Chapter 148: The emergence of signals

The appearance of the signal caused a sensation at Star Language Academy. Students from different planets gathered in the holographic hall, watching the flickering mathematical sequence rotate and reorganize on the massive screen.

"This is a patterned signal," Xiao Yuan analyzed. "It's not random cosmic noise, but a deliberate attempt at communication."

Lin Mo nodded, his eyes shining with that unique scientific brilliance: "If we can decipher it, perhaps we can establish contact with another civilization in the universe."

The decryption work continued for weeks. Experts from various fields joined in—mathematicians, linguists, astrophysicists, and even artists. Ultimately, they discovered this mathematical sequence was actually coordinates pointing to a previously undetected galaxy deep in the cosmos.

"This is absolutely incredible," A Xing said from the spacecraft's cockpit. "We might be the first civilization to receive their signal."

Lin Mo, Xiao Yuan, and A Xing decided to go personally. This time, their spacecraft had undergone complete upgrades, equipped with a faster-than-light engine that combined ancient crystal network technology with modern energy systems, capable of crossing thousands of light-years in extremely short time.

When their spacecraft approached the target galaxy, the sight left everyone breathless—it was a star domain composed of countless crystal planets, each world resembling a massive gemstone shimmering with soft light in the dark universe.

"This place feels like the heart of the universe," Xiao Yuan whispered. "Full of life and energy."

Their spacecraft was guided by a gentle energy field, landing on the surface of one planet. The city before them was entirely constructed of transparent crystal, with rivers of light flowing between buildings. The inhabitants had human-like forms, but their bodies seemed composed of some translucent substance, with visible energy flowing within them.

An elder-like being approached them, greeting them in a peculiar sonic language. Surprisingly, Xiao Yuan's crystal container resonated with the other's energy field, directly translating these sound waves into language they could understand.

"Welcome, friends from afar," the elder said. "We are the 'Light Vein Tribe,' and we have been waiting for a civilization like yours that can understand cosmic harmony."

In the following days, Lin Mo and Xiao Yuan learned that the Light Vein Tribe had existed for millions of years, their civilization built on complete harmony with cosmic energy. They showed Lin Mo a completely new form of energy—a pure energy directly from stellar cores that could provide eternal power for entire galaxies.

"This is exactly what we've been searching for," Lin Mo said excitedly. "A truly infinite, pollution-free energy source."

The Light Vein Tribe was willing to share this technology, but they also set one condition—Lin Mo and Xiao Yuan had to promise to use this energy for peaceful purposes, never allowing it to become a tool of war.

"We give you our word," Lin Mo said solemnly. "Our mission has always been to make the universe a better place."

After returning to their galaxy, Lin Mo and Xiao Yuan immediately launched the "Stellar Heart Project"—a grand endeavor aimed at combining the Light Vein Tribe's energy technology with the crystal network. As this project implemented, the entire galaxy's energy problems were completely solved, interstellar travel became unprecedentedly convenient, and connections between various civilizations grew stronger.

Years later, when Lin Mo had grown old and frail, approaching life's end, he and Xiao Yuan stood together at Star Language Academy's highest point once more, gazing at the distant stars.

"We've changed the fate of our galaxy," Lin Mo said softly. "But I believe this is only the beginning of universal peace."

"Don't worry," Xiao Yuan replied. "Your spirit will live forever within the crystals."
