Chapter 84: A Culinary Journey

Although a fierce battle was raging in the room, oddly enough, none of the furnishings sustained any damage.

Each item, before it could be ravaged by the residual energy of the trio's clash, was precisely shifted just a fraction of an inch.

However, the combatants, deeply embroiled in their intense struggle, had no time to notice this bizarre phenomenon.

"What in the world is going on?!" Sheng Qi parried an attack, anxiously questioning Hei Long.

Mu Si's assaults grew fiercer with each wave. Normally her combat strength was comparable to theirs, but now she was displaying an overwhelming power, forcing them into a desperate full defense.

"How should I know?! This is insane!"

Bai Mo, lounging on the bed, suddenly found the farce he had been directing for ten minutes rather tedious. What he was doing now was no different from playing with puppets; at most, these were dolls with 100% realistic simulation.

So he decided not to play anymore...

Before Sheng Qi and his companion could even grasp what was happening, they felt the surrounding air suddenly grow incredibly heavy. They were like small insects trapped in resin, no matter how much they struggled, they couldn't escape the transparent coffin that sealed them shut.

After suppressing the other two, Bai Mo returned control of her head to Mu Si, signaling her to explain the whole affair.

"The... the whole thing was Boss's plan. He received a report from an informant today saying that a tourist had hired a professional masseuse for two hundred euros an hour, claiming it was definitely a fat mark. So, he set up this trap..."

Mu Si, unable to move, recounted the entire story with her back to Bai Mo. The most awkward part was that she had to look her accomplices in the eye and reveal all their secrets, one by one, in full detail.

"Mu Si! You just sold out the Boss like that?!" Sheng Qi, only able to speak but not move, was furious at her disloyal behavior.

For those living in the underworld, betraying their boss was clearly an unforgivable sin, but Mu Si, already terrified, no longer had any thoughts of concealment.

She never wanted to experience the state of a living corpse again, where her five senses remained, but her body was beyond her control.

After explaining everything, Mu Si put on a pitiful expression, quietly awaiting the man behind her to decide her fate.

However, this pitiable act was destined to be performed for a blind man; Bai Mo didn't even lift his head.

"Lead the way."

"Yes!" Mu Si agreed without a second thought. Since she had already betrayed them, she might as well do it thoroughly.

"Mmph!" Just as the two were about to curse, they found their mouths sealed.

"You... how do you plan to deal with them?" Mu Si asked in a low voice.

Compared to taking them along, she actually preferred that these two, who knew she had betrayed the organization, disappear forever, starting now.

"Take them with us," Bai Mo said nonchalantly, discussing their lives and deaths as if he were talking about killing two chickens rather than two people.

The two men's eyes widened at Bai Mo's words.

"Then... let's take them."

Sheng Qi and Hei Long both breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing Mu Si's words. They had just been fearing the possibility of being silenced.

Bai Mo controlled Sheng Qi and Hei Long's leg muscles, fixing their upper bodies in place, making them follow him in a strange posture. Mu Si was even more horrified at this sight.

"That devil!" she thought to herself.

After the quartet exited the hotel, Mu Si began to lead the way, Bai Mo walked in the middle, while Sheng Qi and Hei Long behind him looked as if they were moonwalking, their legs swinging ceaselessly, pretending to still be walking.

But upon closer inspection, they were actually being levitated off the ground by psychic power, advancing purely through its propulsion.

As he followed Mu Si through various alleys, he simultaneously scanned the large-scale surroundings with his divine sense.

The trio journeyed on, and after traversing a good twelve or thirteen alleys, Mu Si led Bai Mo to a brightly lit building.

"We're here," she said, trembling.

Bai Mo made no comment, merely frowning slightly. From over a hundred meters away, he had already detected more than fifty Ability Users concentrated within the building ahead, along with numerous armed henchmen.

"Truly, truly, I didn't inform them!" Mu Si, seeing the change in Bai Mo's expression, immediately explained herself with a look of terror.

She definitely didn't want to personally experience what it felt like to choke herself to death with her own hands. Mu Si felt that the man behind her seemed mentally abnormal; the way he looked at people was nothing like an ordinary person, more like... a toy?

Bai Mo paid no heed to the other heavily guarded individuals inside the church-like building ahead. Instead, his entire focus was on the person seated in the center.

The armed guards outside the door initially pointed their guns warily at Bai Mo, who walked unhurriedly, and at the three figures behind him, whose movements were so stiff they hardly resembled living people.

The guards, who had fought on the front lines for years, possessed an exceptionally keen intuition.

Under a powerful, invisible pressure, their biological instincts forced them to lower their guns and bow their heads, standing along both sides of the red carpet at the entrance as if forming a welcoming line. The scene fell silent.

Everyone inside the building stared blankly at this bizarre scene. They had seen people come to challenge a martial arts school, but never someone who arrived radiating such an aura of dominance.

"My instincts tell me you should be my food." Bai Mo, without any preamble, directly addressed his target, lightly licking his lips.

There was no hint of provocation in his eyes, only a pure, unadulterated desire to devour, which sent shivers down everyone else's spines.

The swiftness of the turn of events left everyone dumbfounded.

They had expected a vengeance-fueled battle between hostile Ability Users, but it had suddenly transformed into a gourmet tour?

"..." The pale-faced young man in the center felt himself stunned by the sudden appearance of this lunatic and his bizarre thought process.

"Sir, are you perhaps mistaken about something?" The young man quickly recovered, glaring at his opponent with venomous eyes, his hand gestures signaling a readiness to act.

All along, he had been the one who viewed others as food; now, the tables had suddenly turned, and he was being viewed as food!

Bai Mo hadn't lied. From the very first moment he saw the young man, his mind had been flooded with thoughts of "eat him," "eat him," a sensation akin to a ravenously hungry person seeing a roasted chicken right before their eyes.

This feeling was so exceptionally strong that he completely forgot his original purpose for coming, instinctively voicing his innermost thoughts.

Of course, the difference between humans and beasts lies in humanity's ability to restrain desire. Although his body continually yearned to devour the other party, Bai Mo did not immediately act on it. Before understanding exactly what was happening, he certainly wouldn't put human flesh into his mouth.

"Thwack!" He paid no attention to the young man's words, nor did he care about the gazes of those around him or the already-cocked handguns. With explosive speed, he flew directly in front of the young man, striking his head with an open-palm strike, shattering it into pieces.
