Chapter 87

First thing in the morning is the usual stretching, form practice and some light crafting.

Also, before logging out, I want to find the Nether upgrades I have been neglecting. In terms of points, let's expand…the castle and castle town to II, and raise the Outsider respawn point by one.

First, to the respawn point and click on the UI.

"Oh?"

"Oh? It went from a shrine to a small, single-storey building…"

I explore with a person who had just returned from death.

Apart from the fact that there is a donation box by the entrance, it is just a normal house…

"It's so normal that it's hard to comment… Well, moving on."

Leaving the dead guy, I head to the castle town.

In the main square of the castle town, there is a tower. A tower that plays a very important role. It may even be more important than Evernight Castle.

The tower has a gate, the entrance to which is guarded by an Immortal. But what goes on inside? Not even the Chancellor knows. Of course I, a Nemeseia, don't either.

"Hmm…."

"What's wrong? …No way."

"Oh, I think the time has come."

"I see… We'll miss you. See you again!"

"See you, someday."

One of the two young men is walking towards the tower.

"I think the time has come."

"Then, to the door."

It's a four-metre high door of unknown material. Basically, no one can open it. Only ‘those whose time has come' can open it.

When the young man touches the door, it opens slowly. Inside is a staircase leading upwards.

"May you have a peaceful sleep and a pleasant journey."

"Thank you."

The young man turns and waves, then walks in. At the same time, the door closes.

Only the person whose time has come can open the door in the first place, so the Immortal gatekeeper is there to confirm, explain and see them off.

No one tried to take advantage and get inside while the door was open. Because they don't know what will happen.

Because this tower…. is a gate to the stars, where reincarnation takes place.

It's not a life crisis, but a soul crisis. It's not something to be trifled with. It's a world where there are resurrection potions, but when it comes to souls, it's a different story.

The disappearance of the soul is the real death. The divine punishment for those who commit the greatest sins is to be forbidden from reincarnation. That is the annihilation of the soul. The divine work, «Erasing Burning Chain», which cannot be used without the permission of Stellura-sama, does this. It's a completely event-related skill.

Well, in other words, it's time for him to be reincarnated. It's a common sight. Some of them are even families going together….what a surprise.

In the end, new souls will come soon, so there is no visible change in the number of people.

Anyway, I came to upgrade the castle town. It would be more correct to call it renovation work. When I click on it, the light spreads out like ripples, and it becomes beautiful. The cracked walls and worn roads have become pretty.

After being seen off by the Resident souls, next is to head to the gate of Evernight Castle. It's not a new building, but it's more historical than shabby.

With this, there are no points left, so it will be left alone for a while.

I log out, finish breakfast, then log in again.

"Sire, the tea tree has grown."

"Oh, let's go and take a look."

I move to the field behind the palace, where the tea trees were planted.

"Welcome, Sire."

"Are the leaves ready to be picked?"

"Yes, only….as expected, they have changed."

Well, after checking, it is clear to see they have indeed changed. Different varieties have different environments, so it is natural. At least they managed to grow up?

I planted three major black teas, Darjeeling, Uva and Keemun, and an Assam tree. These have been transformed into subspecies, but the purpose is still black tea. What is important is how they taste. I won't know if I don't drink it, so time to harvest.

Oh, this is the leaf before processing. That's a problem. In the survival event, Rina got it in a processed form, but was that event specific? Or perhaps some kind of skill. I'm sure my sister has the «Collecting» skill. The one she does not have that might have an impact is «Cooking».

Okay, managed to get the processed ones. I collect processed tea leaves from each of the trees for tasting. If I like it, I will keep it to use for myself. If I'm not so fond of it, I shall pass it on to Ellie's group for now.

Tea leaves go to a maid, a professional who makes tea, and I shall hang on to the rest. I have asked her to use tea leaves that I exchanged event points for several times, so it should be fine.

"Can you tell the quality?"

"I'd like to say yes…but it has just changed, so it is still uneven. It's not something that should be served just yet."

"So it's possible to harvest it, but it will be a while longer before it settles down?"

"That's right. In a little while the magic will stabilise."

It's true that there are fluctuations in the magic flowing through the tree. When it settles down, the magic will be supplied in a stable fashion and the quality will settle down.

"That's a lot of magic, by the way. Has it become a spirit tree? Hmm… I'll report it to the Chancellor."

"A spirit tree?"

"A tree with more magic power than any other. It's useful for wands. Treants are the most common."

All plants and animals have some magic. Trees are useful for many things, but the spirit trees, which have a lot of magic power, are often processed into wands and staves."

"To be precise, a wand made from a spirit tree is a luxury item. Treants and the like will fight back."

"Is it hard to cut down? Well, I'm not going to cut it down, because it is meant for tea leaves. We'll continue to manage it."

"Leave it to me."

I'll leave the trees be for now and taste the tea that was brought over.

"The high mana concentration of the land makes the tea hard to diffuse, so if you want to use it you should prepare magical tools."

"I assume the leaves have magic power, because the tree is a spirit tree. I have the money, so I will look into it. But first, checking how it tastes."

"From right to left, we have Darjeeling, Uva, Keemun and Assam."

"Let's see….mm?"

I'll start with the Darjeeling, but….they have all changed.

"Probably because there is no sun here."

"Ah… it was always the moon. The magic recovering grass grows well because of that, but is that where the fault lies. However, it's not bad, so it can be considered as having an increase in variety."

The aroma is nice. The colour is light. The taste is refreshing.

"Overall, the aroma has been increased and the taste has been reduced. …The advantage of Assam, its richness, has died. On the other hand, has Uva survived? Darjeeling and Keemun are not bad either."

Assam is dead. The distinctive aroma of Uva is more pronounced. Darjeeling and Keemun are not bad, but I'm a little concerned about the light taste…

Hm~…hm? Overall, I don't find it astringent. Then….

"Let's increase the steeping time a little. The overall taste is not astringent, so let's let the flavour come out longer. These varieties may taste better that way."

"Understood."

Being that it's a game, you can taste as much as you like without worrying about getting a stomach ache.

In the worst case, as long as we can keep the current scent, we can try blending the varieties to change the flavour, or pair them with sweets. If that doesn't work, I'll think about it then.

On the other hand, it might be possible to mix these varieties with those from the surface, to change the flavour.

Tasting the tea that has come again. Going in this direction seems to have been right. When using these varieties, lets steep them longer.

"Yes, this is good enough. Except for Assam…"

"Is the Assam still no good?"

"It's lighter than it should be. You can't drink it expecting that richness."

