Chapter 83-2: Weak Point Breakthrough (2)

This was also one of the ways the world’s hierarchy of power manifested itself.

Earth was a weak spiritual world, producing nothing but crude, ordinary food.

But in Monster World, even the plants and trees contained spiritual particles. Even the most common fruits far surpassed all delicacies found on Earth in both texture and taste.

With the chefs of the training camp carefully preparing the dishes, the spiritual food released layer upon layer of flavor. It possessed both the vastness and depth of mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas, as well as the refreshing elegance of flowers, fruits, and trees. Li Zheng and the others were fully immersed, while the bruises on their bodies visibly healed under the washing of spiritual energy, and their fatigue quickly vanished.

While Li Zheng and the others were feasting, the livestream chat was exploding with comments.

The players who had originally been watching for drama and entertainment were now outraged upon seeing Li Zheng and his group enjoying their meal, flooding the chat with criticism of their indulgence.

Li Zheng paid them no attention and continued devouring his food.

Just then, a commotion from the neighboring area caught Li Zheng and the others’ attention, causing them to look up.

They saw ten Four-Eyed race trainees violently beating up another trainee. Various foods were scattered on the ground, and the person being attacked had red hair, squatting on the floor, covering his head, passively enduring the abuse.

“These bastards are bullying a newcomer again.”

“Forget it, just keep eating, hurry up, I bet they’re coming for us next,” Li Zheng said as he stuffed more spiritual food into his mouth, eyes locked on the Four-Eyed race, afraid to miss out on eating.

“Yeah, hurry up, get our body tempering level up first.”

After this brief exchange, Li Zheng and the others resumed their frenzied eating.

But as they had anticipated, it wasn’t long before the ten new Four-Eyed race trainees approached their table.

“Had enough to eat?” Ghost Eye, leading the group, asked with a sinister grin.

Realizing they were about to get beaten again, Li Zheng and the others exchanged a few quick words in voice chat and launched a preemptive strike, grabbing their plates and hurling them at the Four-Eyed race.

“Fight!”

Unlike the red-haired alien warrior who timidly endured the abuse, Li Zheng and the others chose to face them head-on.

However, their resistance was ultimately futile. They were quickly overpowered and pinned to the ground. Ghost Eye, leading the group, viciously stomped on Li Zheng’s head.

“With your pathetic skills, you think you’re fit to be in the training camp? The weak don’t belong here.”

Though thoroughly beaten and unable to move, Li Zheng and the others kept talking, using colorful language to express their anger, which only provoked the Four-Eyed race into hitting them even harder.

As mealtime ended, a figure stepped out of the cafeteria and, with a wave of his hand, stored all the remaining spiritual food into a spatial storage device.

“Get out!”

Although the Four-Eyed race trainees were arrogant, they didn’t dare act up in front of the cafeteria manager. They immediately dragged the battered Li Zheng and his group out of the cafeteria and dumped them by the roadside before heading toward the training field.

Lying on the ground, Li Zheng and the others looked completely hopeless.

At that moment, a weak voice sounded.

“Li… Li-ge, why can’t I see anything?”

Everyone turned toward the voice and couldn’t help but burst into laughter upon seeing Family-Sharing Stepdad’s condition.

“Both your eyes are swollen shut, of course you can’t see.”

“Hahaha, you’re so miserable. How did you get beaten up this badly?”

“They grabbed me, several of them, and just kept punching me in the face, I… wanted to dodge… but I couldn’t…” Family-Sharing Stepdad, his face bruised and eyes swollen into slits, mumbled unclearly.

“We have to get revenge!”

“Yeah, definitely, but let me lie here a bit longer first. I’m exhausted.”

“Same here, I didn’t even eat my fill, I’m starving.”

At night training, Li Zheng and the others dragged their exhausted bodies to the training field.

The brightly lit training ground had already started a new round of training. A combat instructor was releasing abilities to conduct dodge training for the new recruits, while Chief Instructor Mad Sand watched coldly.

Noticing Li Zheng and the others arrive, Mad Sand didn’t even glance at them and said coldly.

“You’re up for the next round of dodge training.”

Knowing Mad Sand’s temper, Li Zheng and the others obediently stood by and waited, though their voice channel was full of curses.

By 10 PM.

Completely exhausted, Li Zheng and the others were taken to the medical room by Mad Sand.

There, they received physical treatment, and their fatigue and injuries were quickly healed. The day’s grueling training had finally come to an end.

Returning to their room, Li Zheng and the others began discussing how to counter the bullying.

Through the day’s training, they had discovered that the Four-Eyed race wasn’t the only group bullying others. There were also members of other alien races.

Just as Broken Star had said, weakness meant being bullied here.

As they talked, they also scrolled through the livestream comments, looking for a way to break the deadlock.

Most of the suggestions from the viewers were useless. As veteran players, Li Zheng knew just how unreliable these forum players were.

The previous victim had already been made into a meme, widely spread, and completely reduced to a laughingstock.

Still, one comment from the livestream gave Li Zheng an idea.

“Wanting to fight to the death isn’t wrong, but your ferocity doesn’t threaten the Four-Eyed race at all. If you want to fight, strike where it hurts. Find a point they can’t tolerate and keep hitting it until they’re scared. That’s the key to defeating bullies.”

This comment made Li Zheng start thinking about one question, what was the Four-Eyed race’s fatal weakness?

But obviously, there was no immediate answer.

Just then, something Dirt Poor said sparked Li Zheng’s inspiration.

“Sigh, wasted so much spiritual food. Still hungry. Let’s buy some canned food to fill up.”

It was this comment that suddenly reminded Li Zheng of one rule in the training camp.

The cafeteria provided two meals a day, at 8 AM and 6 PM, with each mealtime lasting 15 minutes. If you missed it, you weren’t allowed to eat again.

As long as they struck during this window, they could leave the Four-Eyed race unable to eat.

Though they would go hungry too.

But with access to the item shop, they could purchase all kinds of canned foods and even buy fish and spiritual ingredients from the Trading House.

In theory, as long as they were willing to spend sacrificial power, they would never go hungry.

With this inspiration, Li Zheng immediately shared his plan with the brothers in the Grind Kings Player Chat Group.

After hearing his plan, everyone clapped in agreement, saying they would rather forgo spiritual food than swallow this humiliation.
