Chapter 218-4: Three Disasters Converge, the Ultimate Showdown (4)

At this moment, a consciousness quietly descended upon the Emperor’s Mound Mountain Range region.

The newcomer was the Lord of Ecstasy, here to investigate the region.

Just a short while ago, a potential small squad of Ecstasy players sent to the Emperor’s Mound Mountain Range had been wiped out.

Realizing the intelligence was wrong, he chose to descend at this time.

But when he saw the terrifying war scene of the Emperor’s Mound Mountain Range, the Lord of Ecstasy sitting on the teleportation array instantly went slack-faced.

“My lord, what is it?”

Sensing the Lord of Ecstasy’s intense emotional fluctuations, the nearby Darktongue asked curiously.

“Immortals are fighting.”

The Lord of Ecstasy knew all three forces.

Two of them were peak level forces in his eyes, destined to step onto the world stage and the two greatest mountains he would find hardest to cross in the future.

But what was going on with this player race?

Although the participating Battle Swarm and terrifying Black Tide were not very strong, merely a single drop in the vast war legions of the two forces,

they were still the Battle Swarm and the terrifying Black Tide.

What qualifications did the player race have!

Yet after initial observation, the Lord of Ecstasy’s expression became quite marvelous.

He found that both the terrifying Black Tide’s Evil Spirit commander and the Battle Swarm’s hive mind seemed to regard the player race as a force capable of rivaling themselves, responding to every action the player race took in the confrontation.

What shocked him most was that the performance of the participating members of the player race completely subverted his understanding.

His earliest impression of the player race came from a palace node, where players who accidentally broke in carried out endless destruction of the palace, causing him to choose to shut that space node.

But most of his understanding came from the Rimewinter Snowfield region.

The player race and his experimental legion pecked at each other like rookies, so bad it was outrageous, yet in the Emperor’s Mound Mountain Range they displayed a war pressure he had never seen.

In controlling the rhythm of war, they were by no means inferior to the Evil Spirit warriors with super auxiliaries, nor to the Swarm hive mind with a spiritual network command system.

The more he watched, the more shocked the Lord of Ecstasy became, completely dumbfounded.

This was simply not the player race he knew, it was absurdly fierce.

If this group of the player race were sent to the Rimewinter Snowfield region, the counterfeit Ecstasy Purple Tide and Ecstasy Swarm would not even qualify to oppose them and would be annihilated in a short time.

After all, what they were up against were the two genuine great calamities.

This made him realize that the player race was far from as simple as he had imagined.

Thinking carefully, it was indeed so.

A race with a fearless-of-death trait would not be weak. Otherwise, it would have long since gone extinct.

“My lord, what on earth is happening?” Darktongue asked again.

“Quiet.”

At this time, in the three-way melee in the Emperor’s Mound Mountain Range, the tempo of war was accelerating.

Swarm screeches, player shouts, Black Tide roars.

This was the starter village of the Emperor’s Mound Mountain Range.

In the eyes of the players, it was the battlefield with the highest combat strength in the current scene.

Many newbie players, participating in the legendary starter village campaign for the first time, were stunned, and the epic war scene made their blood boil, planting in their hearts the seed of traveling to the starter village battlefield in the future.

Amid the roar, all three sides displayed extreme pressure.

The main battle line’s center was the area where the three sides clashed most fiercely.

Tank players and melee players turned into an advancing iron torrent, striding forward. Every muscle on their bodies tightened under armed encasement, bulging with surging power.

A burly warrior gripped a golden battle axe with both hands and leaped high. His muscles tensed instantly like a powerful bow drawn to the limit.

The battle axe, wrapped in golden airflow and a howling wind, cleaved down at a charging Swarm warrior with the force of Mount Tai.

The Swarm warrior’s body was covered in hard carapace, like a moving armored vehicle, fearlessly swinging thick forelimbs to meet it.

At the instant when axe and limb collided, dazzling sparks burst forth. The tremendous impact sent both flying at the same time.

Veins bulged on the melee player’s muscles. The Swarm warrior let out a dull screech, and deep cracks were stamped into the ground under its feet.

The two figures then collided again, launching an ultimate clash of strength.

On the Black Tide side, a five-meter-tall natural-catastrophe series unit and a player in activated Gargoyle form traded heavy, flesh-on-flesh blows.

The Gargoyle-form player continually absorbed power, and the progress bar for the Accumulation trait of his Inherited soul rose rapidly.

When the accumulated power reached the limit he could bear, the Gargoyle form player opened his mouth in a roar and slammed into the natural-catastrophe unit. The power absorbed by the Accumulation trait erupted instantly, blasting it more than ten meters back and plowing a gouge in the ground.

On the Swarm and Black Tide side, the Swarm warrior Tiger Steelfang engaged the Black Tide doomsday series unit Swordtooth Fiend.

The two tangled together, claws and sword-teeth tearing between flesh and carapace.

Tiger Steelfang’s claws sank deep into the Swordtooth Fiend’s bone armor, while the Swordtooth Fiend’s sword teeth pierced Tiger Steelfang’s carapace, reaching deep into its flesh. Green blood and black body fluid flowed together.