The best change was the Uva. Then Darjeeling and Keemun…. Assam at the bottom. We'll see what happens when the magic settles.

For now, let's call Ellie and the others. Then, before they arrive, we'll set up in a position where we can see the trees fluttering.

<Eliza has come to visit.>

<Abbie has come to visit.>

<Letty has come to visit.>

<Dorie has come to visit.>

The maid has guided them over.

"We're here."

"Good morning!"

"Welcome, to my castle!"

"Is today's leading role the tree?"

"Yes. The tea trees. To be fair, they're just trees."

I know I set this up, but it's not very interesting to look at. They're just trees, with some of the leaves picked and processed.

Well, that's not the point, it's more about the tasting.

"I feel sorry for Assam…"

"The Uva, it's more delicious than what I got with the points."

The evaluations of these two are matching mine.

"I want Keemun!"

"Darjeeling, maybe. I'd like a bit of Uva too."

Well, which one you want is another matter. It's entirely a matter of taste. I'll just give you the rest of the tasting batch. Ask the maid how to make it.

I give Ellie and the others some tea leaves as a souvenir and see them off.

Now, let's go visit Lana.

I learned the [Water Surface Form] over the weekdays. The rest is just a question of how well I can put it into use.

"Welcome, Sire. Training?"

"I want to master [Water Surface Form]."

"Let me help. Short range? Or long range?"

"Long distance today."

"Then we'll do that."

I'll ask one of the ranged attack users at the training group to cooperate. According to Lana, going along with my training is also training, so feel free to have them help out. Well, they are NPCs in the first place, but that's not something that should be said.

The name of [Water Surface Form] comes from….how it parries and reflects everything, returning it to its original state, like the surface of water.

It seems that the higher the Ex is, the more ambiguous the form becomes. I should say that it becomes more natural. The form is optimised so that you can transition from any position to any of the actions. I don't know forms of any other style than «Kokon Musou».

To reflect, just hit the blade against the flying object. In other words, just have the blade on standby at the location of the red line displayed by «Sensing Danger».

This is just for activating the reflection though. Whether you can hit anything with the reflected object is another matter. I have a feeling that there's a hidden reflective hit rate adjustment.

That said, if you just put the blade on standby for each attack, you can only deal with attacks one-on-one. And above all, it lacks elegance.

After coming this far, my goal is to become a Je*i. That is the ideal I imagine for my melee and reflecting. The source of my damage will still be magic and tentacles.

To be able to do that, all I can do is practice. Spin, spin, let's spin around.

"After all, rather than «Kokon Musou», Sire's fighting style focuses more on «Sensing» and «Detecting». Increasing them will make you more stable."

"That's…right. While focusing on the surroundings I depend on «Sensing Danger» and «Intuition»."

"The tertiary skills are «Foresight» and «Sixth Sense». As Sire has a blessing…fufufu, I'm looking forward to it."

Hoho? For the third tier they are «Foresight» and «Sixth Sense». And the blessing of Stellura-sama might have an effect? If there is a relation, it would be due to the aspects of space-time and fate.

Well, put that aside for now. Let's have fun training.

After doing this and that, and finishing lunch, I log in. What should I do?

….When in doubt, just walk around the town. So off I go to the Starting Town.

Oh, there's a carriage stopped there.

This game is basically realistic. You'll see merchants' carriages driving through the town, and you'll see carriages parked in front of shops. Since the distribution system means things go out of stock, that area seems to be rather elaborate too. After a while, they are replenished.

Oh, you are cleaning up. Thank you for your hard work.

The statue of Stellura-sama in the town centre seems to be cleaned by a priestess every day, using [Washing]. I wonder if it's a church job, or voluntary.

By the way, the statue in the church and the statue in the centre of the town are actually different. The statues for all four pillars, in the chapel of the church, are made of a white stone-like material. On the other hand, the statue of Stellura-sama in the centre of the town looks like grey ceramics.

It probably makes sense in this world. It is strange that the statue of Stellura-sama is placed separately. The temple in the Old Temple area was said to have become like that because there was only a single statue of Stellura-sama. Then what about the one in the centre of town?

As long as it functions as a portal, it should be possible to avoid the undead hordes by limiting it to Stellura-sama's face of ‘space-time'….I think.

There may be differences in colour, material, or other manufacturing methods. If I ask Lucianna-san, she will tell me….but that's fine. It's too trivial to worry about.

"Ooooww! Turtleeee!"

It seems that a man was walking along and stubbed his toe….on a turtle player who was moving along slowly, close to the ground.

"I'm sorry. Forgive me."

"It's okay!"

"Please clarify whether you're Exdeath or Golbez!"

"Oh, it was recognised."

"But I'm from the Dragon Quest sect."

"What….did you say…..?"

"Zawa……zawa……"

"No, it's too mixed up."

"Uhahaha. Meteor power!"

"My good friend!"

They're in a good mood.

Oh, they registered as friends and went hunting. Seems like they really hit it off…

But a turtle player. I sometimes see them in my sensing range. As you expect from the appearance, turtles are tanks. They can't equip shields, but apparently still use «Defence» arts. Well, they have their own on their back.

Oh, an angel with two pairs of wings. It seems that level 40 grants them a second pair.

It's interesting to just look around the open space of the square. Everyone looks different, and there are many races. It's like we really are in a different world. They're talking happily about where they're going to hunt.

Now, what should I do? It should be hunting while aiming for the third tier skills, after all. It seems that some of the forerunners are already reaching the third stage.

In my case, the first thing to enter the tertiary level is «High-Class Magic Ability». No matter how I think about it, I don't have enough SP.

Since «Luminous Magic» and «Darkness Magic» are the mainstays of my spellcasting, I'd like to get them into the third tier right away. «High-Class Magic Ability» is also a mainstay, so it needs to be upgraded. Also «Sensing Danger» and «Intuition». «Holy Magic» and «Shadow Magic» will take more time. Six passive skills are also coming up on the second tier.

Hmmm…I also want to look into the racial skills. «Clad in Madness» is not great.

Oh? Now that I think about it, my race changed from Immortal to Outer One. Since the SP cost is cheaper for racial skills that match your race, I would like to get one from there.

There's a good one. Let's take this.

«Unknown Organisation»

Inflicts a random, race-dependent status abnormality on the contacted target.

Abnormalities: Sores, corrosion, atrophy/shrinkage, unrecoverable.

Sores are a condition caused by acid attacks. The problem is anything other than that. I don't recall them being in the help… or, maybe….

・The status abnormalities section of the help will be updated according to the progress of all players.

Specifically, upon being inflicted with the condition, or acquisition of a skill that can cause it.

