Chapter 750: Pastoral Idyll

At the same moment, a colossal phantom began to slowly emerge behind Ramdo.

The phantom appeared from the direction of Executing Star's artificial light source.

An endless shadow, stretching beyond sight, almost cast a new layer of night over Executing Star, which was already largely covered by the World Tree formed by the Green Wizard King.

It seemed to be a mass so immense it measured a third of Executing Star's size.

Yet, unlike an ordinary planet, it wasn't spherical or elliptical.

From Ying Huo's macroscopic perspective, it was a colossal floating divine temple in mid-air.

The temple's form was also quite unusual; it wasn't a traditional architectural structure, but rather a divine statue magnified a billionfold.

The statue's face was obscured by darkness, its features indistinguishable, while a faintly dazzling colossal halo hovered behind its head.

This divine statue had no feet, or more precisely, no hands either, possessing only a head and a triangular cone-like torso below it.

It was simply too colossal.

The fleet carrier, which contained Executing Star, groaned under the strain as the divine statue gradually materialized and its gravitational pull began to disrupt the surrounding environment.

After all, it was an ultimate creation the size of a small asteroid.

The Federation soldiers, originally beneath the World Tree, had felt an all-conquering confidence upon witnessing their own World Tree's might. However, upon seeing the equally sky-obscuring divine statue, their morale instantly plummeted.

This was humanity's most primal fear of excessively enormous entities.

A behemoth so vast that no matter how one craned their neck, even twisting it out of joint, its edges remained out of sight.

One didn't even need to know its strength; its sheer size alone, its mass, would unleash astonishing destructive power.

"Crown Oracle Titan," the Grand Marshal, possessing most of Ramdo's intel, calmly uttered the full name of the divine statue before them.

This was Ramdo's mobile divine kingdom, and only he knew how many clones, sub-human believers, and Holy Spirits resided within.

He was the first cultivator to introduce clones into the Divine Path.

Billions of clones, from birth, received prayer education within the divine kingdom, serving as Faith Power batteries in life, and transforming into different Holy Spirits after death, depending on their devotion.

Their daily routine was to wake up, eat breakfast, and then thank God for the breakfast provided.

Eat lunch, then thank God for the lunch provided.

Eat dinner, then thank God for the dinner provided.

Sleep, and before sleeping, thank God for a wonderful day.

Day after day.

The divine kingdom maintained a pastoral medieval landscape; there were no phones, no internet, no factories. The clones toiled from dawn till dusk, though even the sun itself was an illusion.

There were no cities, only isolated villages centered around churches. Clones living in these villages might never leave them throughout their entire lives.

Clones had no reproductive capability; only when an elder died would new infants be sent from the "Heavenly Realm" to the church, thus eliminating any worry about population explosions or food shortages in the villages.

Moreover, in this idyllic world, even sunlight and weather were controlled by God, so there was no need to worry about harvests; simply thanking divine grace was enough.

"Initiate Phase Transfer System. Move the World Tree, along with Executing Star, into space."

A grand-class fleet carrier capable of housing an entire asteroid was no common sight; even the affluent Federation couldn't afford to watch such a vessel be forcibly crushed by the Titan.

The colossal Titan warship, which abruptly appeared inside Executing Star's fleet carrier, was like a five-and-a-half-foot adult attempting to squeeze into a mouse hole, causing the fleet carrier's internal spatial structure to become precarious.

"Emergency! Attention everyone, the Cloud Whale fleet carrier will release Executing Star and its surrounding space in ten seconds. Please immediately switch your power armor to space mode.

Repeat! Executing Star is about to be released into a true space environment. Please prepare for potential zero gravity!"

"..."

"What the hell?!" Mira looked utterly bewildered after hearing the announcement.

She watched as every soldier around her donned power armor capable of free movement in space; even the elves traversing the World Tree began to grow strange devices within their bodies.

Only she and her companion stood there, staring blankly at each other.

"Don't worry about me. Zero gravity and vacuum environments don't significantly affect wind elves," Sella said, shrugging beside her.

So, only Mira remained.

She lowered her gaze to the pendant.

A few seconds later, zero gravity arrived as expected, but it lasted only an instant; a vacuum didn't even occur.

If Mira's brain hadn't been so certain that zero gravity had indeed happened for a moment, she might not have even realized she was now in space.

With a questioning look in her eyes, she attempted to seek answers from the Warden in her pendant.

"The World Tree maintained Executing Star's gravity, and also its atmosphere."

"Is this really still human?" The Warden's words left her momentarily speechless. "Maintaining an entire planet's gravity single-handedly..."

However, Mira felt a sense of relief after recalling her experiences on the Moon decades ago.

Back then, there were entities capable of standing tall between heaven and earth, forcibly prying open Mars and the Moon. Today, it seemed unsurprising that an Immortal-tier World Tree could prevent a planet's gravity from collapsing.

"I worried for nothing."

The two colossal entities faced each other.

As if by agreement, as hundreds of thousands of space wood elves in power armor flew out from the tree, countless low-tier acolyte ships also surged forth from the divine kingdom.

The acolyte ships, roughly two people in size and strongly resembling butterflies in appearance, quickly engaged the elven army clad in power armor in space.

As for the other four True Immortals, they merely stood quietly to the side, observing the battle, with no intention of making a move.

"Is this... the Federation's true war?" Sella, the wind elf, felt a complex swirl of emotions as she watched the casualties mount by the minute in the sky.

Her previous self had been a Federation military logistics caregiver, who was unfortunately severely wounded in a war against aliens and forced to retire. Compared to the direct combat of millions of space soldiers she witnessed today, fighting Mars or Venus before was akin to bullying children.

Millions of "mosquitoes" flying at supersonic speeds in space, slaughtering each other in the most brutal manner.

Artillery fire, lasers, plasma, and spirit energy churned into a chaotic mess; besides pandemonium, extreme pandemonium, there were hardly any other words to describe it.

"This is merely a probing attack." The cold words from the voice in the pendant shattered the wind elf's illusions.

PS: Recommending two books, "Player's Madness," a brain-bending novel with a protagonist who's a madman. The other is "Star River Warlock"; at first glance, I thought it was a fanfiction of "Warlock of the Magus World," but it isn't.
