Chapter 78-2: Infinite Monster Soul (2) |
“Yeah, let’s go take a look. Fortune favors the bold, cowards starve. Worst case, I end up in the black room reflecting on my mistakes.”
Hearing Iron Hammer’s proposal, everyone quickly agreed. They knew this game was full of hidden surprises that often brought massive sacrificial power rewards if discovered.
For example, a very lucky player once stumbled upon a strange machine at the bottom of a pit out of curiosity and received a huge fortune as a reward.
When they heard about it back then, they were all green with envy.
As a result, they had developed the habit of never missing any potential hidden events in the game.
In their eyes, the Flame Spirit’s appearance could be seen as triggering a hidden story event, and the blue liquid it spat might be part of that event.
Missing it would mean giving up a potential hidden story.
“Buy some potions from the shop, buff up, here comes the Black Tide.”
Glancing at the direction where the blue liquid had landed, Iron Hammer gulped down a red potion, then moved to the front of the squad, directly facing the surging Black Tide evil entities.
After a grueling advance, the Kindergarten players finally reached the spot where the blue liquid had fallen.
Once they had cleared the area of Black Tide evil entities, they finally saw what was inside the blue liquid.
It was a small creature resembling a kitten, with short limbs, covered in delicate, soft blue fur. Its breathing was faint, its body trembling slightly with each breath, as though struggling to maintain the spark of life. Around it swirled a faint blue mist, adding a mysterious air to this seemingly fragile being.
Its most distinct feature was the three-dimensional diamond-shaped mark on its forehead, as if a blue gemstone was embedded there, shimmering faintly under the Evil Moon’s light.
As they focused, analysis information surfaced in the Kindergarten players’ minds.
[Infinity (Sixth-Generation Primordial)]
Hunt Level: 29 (Near-Death)
Primordial Description: A Primordial Monster that controls the power of infinity. Its strength increases or decreases based on each World Judgment.
Guide Notice: Defeating a Sixth-Generation Primordial grants extra monster soul rewards (tradable).

“Holy crap (x15)!”
Seeing the analysis data for the little kitten, the entire group was stunned.
It was actually a Sixth-Generation Primordial.
Until now, the strongest Primordial generation they had encountered was the Fourth-Generation Mystic Butterfly, which they still hadn’t managed to contain.
Yet unexpectedly, they had stumbled upon a near-death Sixth-Generation Primordial.
Its value was obvious, defeating it would bring enormous sacrificial power rewards.
After a brief moment of shock, the Kindergarten members struck decisively, afraid that any sudden accident would ruin their chance to contain it.
Already weakened, Infinity was swiftly slain under their fierce assault, transforming into a blue mist that was absorbed by one of the nearby Guide clones.
Immediately, a global notification echoed in every player’s mind.
[Congratulations to the player squad ‘Kindergarten Little Class’ for successfully containing Sixth-Generation Primordial Monster: Infinity. Sacrificial power reward: 100,000 (shared among squad members). Additionally, received Sixth-Generation Primordial Monster Soul: Infinity x15.]

At initial level 1, judgment fluctuation ranges from 1% to 500%. The higher the Infinity monster soul level, the greater the fluctuation range. Judgment probability is influenced by the world’s fate.

The sudden system-wide announcement caused the forum and regional voice channels to instantly explode. Countless ‘holy crap’ messages flooded the screen.
The rewarded Kindergarten members were overwhelmed with excitement, hugging each other and cheering as applause and shouts overlapped.
After celebrating, they opened the star vein function list and prepared to embed the ‘Infinity’ monster soul.
Iron Hammer, taking the lead, removed and dismantled the ‘Resistance’ monster soul from his third star vein slot. His gaze swept to the inventory space on the right of the interface, where in the fifth slot of the second row floated a blue monster soul resembling a diamond-shaped die.
Dragging it with his mind into the third star vein slot, he immediately felt a mysterious energy flowing through his body. The sensation surged at first, then quickly calmed within a few seconds.
Once embedded, the method for using Infinity’s trait was etched into his mind.
Opening his eyes, he attempted to activate the Infinity trait ability.
Instantly, a blue energy die appeared before him. Each face was carved with intricate runes that changed colors and patterns over time, constantly shifting.
As the ability activated, the die spun faster and faster.
Eventually, it locked onto a black symbol, which rapidly enlarged until it filled Iron Hammer’s entire vision.
The Challenger Notification sounded in his mind:
[Challenger Notice: Monster Soul Trait Ability ‘Infinity’ activated. Roll result: 8. Rejected by World Power. Strength reduced by 92% (all embedded monster soul effects impacted). Duration: 35 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds.]
As the notification sounded, an overwhelming sense of weakness enveloped Iron Hammer.
His vision dimmed. His body felt as if burdened with thousands of pounds, even breathing became difficult, requiring his full strength to move.
“Damn it!”
Realizing his rotten luck had triggered a despair roll, suppressing his strength under the world’s rules, Iron Hammer’s expression grew extremely ugly.
At that moment, wild laughter erupted beside him.
Turning his head, he saw Drunken Milk surrounded by a faint blue glow, effortlessly conjuring a fireball.
This Inkflame fireball was completely different from before. A swirling vortex formed at the center of the burning black flames, while black arcs danced across its surface, radiating surging waves of energy outward.
“Easy fivefold boost, feels amazing.”
Grinning, Drunken Milk looked at the frustrated Iron Hammer.
“Oh no, our dear Iron Hammer seems a little weak, doesn’t he?”
Hearing Drunken Milk’s smug teasing, Iron Hammer couldn’t help but flip him the middle finger.
“I hope you roll a 1 next time… now help me up, I can barely stand.”
At this point, the other teammates had also completed their rolls and received the World Judgment buffs, but only Drunken Milk, Black Ball, and Class Rep received enhancements. The remaining players all rolled weakening results.
This left the Kindergarten members a bit confused.
The Infinity trait didn’t seem as powerful as they had imagined. They couldn’t understand why, despite the 1% to 500% fluctuation range, the probability of rolling a weakening result was so high.
To resolve their doubts, Iron Hammer decided to post a help thread on the forum.