It was written in the content of the update. Well, it's just a help page and doesn't go into details, so you would probably still end up turning to the verification team's wiki.

Anyway, without taking the skill, I won't be able to find out what they do. If I take this I should be able to raise «Magical Erosion» without worrying about the surroundings, so I'll take it.

It should be better than taking them one by one from the common inhuman skills.

<Help has been updated.>>

Let's see?

Sores

A sore on the skin caused by an acidic substance.

Slip damage occurs while touching the cause, making it difficult to move the damaged body part.

Corrosion

A very dangerous condition in which the skin or metal is corroded.

Slip damage occurs while touching the cause, and maximum HP is decreased.

If the target is a living being, ‘Bleeding' is inflicted. If the target is metal, ‘Rust' is inflicted.

Atrophy

Limited to organic substances. A state in which cells have shrunk. Penalty depending on the affected body part.

Shrinkage

A version of atrophy, limited to inorganic substances.

Unrecoverable

All healing effects are disabled.

Rust

The defence of the rusted area is reduced.

Bleeding

Blood is being lost from the body.

Sores and bleeding were present originally. The sores were released along with acid versions of poison, I believe.

By the way, the ‘Fear' and ‘Madness' from «Clad in Madness» are also here.

Fear

The state of being afraid of an opponent. You deal less damage to the feared opponent.

Madness

Enter a crazed state. Automatically start attacking nearby people.

From the description of «Unknown Organisation», it seems pretty good, but the important part is the specifications. It's hard to say, because there is no description of the essential part. The duration and the amount of damage!

It's necessary to test it.

"Hey, Princess! It's you, isn't it? It is, right? Let's test it."

A wild Shirabesuki-san appeared!

"How did you know?"

"Hmm? If we're talking about abnormal conditions, it's Princess, right? And Princess is easy to find. You stand out, and can usually be found using the personal board."

"Ah, yes. It's one that I had overlooked in my race skills, so I just took it. I was just thinking about testing it out, so it's fine."

"Then let's go!"

The automatic recovery in towns makes it hard to test here, so we will go outside the town. We've attracted quite a crowd, but it's only a skill test, so I don't think it will be fun to watch…

"Hey, come on!"

We'll test using the duel function, so PvP. Otherwise I'll become a red player.

First of all, the triggering conditions are important. I'll test it out by flicking Shirabesuki-san.

"Hmm… Sores are the same. And it's not triggered through the sword. It needs to be direct contact with Princess' body, and you're more susceptible in the order of skin, clothes, armour. So it's a mucus-based condition, right?"

Skills that inflict abnormalities can also be classified into several types.

There are auras, which are effective even through equipped items, such as armour.

Mucus, which requires direct contact. For example, slimes and such.

Organ types, that can be used only through specific parts. Such as the poisonous fangs of a snake.

«Unknown Organisation» is the same as slimes. …..So like «Aura of Darkness», it doesn't work with weapons. In other words, it won't be inflicted while parrying.

But that's not a problem at the moment. The important thing is to see if the tentacles can inflict the abnormal conditions.

"Uoh, tentacles!? That's a crazy range!"

"『Tentacle play on a male elf!? Who'd want to see that!?』"

"Wait, I'm losing feeling. This isn't good. What is it?"

There is an unfamiliar icon by Shirabesuki-san.

"Hmm…. This is atrophy. It feels like being anaesthetised. There is damage when atrophy occurs. No continuous damage. A drop in stats? Whoa? Wait, wait, wait, there's more!"

Oh… he's got sores, corrosion and atrophy. Corrosion adds bleeding as a bonus condition. The levels of sores and atrophy are increasing.

"These tentacles aren't perverted at all! It's really bad!"

"Well, it's a Cthulhu-type tentacle…".

"My HP is steadily going down! I can't tell the performance of individual abnormalities. What you can be sure of is that if you leave it alone and let everything stick, you will seriously die."

"Hmm….The maximum HP is also decreasing. Let's stop it for the moment…. Oh?"

"Unrecoverable!? Ten seconds…. Hmm? Isn't this situation a case of dying? Getting hit with all this is really bad. Since it's mucus-based…..[Washing]. For now it's not going to get any worse."

The chance of inflicting abnormalities is organ types < mucus types < aura types. The success rate for bypassing defences is the other way around. If you get bitten by a snake or something, it's almost certain. And the level is high from the beginning.

And for those caused by the mucus types, it seems that the condition will continually rise in level unless the fluid that is the cause is cleansed with [Washing] . In other words, slimes in this world are strong.

Compared to the other two, the aura type is harder to acquire, but it is still strong because it has an order of magnitude higher chance of causing the status abnormalities. However, this is a high-level skill, designed for high-ranking races.

The common abnormal conditions seem to have an accumulated value.

Shirabesuki-san has used [Washing] to prevent the conditions from rising in level.

Even in an unrecoverable state, it's possible to use [Washing]… It's just cleaning, rather than recovering. Apparently using [Drinking Water] is effective too, but [Washing] is faster and easier.

"The decrease was nasty… If corrosion is removed with [Cure], the maximum HP will return to its normal state, but the lost HP will remain gone."

"It's fine because it's a game, but in real life you'd probably have to cut off the corroded part."

"It would be hopeless if it were the head or torso…"

After that, we did some more tests.

The probability of abnormalities seems to be sores > corrosion > atrophy > unrecoverable.

"Hmmm? It looks like there are about 3 separate judgements….Otherwise the probability would be…."

"It is that many?"

"First, if the condition succeeds. If it succeeds, which one will be inflicted. And since it's a mucus based, if it will be inflicted again while the fluid is adhered…is what it looks like? I wonder if this is the behaviour of compound poisons… If you look at the state of the conditions alone, the mucus type might be the strongest."

"The judgement of continuous affliction from the adhesion is nasty."

"Slimes can be wiped out by magic, but if it gets attached, it's dangerous. The mucus type is the only one that you could throw, but it seems to be difficult due it being slow and falling."

"Oh, so you can make them fly."

"Yeah. What I'm trying to say is, isn't the tentacle too powerful?"

"I was a bit disappointed with the attack power of the tentacles themselves, but I think I'll head in this direction with them. Isn't it the best method for infecting?"

"It probably is the best way to cause abnormalities… By the way, I've heard that the Feeler Kalkinion turned out pretty well when it was taught an abnormal state skill…"

"Ah, the tentacle hermit crab. It does have a lot of feelers, and tentacles are mucus types."

"Well, they don't come out of space all of a sudden like those of Princess…"

"Because they're probably tentacles from the main body. Come, shall we spread out, everyone?"

"That's absurd."

