I’m sure a lot of you didn’t notice the quick message I put on Discord about my situation, but I suddenly got appendicitis last Tuesday and was hospitalized until yesterday. Apparently, it got bad enough that my appendix ruptured, so that wasn’t a fun time. I still have 3 holes in my abdomen and have another appointment to get the staples removed this Friday. Things really don’t work out as you want them to, huh? It’s like one thing after another for me right now…
This hospital experience might’ve been the worst. Not like in terms of the doctors or nurses being bad, they were all friendly and great, it was more so, the hospital itself wasn’t really one of those high-end ones so it was pretty old-fashioned in some areas. I had to share the room with a couple of old people who kept getting fevers, so trying to rest in a room that was constantly 28C (83F) was hell. I was just constantly sweating and sleep was the hardest thing ever because of how uncomfortably hot it was. I had a random pneumonia scare so I almost had to stay there for the entire weekend, but thankfully, I recovered enough the day after that they confirmed I didn’t have pneumonia and discharged me.
In any case, I won’t say I’m good yet since I still do have these holes, but I’ll be getting back to translating. Thankfully, this entire upcoming week is a holiday for me, so I have plenty of time to rest…
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES. The first 2 days of having appendicitis are the worst.