A flowing radiance blossomed on the surface of the sword-tooth weapon, beginning to devour Tiger Steelfang’s flesh.

Tiger Steelfang rapidly collected the pheromones of the Swordtooth Fiend’s flesh devouring, and the rear hive mind began adaptive modifications for subsequent units.

Individual combat power on all three sides kept colliding under the will of their commanders.

Zooming out from a local view to the whole.

The Evil Moon hung high, and moonlight dyed the entire battlefield dark red.

The fissure-ridden earth was like the fangs of a ferocious beast, its original appearance long unrecognizable.

Toward the battlefield, the endless Swarm army was performing the ultimate art of slaughter.

In the sky, countless razor mayflies formed a death spiral, their wing blades interlacing and spinning, shredding Black Tide Evil Entities they passed into fragments as they engaged the air-combat forces formed by Skyfeather race players.

At the rear of the Swarm army, tens of thousands of steel spined stinger bugs arched their carapaces. High-pressure acid spurted from the vent pores splitting along their backs, bursting into emerald poison clouds over the battlefield and then falling as acid rain, corroding the honeycomb-like holes in the walls built by natural-catastrophe series units.

On the Black Tide side, the surging black mist condensed in midair into a darkness canopy that blotted out the sky.

Evil Entity warriors kept generating and were fed into the central battlefield in an unending stream.

Three plague behemoths cast from bones appeared in succession, spewing plague miasma that canceled with the Swarm’s acid rain upon contact with a hissing sound.

The player army split into two streams, meeting the Black Tide and the Swarm armies respectively.

Just as the defense line built by Light Shields was about to be torn apart by Swarm warriors, melee players who had been gathering power released Vital Qi, converging into a crimson ocean.

Rear-line players continuously activated the Bloodburn trait to grant status amplification to the players about to charge.

In an instant, the muscles of the melee players bulged as if volcanoes about to erupt, every muscle rising with power.

Veins bulged at their necks as vitality surged within their bodies.

The collectively thundering hearts beat like war drums pounding without pause. The dense drumbeats briefly suppressed the Swarm warriors’ sharp screeches.

At the instant when the Light Shield defensive wall was torn apart, the melee players began their charge.

The earth shook violently under their feet, as if the entire battlefield would be stomped to pieces.

The melee players were like enraged savages, carrying irresistible momentum as they turned into two iron torrents and charged fearlessly at Evil Entities and Swarm warriors.

They sought to push horizontally through both battle lines.

The blood that spurted from the collision evaporated into a scarlet mist before it could fall, dispersed by the body furnace under high temperature.

Relying on Bloodburn and Extreme Speed, the melee players briefly pushed both lines forward and then exhausted their strength.

But they also succeeded in stretching the battle lines.

Starnet’s orders arrived at this moment. They suddenly turned around and activated Star Shift on designated targets.

Domain-build players took the field. Elemental domains expanded with them as the center, and elemental bombardment instantly swept all life within the domains.

After this round of eruption ended, the tank players who had retreated to the second line topped the line again.

The brutality of war kept escalating as the sounds of muscles colliding, weapons clashing, and frenzied roars intertwined.

The central region became a life meat grinder, with lives perishing every minute and every second.

Warriors on all three sides feared no death, and none retreated, much less fled.

Throughout, they fought with everything they had, engaging in high-intensity clashes.

The Lord of Ecstasy, watching in secret, was utterly stunned by this scene.

He had studied countless races. The scale and intensity of the three-way melee in the Emperor’s Mound Mountain Range were not high, but each of the three forces was exerting its power to the utmost.

He tried to cut into one side, following the rhythm of the command to make deductions.

But as time passed, the speed at which his brain processed information gradually fell behind.

It was the same no matter which side he switched to.

He had also commanded more than one hundred million of his race in war, yet he could not control the details of war to the degree seen in the perceived images of these three forces.

His feeling was that these three forces seemed to be calculating and simulating down to the movements of individual warriors.

The supreme commander of war in his eyes mainly handled macro level decision-making.

But the backstage commanders of these three forces were controlling the macro situation while also obsessively picking at details, using those details to accumulate advantages bit by bit.

Until, through the advantages accumulated from details, they crushed the other two forces completely.

It even gave him an illusion.

After one side issued a combat order, the other two commanders had already begun simulating countless subsequent extensions of that step and then laid out preemptive responses.

Amid the melee, it was high energy the whole time.

Within seconds there were multiple tactical changes, and all three sides adjusted in step.

Many orders had delays of several minutes, and only when they specifically manifested did the Lord of Ecstasy suddenly understand why that order had been given minutes earlier.

This was no longer a simple contest of strength but also a battle of brains among the three commanders.

He had no doubt that if forces of equal strength were placed on this battlefield, they would be instantly melted by these three terrifying forces.

This level of war was simply absurd.

Although none of the three possessed great strength individually, their combined power was absurdly formidable.

The participating terrifying Black Tide and Battle Swarm were off as well.

He had observed Black Tide and the Swarm command level units of roughly similar strength, and they absolutely could not achieve such detail-oriented command.

“Do these three forces have a screw loose? They’re playing a small regional war like this!”

At this moment, a certain demigod level powerhouse hiding in an independent space felt his self-esteem gently shatter.