The mucus can be removed by [Washing] or [Cure]. [Cure] is very convenient, as it removes both the abnormal conditions and their cause.

If the cause of the abnormality is not removed by [Cure], [Washing] will be required first, which is quite troublesome.

While attacking with magic, I can use Athame to parry or reflect, and use tentacles to cause obstructions and inflict conditions with macros.

It is worthwhile to increase the probability of abnormalities with «Magical Erosion» and «Unknown Organisation».

"If you ignore the bleeding…. burns, frostbite and sores do the same damage, but corrosion is slightly stronger."

"It seems that the maximum HP reduction is the same as the damage caused by corrosion. It will be removed if the corrosion is cleansed with [Cure], but if you do not do it fast enough, the lost HP is still gone."

"Unrecoverable disables all healing spell recovery. Potions are useless. [Washing] is still effective. It is also possible to clean it with [Drinking Water]. It seems fine to consider it a higher level of curse. It's a version with a stronger effect, but shorter duration."

The number of verification team members has increased by two.

"I see, the status reduction of atrophy is focused on the affected area."

"So the rate of reduction is quite high. The probability of atrophy itself is low, but it's mucus-based, so you can't be too careful."

The reduction caused when something affects the entire body tends to be low. On the other hand, it seems that the rate of reduction is higher for the status reduction effects that are limited to the impacted body part.

I have always been on the side that is causing the conditions, so I did not know such details. This time, I'd say it's just right.

"Corrosion is a physical type. Atrophy and unrecoverable should be filed under ‘other'?"

""No objection.""

Oh, by the way…. the description of «Active Cells» mentioned special abnormal conditions.

"Shirabesuki-san."

"What is it?"

"It seems there is a classification of special abnormal conditions?"

"""Details!"""

"Unfortunately, I don't know much about it either, but my «Active Cells» ‘halves the effect of special abnormal conditions'."

"Then let's test it."

That's a big smile. Well, I'm curious too, so I don't mind.

"Well, first….take off your equipment. Please use this robe."

"Oh, yes."

The best way to test the effects of skills is to remove your equipment and refrain from using skills. However, since this time it's for abnormal states, there's no need to hold back on the skills.

I'll test by enabling and disabling «Active Cells».

"I see. Is it a special case indeed?"

"Well, in short, it's action inhibitor's, isn't it?"

"Hm? In the first place, those of «Lower Independent Race» should all be immune to status abnormalities, but special abnormal conditions are still effective."

"""….Very interesting."""

"Princess, what are your plans for today?"

"Nothing much. I was just going to hunt as usual."

"Then let's have some fun fun verification?"

"Well, I don't mind. I'd like to know what to watch out for."

"Okay, I'll call them."

""Right.""

The numbers of the verification team have increased further. Rather, they're coming fast.

"『I heard that Princess is cooperating.』"

"For the time being, hit Princess with abnormalities. The ones that stick are likely to be special types."

"『Yes, got it!』"

My defence skills are growing steadily.

"Princess, do you have «Higher Physical Immunity»?"

"Yes, magic too. Though the level is still low."

"Is there a slight effect difference between mitigation and immunity?"

"It does feel different when you make a melee attack."

"『Very interesting.』"

Even if you don't know the skill of the enemy, it seems possible to understand it to some extent with the effect. The gauge does not decrease, so the immunity is obvious at a glance.

"Oh, right. Princess, let's try atrophy on you."

"Do you have a way to use it?"

"Can you make mucus? If you can, it can be bottled. When thrown, it should work."

Apparently it's a money earner for Outsiders. It doesn't need to be mixed, since they can produce it themselves, so it seems that most of the abnormal condition items are sourced from inhumans.

Let's try it. I know that I can change the state of the tentacles surface, so I'll make it appear in a slimy state. They're carefully collecting the drops in a bottle….but why not just touch it? Well, let's just see if it becomes an item.

Something very sticky, with a reddish black foam goes into the bottle.

[Poison] Catastrophic Life Rarity: Le Quality: C

A highly viscous liquid that can inflict sores, corrosion, atrophy/shrinkage and unrecoverable.

Secreted by an Outer One, it is a poison formed of components that are not found on the surface.

It erodes the flesh of living beings and invites life to catastrophe.

Abnormal Condition (Throwing): Sores, Corrosion, Atrophy/Shrinkage, Unrecoverable Lv1 / 5s

Abnormal Condition (Imbibed): Sores, Corrosion, Atrophy/Shrinkage, Unrecoverable Lv3

Liquid Viscosity: Large

"Isn't this the level of poison that comes out in assassination events or something?"

"What the hell is this."

"Event-only item performance."

"And I've never seen the poison genre before."

If the abnormal condition given is less than 3, it is a [Dangerous Medicine], and if it is more than 3, it is a [Poison].

‘Throwing' is obviously the effect when it is thrown, while ‘Imbibed' is when it is consumed.

With a level of ‘small', the liquid viscosity is similar to water.

It is basically strong if you can make the target drink it, but of course you need to get it into their mouth. If they drink it, the success rate will be much higher than if it is thrown and [Washing] will be ineffective, leaving the choices of [Cure] or detoxification.

We are just outside the gate of the Starting Town, so a member of the verification team catches a wolf and throws the item into its mouth.

"Uwa, all of them at level 3…"

With the catastrophic life in its mouth, the wolf writhes around, before decaying into polygons as the corpse melts.

"Uwa, even the corpse disappeared. Just like the description says."

"Well, you can't take that kind of level 3 damage. And atrophy lowers stats. But it's slightly different from other poisons, isn't it?"

It seems that the team has performed tests with a slime player and plant-based Clementia-san. It seems to have been discovered at that time that there is a difference in treatment between ‘killing an enemy with your own abnormal condition ability' and ‘killing an enemy with an abnormal condition item'.

If you kill an enemy with an item, the quality of dropped items will be lowered. For example, meat sometimes has the abnormal condition that you used.

Compared to that, there is no such degradation for inhuman abilities. However, if you use an abnormal condition item for a condition you do not have, it will deteriorate.

Therefore, the game recognises toxins that originate from your own body, so they won't cause drop deterioration.

This is the current state of knowledge about abnormal condition items.

Then, what happens with the catastrophic life…

«Dismantling» will no longer work, and dropped items will be degraded. However, its ability as a poison is very high. Because of its high poisoning ability, it seems best to think that the drops will deteriorate to an unusual degree.

In fact, when I fought a wolf with tentacles, everything was as usual. Good. It was about to become a member of the reserve, along with «Clad in Madness».

"Isn't Princess' poison good if all you are after is experience?"

