Beethoven Reborn - Episode 24

Beethoven Reborn Episode 024

7. 5Sal, great leap(6)

next day.

I was spending time in the recording studio again today..

“Anyway, now is the time to contact me..”

I was curious and was pressing various keys on the synthesizer when Himura started chanting in Japanese..

“What kind of communication??”

I asked without thinking.

“iced coffee. You went to America last time. I think the recording is finished. … … Dobin.”

“yes?”

“you you. how to speak japanese.”

Himura opened his eyes as wide as fish eyes and stuttered..

Now, no matter what song I make or what kind of performance I play, it's not cool to be surprised, but seeing it like that makes me feel a little satisfied..

“I've heard it so much, but there's no way I can't understand it. I'm not good at speaking yet.”

Himura's eyes are wide open, but he doesn't seem to have any intention of closing his mouth..

I want to hang out a little more, but.

When I heard that my performance could be converted into sheet music, I was fascinated by the surprise and started playing Sonata No. 13 in E flat major for the first time in a long time..

it's one of my favorite songs.

27-2I personally don't like it because it makes me sentimental, but.

Anyway, after I finished playing, I was looking at the monitor to make sure the score was created properly, and Himura spoke to me..

“Dobin.”

“why?”

“……Are you a genius??”

“ that's right.”

A story that isn't much of a poem.

Although Himura seems capable, he sometimes says nonsense like this..

by the way.

“••••••mister.”

“Uh, uh. huh. why?”

“where is my sheet music?”

“Sheet Music?”

“here. I need to be here?”

No matter how hard I search, I can't find the score for the E-flat major song I just played..

As I put a lot of effort into playing it, I was curious about how the score was made, but I couldn't find it..

“Oh, you have to press this and play it..”

“Look. Click this button with your mouse.”

Ding _

Himura stopped talking and pressed the keys on my mini piano that I brought here from home..

Musical notes appear on the screen.

I had no choice but to droop down in despair..

“look. It's amazing?”

“……Uncle Himura.”

“why?”

“I really hate it.”

“uh? me? suddenly?”

Rurrrrrr-

Rurrrrrr-

At that time, Himura's phone rang..

Although Himura was embarrassed, he checked his phone and quickly answered it. It seemed like something good happened..

“Yes, this is Himura Shou. yes. yes. Oh, thank you. yes. Please, please. yes. thank you.”

I don't know how many times he said 'Hi (yes)', but when I saw him repeating 'thank you', I wondered if the recording had been completed..

As expected, Himura hung up the phone and spoke to me in great joy, unlike his confused appearance just now..

“Dobin, the recording of Greatest Hope is finished. I'll send you the file so you can listen to it soon..”

“really?”

“okay! Let's take a listen.”

It's my orchestral piece played by the Los Angeles Philharmonic..

I really have high expectations..

After seeing and hearing it in person, I can see that they must have played as well as you did, just as I intended..

“Oh, and they said it would be inserted into the movie right away. wait. How long is left until the screening date??”

Himura, who was looking for something on his phone, opened his mouth again..

“11Mon 19th. In Korea, it's December 15th. There's only one month left.”

Is it because of Himura being excited?.

I started to get a little excited too..

1215th of the month.

Winter comes again.

I held my mother and father's hands and went to a movie theater..

“big.”

The movie theater in a place called Yongsan was a huge building..

It was uncomfortable because there were so many people, but it was also amazing..

First outing in Korea.

My mother and father seemed to be taking the time out of their hard work, but when I asked with concern, they smiled and caressed my cheek..

The feature film ‘Relics of Death’ was already released in the US a month ago..

Nakamura said that the movie was doing really well at the box office, but he had no intention of taking a 10-hour plane ride to the United States to see it again..

I have been waiting for the past month, playing the violin that Himura bought me..

Thanks to this, I was able to become quite familiar with the violin with this body, and I fell in love with the technique of writing sheet music through recording and created two solo violin pieces..

The song they created will be included in Extone's first full-length album, and Himura and Ryoichi Sakamoto liked it enough to give it a separate gift..

“It's dark.”

“right? You have to watch your step. I can't see the light?”

“yes.”

When I entered the theater, I saw a huge room with sofas crammed into it. And then an incredibly large screen came in..

Since most of the movies I saw were in Ryoichi Sakamoto's room, I was secretly amazed by this amazing environment..

“When does the movie start?”

“30It starts in a minute, so you'll just have to wait a bit. Dobin, should you stop drinking cola? You'll want to go to the bathroom later.”

“I'll have a little drink.”

