Chapter 1597: Chapter 1597. Spirit And The Sun As One. |
Yasenia dove right into the Sun, the plasma of the star violently attacking Yasenia's body right as she did so. The scorching heat of the stars was searing and violent, pounding against her with destructive strength.
Even then, Yasenia was neither flustered nor hurt. Her defensive scale had evolved exponentially since she first arrived at the Transcendence Realm.
Once reaching the Transcendence realm, most cultivators would be able to blow up an average rocky world with their most powerful attack. Yasenia, being much stronger than the average cultivator, had a foundation higher than that.
Moreover, since then, Yasenia had undergone several leaps in strength, refinements, and many other power-gaining events. Now, at the middle-level of the Fourth Level in the Sixth Realm, Yasenia's body had gained durability that was incomparable to before.
So, as she dove into the stars, her body didn't flinch much even when the temperatures soared to millions of degrees. Yasenia's golden slit eyes, protected by a transparent eyelid similar to a lizard's, were not burned at all.
"I heard about it, but it truly changes a lot from Heavenly Layer to Heavenly Layer."
A star's strength was proportional to the layer it was located in. For example, the Sun circling the Blue Pearl World was powerful enough that even Tatyana would not rashly dive into it. If Yasenia dared to dive into it, she would most likely vaporize.
However, in this Heavenly Layer, with the strongest people being Sixth Level Transcendence Cultivators and their equivalents, the stars were not so violently powerful.
"Even then, the amount of Sun Energy here is just… ridiculous. I can sense Star Energy as well. However, the Sun Energy is just overwhelming."
Her body sank deeper, the crushing pressure within the star trying to crush her relatively small body. After all, compared to a Sun, Yasenia was but a dust particle.
"Spirit And The Sun As One… This realm of my cultivation technique focuses on making my Spirit attune to the Sun."
Usually, it would've been a slow and gradual progress. Yasenia would've needed to meditate and feel the Sun, slowly connecting with the Sun's energy.
"I can feel it…"
But the crazy dragon had decided to screw logic and dive into the Sun just to feel it better. Basically, instead of testing the temperature of her cooking oil by placing her hand above it, Yasenia chose to dunk her face into it.
Of course, with such methods, her comprehension about what a Sun was and the energy of it soared absurdly.
Meanwhile, within Yasenia's Dantian, Sui Xing and the other treasures were looking at their master with a strange look. Soluna, who had been mediating, asked with a confused expression. "Why has Yasenia dived into the Sun?"
A sentence she never thought she would utter, yet here she was, looking at her lover bathe in cosmic plasma.
Sui Xing had seen everything, so he answered. "She is trying to understand the Sun."
"..." Even Soluna, who was born from extreme Yin and Yang energies clashing, didn't know what to say.
Dramel spoke with a cough. "Should I sing a song?"
Draheart sighed at the little Moon circling around her core body. "Don't."
Sui Xing muttered, quite awed. "Still, look at all that energy pouring in through her meridians. Wouldn't the center of a star be quite a good place to cultivate?"
Soluna, being closer to what Yasenia was as a Nascent Celestial Spirit, shook her head. "Too much Yang. If she continues staying here for a long time, Yasenia's body might be incapable of keeping the balance."
Sui Xing commented. "Can't she go from here to the Moon and back? The journey doesn't take that long."
Soluna nodded. "She could."
"...But?"
Soluna glanced at Sui Xing strangely. "Can't you guess?"
Sui Xing was confused before the faces of Yasenia's lovers flashed in her mind. "Ah… Right. If she does that, she won't be able to contact her lovers easily."
Soluna nodded. "That's right. While getting stronger is a priority, it falls behind when it comes to paying attention and dealing with her lovers!"
Sui Xing sighed. "Don't puff your chest at that…" Then, he muttered, curious. "If Yasenia gave up all her family bonds… what kind of creature would she become?"
The rest of the treasures could only stay silent. Draheart, though, spoke softly. "She would become a lonely and unequaled being. She would truly be like the Sun, Moon, and Stars. Visible, yet too far to reach out."
Hearing such words from the usual taciturn Draheart, the rest felt a small prickle in their hearts. Imagining that Yasenia didn't feel like her at all.
So, Sui Xing decided not to make the suggestion to Yasenia and just observe. Even if he was only a soul strand, there was basic knowledge within him that could help Yasenia if she was stuck.
Yasenia never got stuck, though. Her monstrous comprehension abilities and talent fueled her body as she roamed the Sun, allowing it to guide her with the internal currents.
Her spiritual energy was constantly pulsing outward, fighting fiercely yet trying to harmonize with the wild Sun. Her Spiritual Sense massively spread outward, failing to cover a large area. Even then, it spread out enough for her to see more movements at a general level.
"Powerful… No wonder most Sun techniques lack finesse and are just brutally oppressive."
While she already knew from many of her comprehensions and enlightenments, feeling it with her flesh made her understand just how violent a star truly was. There was no sense of finesse anywhere, as everything was a fight of supremacy.