"She's the only producer we know of and considering the strength of the poison, won't it be too expensive?"

"And the experience earned is only for the base level and «Throwing». Isn't it inefficient?"

"What if its an event where the drops are rubbish but you are struggling to make progress?"

"That would be possible, but we haven't heard of anything like that so far."

"For newcomers, there are still bosses in the north, south, east and west. Maybe it would make it a little easier for them?"

What can I say..yeah. The verification team.

"This data is unique to Princess, so I'll give it to her and discard it."

"Let's put the rest on the wiki later."

"『It has been quite worthwhile.』"

I'll take my time and finish helping with the testing.

«Active Cells» affects restraints caused by bindings, becoming wet when exposed to water, freezing, and the duration of these effects. And we found that it affects the rate of defence reduction when you fall.

In other words, binding, wet, freezing, and falling have been moved under the new heading of special abnormal conditions, which are not automatically invalidated.

"Is limb loss also special?"

"That's because there are only a limited number of races that can get it in the first place."

"I'm one of them."

"It's outside the jurisdiction of immunity to abnormal conditions. Well, it's physically sent flying, right?"

"The special types in general are quite physical…"

"Knockback and imbalance are also effective, but since «Active Cells» has no effect on them, I'll leave them as they are."

"『No objection.』"

"If something other than «Active Cells» shows up, we'll test it again."

"『Right.』"

"Then, thanks for the hard work, Princess."

"Thanks for the hard work."

"『See you again!』"

I put my gear back on and return the robe. And then we split up. It was very meaningful.

I have to be careful with restraints. If there's freezing, there's probably petrification. I doubt freezing exists but not petrification.

It's almost impossible to avoid binding even while being careful. …In any case, even if it hits, it will be halved by «Active Cells» and further reduced by Eibon's [Anti-Spell], so the effect time is actually less than half.

If I'm to aim to be safe and secure, I should take some resistance skills. But, I don't know the conditions to unlock them…

Now, to hunt….or not, since time has slipped away.

Hmm….Then I'll move my real body until dinner. Alright, let's do that.

FLFO – Chapter 88 – Unwavering Will and the End of Malice

For the past few days… I have been reading about goblins in the south, on the BBS, so it seems like a defence battle is coming up.

Oh, for the best efficiency…perhaps I should complete the optimisation of the alchemy circle. The troublesome part is what to do about the large alchemy formation in the alchemy room. It’s too big to be copied onto paper.

Perhaps after finishing it, I should ask Dantel-san to make a cloth version of the alchemy formation? If it’s just for personal use, I could use [Magic Alchemy], but considering crafting time, it would be easier to use a cloth version…

No, if I want to have a cloth version made, I should take it to master first, and have her make the request. If I want word of it to spread, going through Master is best.

The optimisation for synthesis, refining, extraction and decomposition have been completed. These are the four in the alchemy kit.

Actually, the other arts, such as [Magic Stone Processing] and [Attribute Manipulation] that are learned in the second tier use the [Magic Alchemy] that was learned in the first. I may be able to alter this too.
[Magic Alchemy] creates an alchemy formation after specifying the deployment position, so the magic stones are then placed there. It’s even fine to place this formation in the air. Mysteriously, even the objects placed on it will float.
In other words, I shouldn’t place anything down after the deployment…. I’ll take a look at the formation instead. Hmm, yes, I can change this. The problem would be saving the changes. Change a part, then close it….oh, I can save the edited alchemy formation. So no magic paper is needed.
I have gotten used to it after making several changes. Blow away the characters that do not match with a flick, then add another character from the candidates with magic power.
There is a law behind it, so it is interesting, like a puzzle. Once the process is completed the formation will be more efficient, the magic power consumption will be reduced, and the quality of created items will be improved. And the difficulty of the magic power operation mini-game will also decrease. Very worth doing.
The hardest part is how difficult it is to acquire «Ancient Divine Linguistics». I wonder if there are other languages beside that of the Outer Ones. At least there should not be among humans.
Well, off to go see Master Megan. No, wait…. Hmm…. I’ll prepare four.

    First, to the church.

    “Good morning.”
    “Good day, is Sophie-san here?”
“Would you like me to call her?”
“Yes, please. I’d like to bring her to Megan-san’s.”
    “Please wait a moment.”

Sophie-san has come trotting over after a short wait.
I’ll hook her with promises of interesting things, then bring Sophie-san over to master’s shop.

    “Master~”
“You, is it. And you even brought Sophie.”
“She said she’d give me something nice…”
    “So you were lured in…”

    Well, Sophie-san is something of a researcher….

“Anyway, Master. Take a look at this.”
“This is….an alchemy kit, isn’t it?”
“I think the four types of alchemy formation have been optimised. I’m working on the [Magic Alchemy] formation at the moment.”
“You’ve really improved it? I’ll use it for a while, and if it’s okay, I’ll spread it around.”
“If it becomes a cloth version, please give one to me.”

Sophie looks interested, but it’s of no use to witches, who are on the «Mixing» side.
With this, the cloth version will also get made, so my main task is done.

“So, here’s what I’ll give to you both.”
    “”This is….””
“It’s mucus I can create, so it’s okay to study it, but be careful when handling it.”

I will give them each two bottles, containing the red-black substance.
I’m sure these two will not abuse it.

    “This is also….outrageous….”
“Outer One of the Goddess Stellura faith… very interesting…”

Yeah, she seems as pleased as I expected. I’ve finished my errands, so we’ll disband.
    Let’s have lunch.

Now, log in… But, what should I do? To the north is ore, magic plants to the northwest, to the west is…. tea, and to the south is Lana’s homeland.
North and northwest for alchemy. West for luxury items. South for curiosity.
Alright, I’m gonna aim for the Dinite Empire in the south. I can’t beat my curiosity.

First, take the portal to Inbamunt.
    Then walk to the port.
There seems to be a quest on the ship, but I am not going to care about that….I will fly!

Head due south at about 3 metres above sea level. Ignore the enemies, of course. It is apparently a fair distance, so speed is best.
If you fly too slowly, the flying enemies will gather, and if you fly too fast you are likely to crash and die in FOX4, so it is apparently very difficult to break through with flight, but I guess we’ll see?

Flying over the sea…. is quite a pleasant feeling. You can’t experience this kind of flight in real life. It’s the small things like this which make being an inhuman worthwhile.
Hahahaha, you can’t catch up with that speed.

Why did you stop in front of me…. oh… gruesome fireworks…..
    ….I’ll do better next time.

