Chapter 734: Creation

The Main God Temple was incomplete.

Not long after he acquired it, Bai Mo discovered this fact.

What's more, this incompleteness might have been intentional; someone had purposefully separated the Main God into two parts.

"A-a-a-a-gh!"

As the Rubik's Cube in Bai Mo's hand resonated with a hidden fragment of the Main God Temple concealed within Wu Ren Xing's body, an intense wave of pain surged through his brain like a tide.

No longer able to care about the two prominent figures before him, Wu Ren Xing clutched his head in agony, his veins bulging all over his body, cold sweat pouring down, letting out exceptionally miserable screams.

The soul-deep pain instantly shattered his will, making him completely abandon the last vestiges of his feigned composure.

The Rubik's Cube emitted a mysterious green light, and Wu Ren Xing's head glowed with the same radiance. The two intertwined, and for a moment, the atmosphere turned eerily strange.

"The Main God isn't completely dead."

Xu Xuan Ling and Bai Mo exchanged glances, instantly arriving at the same conclusion.

Because in their perception, a powerful yet exceptionally chaotic will seemed to be rapidly reawakening.

A surge of immense power generated from the resonance. Empowered by this force, the Rubik's Cube began to struggle, attempting to break free from Bai Mo's control.

The white light from his hand and the green light from the Rubik's Cube vigorously neutralized each other every moment, but it seemed they could continue to contend for a good while longer.

Countless green runes emerged on Wu Ren Xing's body. However, these runes, rather than being his own, seemed more like seals forcibly imposed upon him.

Chain-like runes wrapped around his body, coil after coil. Even as his veins bulged, his eyes were bloodshot, and he struggled until blood seeped from his seven orifices, he couldn't loosen them a single bit.

Continuous, meaningless growls, like those of a wild beast, emanated from him, causing the surrounding space to ripple slightly.

While Xu Xuan Ling was not greatly affected, she busied herself protecting the other Reincarnators who were still in slumber. After all, they were now half her subordinates.

As for whether they would be willing to pledge allegiance to her after waking, that would no longer be up to them.

She believed that as long as their minds were still sound, they wouldn't refuse the recruitment of a True Immortal like herself.

...

Bai Mo still gripped the main body of the Rubik's Cube tightly. No matter how violently it struggled, it couldn't truly escape even a single step, like a fish desperately thrashing in a fisherman's grasp.

His overwhelming divine sense began to forcefully infiltrate the strange Rubik's Cube, analyzing its every aspect from the subatomic level...

"This is a cage."

After a moment, Bai Mo stated his conclusion.

"A seal targeting that beast?"

That was also one of Xu Xuan Ling's conjectures.

"Exactly. Only, this is an 'eight-stage beast.'"

"..."

"Eight-stage...?"

Those two words—eight-stage—carried immense weight. One had to understand that currently, the entire Federation had fewer than ten seven-stage Immortals, each a pillar of strength. The only eight-stage entity was Bai Mo himself, who operated outside the Federation's direct control.

And now, the Main God he'd simply picked up in passing actually imprisoned an eight-stage monster. Didn't that imply that whoever had imprisoned this fellow could effortlessly wipe out the entire Federation?

"It wasn't imprisoned by a higher-level entity." Bai Mo said, as if possessing mind-reading abilities, following Xu Xuan Ling's thoughts.

"This cage is largely self-constructed. The small remaining portion consists of traces left by beings below the Immortal stage."

As he spoke, his placid tone, usually as cold as ancient profound ice, rarely showed a ripple of fluctuation.

"Strictly speaking, it's committing suicide."

"Suicide?"

"You know about Daoization, right?" Bai Mo suddenly asked.

"Of course. It's what I read in your scrolls. Every Immortal must constantly resist the cosmic erosion phenomenon using their True Spirit Barrier, and on the day they can no longer hold on, they will 'disintegrate' and merge back into a part of this world. This process is called Daoization." She recited Bai Mo's definition from the scrolls as if by rote.

"This creature, which uses the 'Main God' as a cage, has reached a point where its Daoization is almost completely out of control. For certain reasons, it chose to self-seal."

"But why was this seal made to look like this?"

"A seal isn't a perpetual motion machine, so it chose to maintain the seal's strength through blood sacrifice of resentful souls."

"It continuously introduces new Reincarnators, allowing them to die one by one in extremely cruel environments, filled with intense emotions... to sustain the seal indefinitely."

"A brilliant concept." Xu Xuan Ling clearly didn't give much thought to the lives of ordinary people; she regarded the blood sacrifice seal with only curiosity and admiration, not finding a single thing amiss with it.

"This Main God is still quite different from 'Xierdesi.'"

"You mean the Ark?"

To the Federation's high-ranking officials, the existence of the Ark Xierdesi has always been an open secret. Although its inhabitants have all transformed into soul entities, they still consider themselves human at heart, a part of the Federation.

"Indeed, the Ark that calls itself the 'Main God Temple.'"

"I also wonder how they managed to give birth to two Ghost Immortals with only tens of thousands of people."

"According to my intelligence, Xierdesi currently rules over four worlds suitable for human habitation, including the Manghuang Realm, with a total population exceeding two billion.

While their inner sanctum indeed has fewer than forty thousand members, they are, after all, elites chosen from billions of people."

"..." Xu Xuan Ling had only known that her family in the Manghuang Realm had a partnership with the Ark to jointly rule the entire world, but she never imagined the other party had so many hidden trump cards beyond the Manghuang Realm.

What was even more shocking was that Bai Mo had actually planted a mole within the Ark...

"So this 'Wu Ren Xing' individual, is he its true body? Wu Ren Xing, devoid of humanity, Daoization – the name perfectly aligns." Seeing the conversation about to stray, she redirected it back to the 'Main God' before them.

"He is its primary consciousness. After sealing his memories, he continuously reincarnated across the various worlds under the Main God Temple. In this life, he happened to be reborn as the character Wu Ren Xing."

"So the so-called controller of the Main God Temple was merely a tool, a pawn, manipulated from beginning to end? Purely a patsy tricked into maintaining the seal?"

"During their period of control, the controller's power is undeniably real, although all the power, inheritances, and treasures within the Main God Temple originate from the eight-stage entity that is sealed within." Bai Mo stated.

"It can even conjure heavenly materials and earthly treasures like dragon liver and phoenix marrow, ten-thousand-year spirit milk, and innate vermilion fruit?"

"Do you want some?"

Bai Mo's brow subtly furrowed. A flash of white light, and then Spirit Stone hailstones began to rain down from the sky. Along with them fell dozens of high, mid, and low-grade spirit herbs of various forms.

"Seven-stage cultivators possess the power of exploration and destruction, while eight-stage cultivators command creation and genesis. These Spirit Stones and spirit herbs were generated by me consuming ten thousand times the spirit energy they inherently contain."

"As long as one is willing to expend the energy, we can create anything."
