Chapter 378

When Lucius received the notice from Dumbledore, he was completely stunned.

What the hell?

His own son had defeated Quirrell, defeated Voldemort, uncovered the Animagus of Peter Pettigrew, and captured him?

Lucius recognized every letter in the letter.

But when put together, why did it all feel so unfamiliar?

Today wasn’t April Fool’s Day…Wizards don’t celebrate April Fool’s Day anyway!

However, Lucius’ confusion didn’t last long because Draco came home.

After handing him a pile of magical books, including the diary of Voldemort that was about to be taken away Lucius excitedly began to summon the allied families, marriage alliances, and subordinate families of the Malfoy clan.

The things Draco gave him were magic from another world.

Although only some relatively basic low-to-mid-level magic, compared to the magic of their own world, it undoubtedly opened a completely new gateway, enough to change the entire pattern of the magical world.

The future magical world belongs to the Malfoy family.

Late at night, Draco sneaked into the Gryffindor dormitory without being detected at all and successfully extracted the residual soul of Voldemort from Harry’s body.

………

Regarding Draco’s whole operation, Josh could only say “impressive”—he didn’t control Draco’s actions completely; he only provided Draco with resources, comprehensive information, and some suggestions.

So to a large extent, everything Draco did was his own decision.

But no matter what Draco did, everything in the Harry Potter world was just entertainment to Josh.

By comparison, another matter right now deserved his full attention.

After years of effort, Ancient One finally fulfilled her promise with him.

The Celestial Seed was finally planted successfully and matured in Azeroth.

The place where the World Seed was planted was none other than the site of the millennia-old Great Explosion, now the Endless Sea’s massive whirlpool.

Because this was the original location of the Well of Eternity, Azeroth’s greatest wound, the closest point to Azeroth’s core, where the energy was most abundant.

As for the forces capable of stopping Ancient One, they had all been defeated by her.

The Night Elves of the Broken Isles were completely driven back to Kalimdor.

Naturally, the Night Elves would not give up so both sides launched an unprecedented decisive battle in the Barrens.

The Night Elves assembled an unprecedentedly large army but the army controlled by Ancient One was even more terrifying.

Aqir, Faceless Ones, Naga, Shadow Night Elves, Satyrs, Mantis, Elemental tribes.

With several Old Gods all dealt with and their power completely absorbed by Ancient One, their subordinate races, just like the Aqir, were all controlled by her.

The Black Dragonflight, wherever they were hiding, were also summoned out by Ancient One.

And the Black Dragon leader, Deathwing, had also become Ancient One’s mount.

Even the Eternal Dragon appeared on the battlefield.

Each of these races alone could serve as the antagonist for an entire expansion. Now combined, even the Burning Legion would shudder, let alone the Night Elves?

Of course, the Night Elves were not without reinforcements.

Because of the appearance of the Aqir, Old Gods, and Black Dragonflight, the other four Dragonflights and many Wild Demi-Gods also joined.

Unfortunately, the current guardian dragons and wild demi-gods, even though ten thousand years had passed since the ancient war, still had not recovered.

Moreover, Ancient One had already planted numerous spies inside the enemy forces based on the information Josh provided.

And had obtained the artifact Dragon Soul.

The coalition led by the Night Elves was ultimately defeated.

As for the coalition led by Abbendis of humans, Tauren, and others, they remained silent in this war under Ancient One’s orders.

Though this war was between the races controlled by Ancient One and the Night Elves and their allies,

Abbendis clearly understood the ultimate beneficiary would be the humans he represented because the main reason for this war was Josh wanting Azeroth’s World Soul.

But that was not Ancient One’s goal.

Ancient One’s goal was to reach the pinnacle in this relatively chaotic and disordered world.

Her ultimate targets were the Pantheon, the Burning Legion, the Void, the Eternal Ones, the Primordials…

The races she currently controlled were just her tools.

After fulfilling the agreement with Josh, her next targets would be Draenor and…Argus!

Yes, unlike the orc invasion of Azeroth in the original timeline, in this timeline controlled by Ancient One, it would be her leading the army to invade Draenor.

At this point in time, Draenor was not yet shattered.

It could accommodate all these races under Ancient One, so there was no need to stay in Azeroth fighting over territory.

And once Ancient One left with these powerful races, facing the completely weakened Night Elves, humans would completely dominate the rule over Azeroth.

Then Abbendis could establish a human empire far more glorious than the Arathor Empire!

As for the fate of the World Soul, Abbendis didn’t care at all.

Because just like when the Titans were born in the Marvel Universe, each Titan’s birth basically represented the extinction of the planet’s native life.

If not, besides Argus, which was forcibly born, there’s never been any civilization surviving on those planets where Titans were born.

So Abbendis would not gamble on the mercy of Azeroth’s World Soul—like the Earth’s World Soul in the Marvel Universe, Tiamut, who dared to sacrifice herself to save all life on Earth, there was simply no second one.

Moreover, the death of the World Soul would only reduce the planet’s magical energy concentration, without many other negative effects.

Even the reduction of magical energy was actually beneficial to humans…After all, throughout Azeroth, the races obsessed with magic had never been humans.

However, Josh wasn’t really that concerned about the ultimate future direction of Azeroth.

What he cared most about was the Celestial Seed before him, which had absorbed the strongest star soul and all the power of Azeroth.

He wondered what level he could reach after fully absorbing the power of this divine seed and completing his ascension.

Could he reach the level of Arishem?

Or even surpass him and reach…

Josh shook his head, stopping himself from thinking further.

But with the previous lesson from Margot, the ascension ceremony definitely could not be conducted on Earth.

So he used the Space Stone to teleport himself to an uninhabited planet outside the solar system and had Margot guard him.

Then he began the ascension!