Ah, I was sent back without even the chance to revive. Well, it was quite a splatter. Can’t be helped. Eat up. No… it will disappear as if melting. «Unknown Organisation» is effective anyway, so even if you do eat it, you’ll die.
Flesh is separated from the meat mass of the main body, to generate an incarnation.
Okay, let’s go again. A revenge match. I’ve found it’s impossible to avoid at that speed. But if I can’t avoid them, I’ll make them avoid me.

The macros have been tweaked a little and «Dismantling» is disabled….And I’m flying out of the port again. This time much higher up. I have to go far enough that I won’t be seen from the ground, otherwise it will be disastrous.
And after getting far enough, activate «Clad in Madness».
As for the result, it’s very amusing.

First, as soon as an enemy spots me they are afflicted with abnormal conditions. Silence has no effect, but it’s the others that are important. If stunned, they fall. Fear makes them run away. With madness they fight amongst themselves. Instant death turns them to polygons.
Then, using a macro, knock down anything within range with a tentacle. Any enemies that can be attacked are being smacked around by the tentacles…
So, if I can’t avoid them, they can avoid me. The sea is already no worse than places I’ve been on land. The effect of abnormal conditions is good.

According to the BBS, head south of the Starting Town to Inbamunt. If you head three areas south from there, across the sea, you’ll find Posmunt, the gateway to the southern continent. Further south from Posmunt, you will arrive at the Imperial City, after passing another three towns.
I can go sightseeing after unlocking the portals. According to the BBS, the levels of the enemies drop back down after crossing the sea.

While looking at the map, I head straight to the capital of the Dinite Empire.
But it occurs to me, I can’t see any floating continents anywhere?
    How saddening….

Oh, I’ve arrived safely. Turn off «Clad in Madness» and head down to the ground. Just outside the north gate. I shouldn’t go down into the city. At least the first time, right? It will be teleporting from the second time, anyway.

    “Mu? Hm!?”
    “Good day. I’m an Outsider.”
“…..Certainly. Welcome to the Imperial City of the Dinite Empire.”

After showing my adventurer card I’m allowed inside.
The city is larger and has more Residents than the Starting Town, but there are still few players that have come here, so the population density is better.
The capital of the Dinite Empire has the coliseum after all. It’s not as new as the Nealence Kingdom, but the patrolling knights influence its atmosphere. The roads are quite large, and even if carriages pass each other, there is plenty of space.
Being an empire, it seems to be a military nation, but the town is neatly arranged. I get the impression that a large portion of the Residents are people who live in battle, such as adventurers. At least, there are many armed people in sight. However, judging by their equipment, there seem to be many newcomers, probably because the enemies nearby are weak, like those around the Starting Town.
Well, let’s open the portal first.

<The portal to the Imperial City of the Dinite Empire has been unlocked.>
<The portals of all major cities in the Dinite Empire are now unlocked.>
<Can be set as a resurrection point. Yes / No>

The resurrection point is of course a no, but wow….what’s with this number. Isn’t the Dinite Empire too big? No, but if you think of territories….this might be about the right size for a country. I think in most games….the northern continent would be equal to a single country.
Well, isn’t it good that it’s big? Where should I go and see. The enemies are the main concern. So probably a town on the edge.

“…You over there, do you have a minute?”

Ah, while thinking about my transfer destination, I seem to have made a patrolling group of three knights wary.
I quickly show them my adventurer card.

    “I’m an Outsider adventurer.”
“….Hmm, looks like it. Sorry. It’s fine to take your time.”

They’ve gone back into patrol mode.
This is troublesome, considering all the knights on patrol will catch me. It’ll take some time for the info to spread among them.
By the way, I think there was a useful feature added in the update…..?

    Automatic deactivation in safe areas.
Set a skill to be automatically disabled upon entering a safe area.

That’s it. Should I set it now?
I’ll add «Unknown Organisation» to it, but I wonder about «Sphere of Shaking Flesh». It’s a pain to get caught every time, but it’s also a landmark.
Oops, I got caught again. I can get free by flashing my adventurer card.
It might be easier to only turn it on when I go to the church… Let’s set it up. This will disable the effect.

The empire has enough manpower to patrol the capital, so it is probably quite safe. If it’s not, there’s no point in the patrolling knights.
For the time being…I’ll head to a town at the edge of the empire and go to the Adventurers’ Union.

The town…does not look to have any particular characteristics, as far as I can see.
Let’s see, the Union is…. over there. Let’s check out the requests.

<You have entered the event area.>
<Quest: “Unwavering Will and the End of Malice” has started.>

    Ehh? Eh?

    “By the way, where’s Liselotte-san?”
    “Mm? …I haven’t seen her.”

    I don’t know this Liselotte-san either.
There are other adventurers in the guild, but since the conversation between the two male adventurers is recorded in the log, this must be an important quest-related conversation.
The level of one of the adventurers is in the latter 50’s. He is armed with the orthodox one-handed sword and shield, and is tall and well-built. …His face is a bit scary.

“Well, she’s just short of S rank, so it’s probably okay.”
    “You think?”
“Probably out there helping people, like usual.”

….This seems to be the end of the key conversation.
Liselotte, an adventurer just shy of S rank, who likes to help people? Hasn’t been seen recently.
That looks like all the information to be gotten from the conversation.

Anyway, why did it suddenly start? Was it a suddenly occurring quest, or did I pass the conditions without knowing it? Since this is the first time I’ve been here, it’s probably the former….
So what is the quest about…..Hm? It’s associated with [Coffin of Dreams]….so it’s the latter! And a magnificent spoiler!
Liselotte-san is already dead, huh? Because it’s a casket. A skill for taking in a corpse and equipment, right?
Until now, I’ve only stored equipment in the [Coffin of Dreams] for use with [Ephemeral Radiance], but once I get the corpse, I can use [Ephemeral Doll].

    Where should I go next?

    “There’s serious trouble!”
    “What is it!”

    Oh, is it proceeding?

“Ah, Azlet-san! It’s Liselotte-san… Liselotte-san is rampaging at the west gate! If we don’t do something, people are going to die!”
“….Huh? She’s not someone who would do that.”
“But she’s really on a rampage! Hurry to the west gate!”
“It would be best to go see….let’s go!”