At the very core, natural reactions and heavenly energy pumped out monstrous heat. From the outside, the sheer magnitude of the celestial body tried to crush it inwardly and collapse its very core.
A balance of raw explosive energy and crushing power, finely tuned to maintain the sphere of raw power called the Sun.
Yasenia closed her eyes fully, and her energy surged wildly outward. There was no finesse; Yasenia just tried to expand her own energy out widely, as if she were attempting to blow up the Sun from within.
Naturally, the gargantuan star was no pushover, and, through the sheer magnitude of its existence, denied Yasenia's attempts and crushed her down.
Nestling at the very center of the Sun, Yasenia could feel the terrifying forces from the core and the pressure trying to squeeze her. Her muscles strained, her bones tensed up. Her powerful scales tightened against her skin, some peeling off as they were destroyed, while others regenerated quickly.
Her pores suddenly opened up, and Sun Energy rushed into her system like a flood. Her sturdy and elastic meridians tensed up, their inwards slightly burned by the wild and untamed Sun Energy.
Inside Yasenia's Dantian, her treasures all began spinning and absorbing as the torrent of energy descended. Looking at all that energy, the Celestial Black Hole Energy Star became a greedy, devouring beast.
Its black accretion disk and gargantuan blue body spun, creating a whirlwind of Sun Energy as it sucked everything in.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
Treasures in the Supreme Ranked broke through one level, while the others shimmered more clearly, having gained some strength.
Meanwhile, Yasenia's violent push and pull with the star suddenly took a turn. Her ability to keep pushing faltered, and soon the crushing pressure of the gargantuan star began to squeeze inward.
Yasenia didn't panic. Instead, she smiled.
'This is the feeling of a… dying star.'
When the fuel within can't keep up. When the massive body becomes just too large… The star's life cycle ends.
The equilibrium broken, Yasenia's internal energy collapsed. However, Yasenia knew that there was a second life for some stars. She had seen it: a second fuse lit up, one only a star massive enough can survive.
Within Yasenia, her Spiritual Cultivation Technique lit up, and before the rest of the treasures reacted, it burst with blinding Sun Energy.
BOOM!!!
Yasenia's aura skyrocketed, her cultivation making a large step forward and almost reaching the advanced fourth level. The new strength pushed outward, and the crushing power of the star stabilized once more. Moreover, this time, the area Yasenia's presence took over was at least twice as large as before.
Yasenia opened her eyes, and her massive wings spread out, pushing down the thick plasma around her as she shot up. Her body tore through the star, and soon, she felt the Celestial Body.
"It's done… and this level gave me quite a nice surprise."
As always, upon reaching a new level in her Spiritual Cultivation Technique, new skills appeared in her mind. Skills she welcomed.
"[Spirit And The Sun As One] gave me two skills… [Dying Sun] and [Sun's Crushing Blow]."
[Dying Sun] was an explosive burst-type technique. Yasenia could gather terrifying amounts of Sun Energy to create a large Sun and, right away, make it explode. The attack power of this attack was not only overwhelming, but the area of effect was large enough to feel unavoidable. Blocking was the only option.
"I need to be a bit careful, though. The explosion of [Dying Sun] is quite violent."
Meanwhile, [Sun's Crushing Blow] was, interestingly, a physical technique that could also be used by weapons. Of course, blunt weapons would be better, but a sword or spear could be used as well.
This skill gathered the crushing strength of the Sun's colossal mass to deliver a star-shattering blow. It was raw and absolute crushing power. Yasenia's lips arched. 'I like this skill very much.'
It was the type of technique Yasenia could use often and even merge with her [Grand Cosmos Martial Art] forms. "Still… both skills are offensive skills again."
Yasenia didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "Well… I've never been one to defend much, so I guess I can do with my three defensive techniques."
Shaking her head, Yasenia flapped her wings and left the Sun, not noticing that her last outburst had caused some ripples in the Sun's structure. While everything returned to normal quickly, it spoke volumes about Yasenia's power.
The girls looked up when they felt their dragoness returning from her almost year-long journey. Once she transformed back into her humanoid form and landed, they gathered around her with curiosity.
"Where did you go?"
Yasenia blinked and smiled. "To the Sun."
Andrea and the other girls stiffened, not really understanding what she was speaking about. Meanwhile, Tatyana looked at Yasenia with an odd look, her eyes scanning the traces of Sun Energy around her body that had yet to dissipate. "Little Treasure… you didn't dive into the Sun by any chance?"
Evelyn laughed. "Even if it is Yasenia…"
"How did you know, Mom?"
"...she… wouldn't…" Evelyn, hearing Yasenia's surprised exclamation, felt her laughter get choked in her throat.
Yasenia pouted. "I wanted to surprise you…."
Tatyana rubbed her forehead, and after doing some mental calculations, she chose the best course of action. 'Don't think too deeply!'
A hand landed on Yasenia's head as she smiled and caressed her. "Great job. Was it fun?"
Yasenia blinked and smiled brightly. "Yeah! Training in the Sun is quite efficient!"
The rest of the girls also decided to give up and praised Yasenia as well, making her tail wag rapidly.
