Chapter 610: Revenge
The Path of Transformation, spreading outwards from the Four-Armed Centaur race, quickly disseminated through the mutual exchanges among Mars's upper-echelon powerhouses.
Many shrewd Martians saw through the spirit-breaking plot, yet they felt utterly helpless against the Moon people's transparent stratagem.
The other side intended to leverage their overwhelming civilizational advantage to assimilate and annex the various tribes on Mars. The ideology of "the strong are revered" was deeply ingrained in these tribes, and now, those revered were none other than the Moon people, who commanded military might.
The native lifeforms, whose civilization and culture were in an absolute state of inferiority, would sooner or later be completely brainwashed into human-worshipping dogs.
...
Inside a simple rented room, Liu Wu, having returned to the Moon, spent several consecutive days staking out his target building. After thoroughly mapping out its perimeter, he finalized the plan in his mind.
Today was the time for revenge.
"Whatever power it takes, as long as it helps me get my revenge." Before setting out, he swallowed whole the purple crystal he had obtained from Ying Huo, following its instructions and employing certain special methods.
The target of his vengeance had a background that was simply too powerful; no one within the Federation would be willing to offend them for the sake of an insignificant ant like himself.
For revenge, he finally resorted to cooperating with the Martians, defecting to them in exchange for power.
Even if he were to be branded a "traitor to the Moon" many years from now, he wouldn't hesitate; what's more, it was questionable how much of humanity would even remain after this.
Since the wretched planet he once lived on couldn't grant him justice, he would choose an alien world that could!
...
Power!
Power!
Infinite power surged forth from the Heart of Ying Huo, which he had swallowed. He felt as though he had ingested a functioning nuclear reactor!
Surging, torrential power originated from near his heart, beginning to course through all his limbs and bones, strengthening every part it passed. When it reached the severed ends of his feet, an intensely uncomfortable tingling sensation flooded back to his brain.
The granulation tissue at his wounds, stimulated by the power of the Heart of Ying Huo, unreasonably regenerated two pristine and translucent feet in less than five minutes.
"This..."
The power of limb regeneration utterly stunned Liu Wu. Staring at this power, almost a divine miracle, he was at a loss for words.
...
"But... why do these feet look a bit like a woman's?"
When the exceptionally nauseating tingling sensation largely faded, Liu Wu carefully examined his new feet, only to discover something that left him not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
To escape Mars, he had chopped off his own feet, which were shackled with tracking cuffs, leaving only half his thighs.
Now, the newly grown, feminized lower legs, attached below his muscular half-thighs, looked somewhat incongruous.
Nevertheless, Liu Wu didn't complain, for he had long ago resolved to abandon everything for revenge.
For a ruthless man who dared to personally sever his own legs, the appearance of two feminine lower legs was even less of an issue now.
...
"The world through a Six-Tier's eyes..." After slowly adapting to the explosive surge of power within his body, Liu Wu once again confirmed the state of the Heart of Ying Huo.
According to the Spirit of Nature, the power contained within the Heart of Ying Huo was sufficient to sustain him at the peak combat strength of a Six-Tier for an hour of high-intensity output.
"Truly intoxicating power."
There was no harm without comparison. Feeling the volcano within him, ready to erupt at any moment, Liu Wu felt that his former self had been as weak as a speck of dust that could be casually brushed away.
...
"Five."
"Four."
"Three."
"Two."
"One."
Liu Wu, concealed within the air, took a deep breath, then began a countdown for himself.
In five seconds, he was going to make headlines that could make him infamous for ten thousand years.
...
"Please show your pass." Two armed guards blocked Liu Wu, who had deliberately revealed himself.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
"Duang!"
Two sharp explosions, accompanied by the sound of metal hitting the ground, and the guards originally standing at the gate instantly dissolved into two clouds of blood mist. The guns in their hands transformed into wads of scrap metal.
"My apologies, I just wanted to move you aside a little, so you wouldn't block the doorway." Liu Wu, completely enveloped in a black cloak, looked at the location of the blood mist with a hint of apology.
He had truly only intended to shift the two men away, with no thought of killing them.
But alas, the power within his body was simply too immense, and Liu Wu's control over it was severely limited. It truly wasn't easy to touch an ant with his finger without crushing it to death.
"Woooooo..."
A few seconds after the gate guards turned into blood mist, ear-splitting alarm bells blared throughout the entire building.
...
"Who would cause trouble in a place like this? It's not like it's a vault." The chief of security, roused from his sleep, was rather dismissive after hearing his subordinates' report.
He had originally been ostracized by his colleagues, which was why he was transferred here to be the security chief, forced to enviously watch the frontline officers rack up military merits by beheading Martians.
"Mr. Collins, please mind your words. This is, after all, a military facility with Federal S-class security—the Wanxiang Gravitational Device Control Tower."
"First floor has fallen!"
"Second floor has fallen as well!"
"All armed robots on the third floor annihilated!"
"The enemy seems to know the location of the main control operating system and is advancing at full speed toward the relevant floors!"
...
Reports that felt like a slap in the face continuously streamed from the command center's intercom.
"Ten seconds to breach one floor's defenses... I'm afraid only the trump card left by 'that one' will suffice."
Witnessing Liu Wu's heroic performance—an average of eight seconds to eliminate the enemies on one floor, with the remaining two seconds spent punching through the ceiling—Collins, watching from behind the monitors, turned green in the face.
Every one of Liu Wu's punches felt like it was landing directly on his own face.
"I—am—here." The man, who was wantonly destroying everything, approached a surveillance camera that had miraculously survived being smashed by him, and enunciated each word.
Immediately after, darkness enveloped the entire screen.
...
"The projection of that Six-Tier being will take at least another two minutes to arrive. The main control center is on the fifteenth floor, which means I have less than thirty seconds to seize control.
Thankfully, I have its power." Liu Wu's hand shimmered with purple light.
For the smooth progress of this collaboration, he had revealed almost everything he knew about the human world to Ying Huo, giving it a comprehensive understanding of the Moon. In a sense, he was a thorough and complete betrayer of his world.