The person in the latter 50’s seems to be a Resident named Azlet.
The adventurers in the Union have all run out in a flurry.
I was wondering if I was going to find a corpse, but….I didn’t expect them to be rampaging at the gate.
I don’t think I can beat someone who is nearly S rank, but I don’t have the option of not going to see. I follow the adventurers who have left. On foot, to see what’s going on.
I can hear the sound of a battle…

    “…Kah….! What’s wrong with you!”
    “…………”

Liselotte-san looks very different from what I was imagining.
A charming appearance, with a violet side tail, red eyes and a tear-like mole by her left eye. The only problem is her expressionless face.
And above all…. she appears to be about 10 years old. A child like that is spinning around a two-handed axe, about as long as I am tall, and fighting against the 180cm tall Azlet-san.
Liselotte’s weapon, the two-handed axe, is very beautiful, with the colour of an unknown material, but…. her armour is tattered and the white fabric stained with blood.

“Damn it….! She’s obviously gone crazy, so we need to do something….”
“Lise! You became an adventurer to help people!”

This is….a race or job title, or could be both, but it tells me something about Liselotte-san’s condition. She’s already in a situation where her sanity is gone….
So, what now. I need to think of a solution while the adventurers have her under control.
Azlet and the two knights who are probably the gatekeepers are up front dealing with her, while the other adventurers are trying to figure out what to do.

    “…………”
“Damn! It’s a bigger swing than usual, but it’s so much stronger! Insanely strong!”
“Even when she’s not using her usual style. As expected of Liselotte..!”
“Everyone under C should stay away! What about the priests!?”
    “I’m going to the church!”

Unfortunately, the body is already dead.
But the soul is not separating from the body. Or rather, cannot leave it?

“Liselotte…. is it already no good….?”

The cause is a curse…I think. Not the abnormal condition kind of curse, but one with a black magic meaning. It’s probably a very powerful curse. Did the curse take possession of the body? Well, after rescuing the soul, I can take my time hearing about it in the Nether.
The biggest issue is how to separate the soul from the curse. ….As it is a quest related to the casket, I don’t want to damage the body or equipment.
The problem is she is far superior to me. A difference of 26 levels is a bit much.

    Liselotte? Lv68
She was almost sacrificed in a ritual as a child, but was rescued by knights during the ceremony.
Yet, the ritual definitely took effect.
While the ritual consumes her, she lives like the knights who saved her…
    However–
    Attribute: ? Weakness: ? Resistance: ?
    Condition: Unconscious, Undead, Cursed Soul

A black curse on a white but weakly shining soul.
Interference with the soul is forbidden, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. When the knights saved her, the culprits should have been taken care of. They should be seeing a literal hell in the Abyss.
The question is what to do with the Liselotte-san in front of me.

“Damn it! What the hell happened! She was a good person!”
    “I brought them!”
“You said she was rampaging….but this is….”

The priestess has come, but it’s impossible. I’d rather you didn’t try purifying. In this situation, the body will disappear before the soul. In the first place, that curse…. Half-hearted purification won’t work on it.
If I just want to complete the quest, cleansing is an option, but in terms of the coffin quest, it’s a failure.
At any rate, it’s necessary to separate the soul from the curse. But you need to be able to interfere with the soul to do that. Normally this is impossible, but fortunately my race and my position allow me to do so. Rather, it’s my main job.
    It’s finally time to use «Sword of Judgment», «Soul Hunter» and «Soul Chaser». It’s a bit of an intense use….but it should work.
The problem is that the target is too strong, but…. can’t they do something about that? With that decided, let’s give it a try while the adventurers are still helping out.

    “Arts!? Damn it! [Shield Bash]”
    “…………”
“You’re going to become someone who helps people like a knight!”
    “Uhh….”
    “Tch! Liselotte! Be careful!”

Oh, she has started to suffer, with her head in her hands. Is it an event due to elapsed time?

“Lise! What’s the matter, this isn’t like you!”
“Ugh… the village…. the people who destroyed it …I absolutely…..won’t do what you want….! I’ve lived my whole life to help people! I won’t let you rampage with my body….! Even if I lose my soul, I will….!”

Oh? This is definitely a showpiece!
    It’s going to become a battle, so I will enable «Sphere of Shaking Flesh». I’ll leave «Unknown Organisation» off.

“No. After death, the soul must be saved. That’s why there’s an Afterworld and that’s why I am here. I’ll do everything in my power to get you there.”
    “Wh-what?”
“I still don’t have the strength to fight her head on. Stop her movement. I will do the rest.”
“Black and white habit, blindfold and black hair….. Nemeseia-sama!”

The priestess seems to know about me. It seems to have spread even to the southern continent.

“By removing the soul from the body, we can detach the curse from the soul.”
“Remove the soul!? If you do that….!”
“Like this, even the soul will be eaten by the curse. The body is already dead and the soul is only barely shining.”
    “Nemeseia….. Lise’s soul….can you save it?”
“As long as I can touch the body.”
    “…..Understood. I’ll help. So please….”
“I’m sorry…..I’ll do my best to hold it back.”

Oh, is it an event where she is weakened by her rising consciousness? Or did you go down that route….. Well, it’s convenient either way.

“Priestess, can you call for help to cleanse the curse?”
    “Ye-yes! Right away!”

The four of us, myself, Azlet-san and the two knights, charge at Liselotte-san, who is clearly slower than before.
Honestly, I feel like we don’t have much time, so let’s do this quickly.
They hold the axe against the ground with shields and weapons, and I restrain her body with tentacles. With «Sword of Judgment», which does not harm the body, I cut through from left to right.
Since the body is already dead, the soul is easily caught by the sword and pulled out. Once it is, I grab the black thing that clings to the soul with my left hand, and while pulling it away, slash the connected part with the blade.
The soul and the curse have left the body, so it has fallen to the ground. The body is safely secured.
I have confirmed the black thing has been separated from Liselotte-san’s soul, so for now, cut the black stuff into pieces…. Oops, I throw the black thing away from where there is anyone else.

The black thing has gathered at a distance, in the air, and started to materialise.

“What….? Looking at that makes me feel sick…”
“It’s the power of the curse itself. I’ve already separated it from Liselotte-san. There’s no need to hesitate any longer. Let’s hit it with everything we’ve got.”
    “『Alright!』”

The adventurers who were frustrated at being unable to help also come to participate in the fight, to relieve their anger.
It seems to be classified as a spirit, and when attacked, it shrinks as if part of it is being cut away.

Then, once the church group arrived, it was erased with simultaneous blasts of purification.
Of course, I evacuated the body. That’s my reason for coming!

『Thank you very much. I really can’t thank you enough….』
“Don’t worry about that. May I take the body?”
    『My body…..?』
“I was wondering if you would allow me to use it with casket and necromancy.”
『Casket… Oh, I’ve heard of that. A good magician can use the body in the coffin as a base, and embody a summon?』
    “That’s the magic.”
『… I’ve always helped those I could. Can you promise you won’t use my body for bad things?』
    “Yes, I swear to Stellura-sama.”
『Then please make good use of it. By the way…. I like that weapon.』
    “Hmm…. I understand.”

