are to assemble in the Underworld within one day, bringing nine Guardians from our respective subordinates. You happen to be in the Underworld, so there's no need for you to leave. ”
Yang Haoran, whose expression had remained largely unchanged until then, showed a slight shift in his demeanor after hearing Luo Yao’s words.
“Does the Tongzhou Great Emperor possess such immense authority? What right does he have to order other Great Emperors around? Will the other Great Emperors follow his arrangements? ”
The confusion in his mind led Yang Haoran to ask three questions in succession. It was certainly true that the Tongzhou Great Emperor held an extremely high position within the Underworld Office. To be precise, all Five Great Emperors of the Underworld Office held extremely high positions within the Underworld Office; no one could compare to them except the Death God. However, their five positions were equal; none stood above another. Naturally, no single Great Emperor had the right to order the others around. Yet, the Tongzhou Great Emperor’s assembly order seemed to be issuing commands to the other four Great Emperors, which was why Yang Haoran felt utterly perplexed.
“Of course, the Tongzhou Great Emperor doesn't have such immense authority. He has no right to order the other four Great Emperors around, and they certainly wouldn't obey his arrangements. However, responding to an assembly order is a rule established by us, the Five Great Emperors of the Underworld Office. Regardless of which Great Emperor issues the assembly order, the other four Great Emperors must respond, because this assembly order isn't something issued casually. Although Luo Yao’s explanation resolved the confusion in Yang Haoran’s mind, it simultaneously filled Yang Haoran's heart with shock.
“Great Emperor, do you mean. . . a major event is about to occur again within our Underworld Office, and this event will have a tremendous impact on our entire Underworld Office? ”
Yang Haoran already had a conclusion in his heart, but he couldn't help but ask Luo Yao, wanting a definitive affirmation from him.
“Although our Jingling Continent Underworld Division is incompatible with the Tong Continent Underworld Division, and I also have deep-seated grievances with the Tongzhou Great Emperor, I know the Tongzhou Great Emperor is no fool. “This Great Emperor Assembly Order is a rule jointly established by us, the Five Great Emperors of the Underworld Office, after the Chaos of the Underworld ended. Everyone must abide by it. I never thought that so soon after the Chaos of the Underworld concluded, this Great Emperor Assembly Order would actually be put to use. I just don't know what kind of matter it is that warrants him issuing a Great Emperor Assembly Order! ”