“If Dobin doesn't listen to his mom, this will all rot.?”

This is going to fall out anyway, but I guess my mom really doesn't want to give me soda..

After being reborn, I regret giving up this drink, which is one of the things that surprised me the most, other than music..

However, when I calmly gave it to my mother, she accepted it with a smile..

I'll have to ask my father to buy it for me later..

Then, the dark inside of the theater suddenly became even darker..

I was surprised and looked at my mother and father in turn, and my father said with a very expectant expression..

“Let’s start, Dobin..”

“ ah.”

It looks like it gets dark like this when it starts. I'm a little excited.

“Wow, awesome. The tension wasn't great?”

“that's right. There are times when you are chased. I don't know why, but it's so, how can I say it? I have to say it makes my heart pound.?”

“very awesome. Whenever that music comes on and the thumping sound comes on, my heart starts pounding..”

“That's right. Is it because of the music? okay. I think so..”

After being immersed in a story for over two hours, it leaves a long lasting impression..

I was in a daze for a while, just moving my legs as my father guided me, and even after I came out to the lobby, I pondered the story and was absorbed in my thoughts..

“Honey, did you hear? What the students say when we leave?”

“I heard. Dobin, you created the music that played when the main character was running away.?”

I suddenly came to my senses at my father’s question..

My mother and father laughed once and then asked me a question I hadn't heard properly..

“yes. that's right.”

He then relayed a brief remark made by someone else about my music..

“I think the sisters who watched the movie liked listening to Dobin’s music. Our Dobin is really great..”

When I heard that, I started laughing without realizing it..

happy.

People who make music basically move to express themselves..

However, whether it can impress others is a slightly different story..

Even when I make just one piece of music, I think about how to make the listener feel beautiful and how to shake their heart..

and worry.

Even though I have confidence and assurance that my music is perfect, is there anyone who understands and feels my perfect music?.

I believe that everyone has the most primal emotions, so I make music that is as honest to myself as possible..

As far as that worry goes.

And it will be repeated in the future.

Living with that in mind, I couldn't help but be happy about what my father said just now..

“Mom was great too. It was so fun to think that this was a movie that our Dobin participated in..”

My mother hugged me tightly.

I couldn't be happier.

Yesterday was a warm day, very different from the winter of the first six years..

“haha… … . This is so unbelievable..”

1214th of the month.

Ryoichi Sakamoto received an email from David Baron, one of the creators of 'Relics of Death', at his home in Japan.

I checked and shook my head..

But his face was full of smiles.

Recipient: Ryoichi Sakamoto

Title: To the Japanese Master

detail:

It's already been more than two months since we met in the United States. We've been busy putting the finishing touches on the movie, and we've been just as busy after its release..

‘'Relics of Death: Part 1' may not have been as successful as expected, but it did make enough sense..

We would like to thank Ryoichi Sakamoto for his advice on music and sound effects..

In particular, 'Drain' was a great song that was used throughout the movie and added depth to the movie..

Accordingly, we organized a celebration to thank those who participated in ‘Relics of Death: Part 1’..

Please refer to the date and location separately enclosed, and please join us. thank you.

P.s. Alex Desplo, the music director, would also like your presence..

P.s. We will send you a link to a column article related to ‘die meiste Hoffening (The Greatest Hope)’ by Dobin Bae, the musician you recommended. Although this is not something the production company is happy with, I sympathize with Dobin Bae's music, so please read it. Thanks for recommending him.

Ryoichi Sakamoto clicked on the link left by David Baron without even looking at the invitation at the end of the email..

‘A reporter's column article came to mind under the large text at the top that said 'US ENTERTAINMENT'..

The sound that saved a masterpiece from a crisis

In the middle of last month, I visited the movie theater to watch ‘Relics of Death: Part 1,’ which will mark the finale of the historic masterpiece..

I watched the movie with high expectations because it was the last work of 2010 that had the potential to surpass Kim Unkrich's 'Toy Man Who 3'..

However, 'Relics of Death: Part 1' fell far short of my expectations..

Disconnected episodes and ineffective story direction made me worry about 'Relics of Death: Part 2', which was the great reason for this series..

However, even though the direction was not as good as the music inserted in the middle of the movie, it created tension and at times it made my heart cry..

In particular, the music used in the scene where Genie Wiz and his colleagues disperse and run away and when Genie attacks the boring woman at the Ministry of Magic and runs away did an excellent job of creating a sense of immersion in the movie..

‘'die meiste Hoffnung' is German for the greatest hope, and I absolutely believe that this new German musician should join the next 'Relics of Death: Part 2'..