Summon the [Coffin of Dreams], use [Washing] on the corpse, then lay it in the large coffin. The clothes have been changed to burial attire. I didn’t need to change the clothes. The tattered things she wore are stored in their relevant places.
By the way, there are no wounds on the body. Did the curse heal her? It’s good that it’s undamaged.
And when I place the two-handed axe used by Liselotte-san in the place for the weapon, it is recognised as a relic.

Both relics and burial items are, in short, items and equipment that strengthen the corpse. However, the relics are things that were loved during their life. The burial items are the equipment I prepared.
By the way, the big coffin is for [Ephemeral Doll]. The small coffin can be used for other summons with [Ephemeral Radiance]
The relics and bodies are like a set, so I expect some players to investigate it.
Liselotte-san seems to be a melee attacker, so she is just right for me. I have the floating fortress for a tank, and I’m a magic attacker.

“Now, Liselotte-san. I’ll see you in the Nether. Please explain this matter over there. I’m sure you wondering, but a pure soul is not visible to most people.”
    『I understand.』

After seeing off the soul, the quest has registered as complete. Good, good.

“Now I will go and hear her story, so if you are interested, please wait in the Adventurers’ Union.”
    “Alright. Appreciate it…..”
“The people of the church were also very helpful.”
“No, I’m glad we could be of use.”

Using the Silver Key, off to the Nether.
Liselotte-san is probably still lined up. As I’m an arbiter I should be able to let her in, but… Is it possible to hand her over to Lana? Her soul is white, so there is no problem with her becoming a resident of the Nether.
    Oh, there she is.

“Liselotte-san, we have an army in the Nether, but would you be interested in it?”
    “An army?”
“An army led by Svetlana, the great southern hero.”
    “Ah, that Svetlana!?”
“That’s right. Well, her main job is to keep the peace.”

She seems to be interested in both the army and Lana, so I’ll take her to the castle. I’ll make sure that Enma, who is in charge today, knows that I’m taking Liselotte-san with me. I’ll meet him when we go through the gate anyway.

    “Lana”.
    “Oh, Sire. Who is this?”
“This is Liselotte-san. A strong warrior who made it to level 68.”
“I-It’s an honour to meet you!”
    “She’s from the Dinite Empire.”
    “Hoho, I see.”

It’s going to be a long relationship anyway, so I’ll have her set aside her admiration for now so I can hear the explanation.

“Yes. This is going to be a long story…”

The remote village where she lived was attacked and she was kidnapped, when her age matched her appearance, and used as a sacrifice in a ritual ceremony.
She was saved by the knights during the ceremony, but the ritual was still activated.
While gradually fading, as the curse eroded her, she continued to work as an adventurer for the sake of others.
For just one thing. Like the knights who helped her, she wanted to be someone who could help others, so put all her will towards suppressing the curse.
However, with her spirit worn down, a gap was created and she was slain by a monster.
Then the curse was completely activated. Her damaged body was repaired, and she became a rampaging puppet that simply attacked anything in sight.

That is pretty much the summary of what I heard.
Apparently, trying to remove the curse was attempted, but it failed. Well, it was related to the soul.
By the way, her actual age is fairly high, but because of the curse, her growth had stopped.

“Such a thing. You have wonderfully strong will. You’re welcome here.”
“Then I’ll leave you to it. I’ll go explain to the adventurers.”
“Thank you very much. You saved me from killing anyone.”
“It’s our job to save souls. And from now on, yours too.”
    “Yes!”
“Oh, right. Then let me give you your first job. Lana. Go to the Abyss with Liselotte-san, and see if you can find the people responsible.”
“As you will. Then we will leave at once.”
“Please pass on your findings to the Chancellor or my maid.”

Now that she’s my subordinate, should I change the way I address her? I wonder if I should go with Lise or Lotte.
Well, Lana has gone to the Abyss with Liselotte-san, so I shall return to the surface. And to the Adventurers’ Union.

“Sorry to keep you waiting. I’ll explain everything now.”
    “Thank you.”

And I provide a summary of what I heard earlier.

    “…. I see. I….see”
“From now on, she will be part of the Nether’s army, working to maintain the peace.”
“I hope she gets along well! We’ll see each other again.”
“As long as you don’t follow a bad path and end up in the Abyss, I’m sure you can meet again.”

Moving between the Nether and Abyss is basically impossible for most.
I’ve finished my business, so I’ll check the quest….or before that, I’ll take a look at the [Coffin of Dreams]
I take an empty seat and bring up the information.

    Corpse level (Before death)
    Fledgling (Hero)

    Relic level (Before death)
    Fledgling (Legendary)

    Burial items level (Before death)
    Damaged (Hero)

Are the corpse level, relic level and burial item level roughly the same as the item rating? Well, I will figure it out as they level up.
What I can do is strengthen the corpse, strengthen the relic and strengthen the burial items. Since there is a distinction between the relic and the burial items, is the relic more important. Corpse > Relic > Burial items seems a good strengthening priority.
Strengthening…seems to require magic power. It seems that the needed magic power is obtained through magic stones or slaying magical creatures.
It seems like the damaged armour can be repaired, so I will fix it.

By the way, Liselotte-san was wearing a one-piece dress and corset coat with the shoulders bared. The coat is the type that doesn’t cover the front, but has a belt that fastens under the chest. She specialised in a two-handed weapon, so it would have been a hindrance if it had fluttered about too much.
The skirt stops above the knees, and the coat is long. The material of the coat is thick, so it would be considered light armour.
The colours are white and dark blue.

Now let’s try to use an orb.
Well, bring out the coffin…. and break the magic stone on it. Sorry. The coffin is rather large. It takes up a lot of space.
When I use the orb, it cracks and the leaking magic power is sucked into the casket.

    “What are you doing?”
“I’m checking the magic that can be used thanks to Liselotte-san. This is not very efficient….do I have to defeat magical creatures?”

I think it’s better to use raise the AI level with «Necromantic Secrets»
In terms of magic power… I’ll start with repairing the burial items. After that, raise everything one level…from fledgling to full-fledged.
She became a hero in her own lifetime, so I hope it was worth the effort. And her relic was legendary. Legendary might be better than hero. Without other information, it’s hard to tell which is better.
For the time being, I have repaired all the damaged equipment, and everything is now full-fledged.

    Oh, a message from Rina….

『Onee-chan, the defence battle is about to begin!』

    Seriously.
It’s a fairly low rank event, so it’s a good opportunity to test this out.
