Chapter 1002: The Answer to the Questions

Chapter 1002 The Answer to the Questions

Looking at her past self suspended in the transparent “cocoon”, Franca’s mind buzzed with many thoughts, like boiling oatmeal.

What exactly is this place?

Is this Mr. Fool’s or the Celestial Worthy’s psychological trauma?

Was I like this, enclosed in a ‘cocoon’ hanging above the door of light, from losing my memory until completing the transmigration?”

Are the other ‘cocoons’ containing other members of the research society?

What do those three empty ‘cocoons’ represent?

Who hung us up?

This is very similar to a manifestation of the High-Sequence Seer pathway…

Did the Celestial Worthy do this?

So, is this Mr. Fool’s psychological trauma?

He…

Just as these thoughts flashed through Franca’s mind, behind the brilliant light gate, some of the gray fog dispersed, revealing a sphere.

It was a view of the planet from the moon, from space.

Franca then saw the northern and southern continents, the western continent covered in a layer of grayish-white mist, and the eastern continent sunk in darkness.

At the same time, a voice with a hint of solemnity echoed in her ears:

"This place has an ancient name, called…

"Chernobyl!”

"This place has an ancient name, called…

"Chernobyl!”

As the voice echoed, Franca stared blankly at the familiar yet strange planet in the depths of the gray fog, at the four continents—east, south, west, and north—which had changed somewhat but were still recognizable. She was as if struck by lightning.

Suddenly, she understood many questions, ones she couldn’t find answers to before or had avoided certain answers while seeking other explanations.

Why does this world also have 365 days in a year, with an extra day every four years…

Why does this world also have 24 hours in a day, 60 minutes in an hour, 60 seconds in a minute…

Why the human body structure in this world was identical to Earth’s, and corresponding relationships can be found in most elements…

Why was Mr. Fool’s dream a modern city…

Why was Mr. Fool’s marionette town called Utopia…

Why were Mr. Fool’s avatars called Gehrman Sparrow and Merlin Hermes…

Franca stared blankly at the strange yet familiar planet, at the four continents and dreamlike blue oceans in her memory. Salty, wet tears had unknowingly fallen down her face.

Her mind was telling her the answer, but her heart was refusing to accept it.

This world might just be Earth…

Franca’s vision was already blurred, but she dared not close her eyes, afraid to see those images that always appeared before her in midnight dreams.

Her heart burst with intense shock, sadness, and immense despair and pain, almost identical to the intense emotions pervading the current area, indistinguishable and seemingly merging:

Perhaps we never left, but we can never go back.

Trier, inside a luxurious villa.

In Franca’s room, Madam Judgment, Madam Magician, and Madam Justice had gathered by the bedside.

"She’s crying Madam Judgment, who had been observing Franca’s condition, suddenly said.

The corners of Franca’s eyes in her sleep had mysteriously become wet, with traces of tears extending to both sides, disappearing into her flaxen hair that had darkened considerably.

She seemed to be having an extremely sad dream.

At this moment, Madam Judgment and Madam Magician couldn’t quite understand why Two of Cups would silently cry while dreaming.

They had anticipated what changes might occur in Franca’s expression in reality, whether it be twisting in pain, exaggerated in madness, or falling into extreme pleasure, all of which were predictable possibilities.

But why would she cry?

And the tears shed were dominated by sadness and despair.

Could one of her companions have met with misfortune?

Madam Magician cast her gaze towards the other rooms, finding that Lumian, Jenna, Anthony, and Ludwig were all still alive, though the first two—one with an icy expression, the other unable to hide pain and urgency even in dreams.

"Aren’t you going to Placate her?” Madam Judgment asked Madam Justice, who was conducting a mental and psychological analysis.

Since the mental corruption and emotional impact experienced in the dream would reflect in reality, treating the corresponding psychological issues and mental illnesses in reality would also truly affect the person in the dream.

In a dream constructed with spirit and psychology at its core, the inside and outside were indistinguishable in this aspect, blending truth and falsehood.

Madam Justice’s emerald eyes showed a thoughtful expression. “Two of Cups’s current emotions harbor immense despair, which is also a manifestation of her true state.

"And what she needs right now is precisely despair, extreme despair.”

Hearing these words, Madam Magician couldn’t help but turn her head to look at the night sky to the east.

She said in a low voice, “Yes, Two of Cups has already forcibly advanced by leveraging the uniqueness of the dream. What she needs most now is despair, intense and immense despair.

"This can help her quickly digest the potion.

"I’m not sure exactly what she’s seeing or experiencing now, but from the current situation, the ‘making oneself despair’ part should be enough. Later, we need to find an opportunity to ‘make others despair’.”

Madam Justice nodded slightly and said, “Once Two of Cups’s current despair subsides somewhat, I’ll provide psychological treatment.

"Now, she might need other help.”

As this Major Arcana card holder wearing a green dress with white patterns spoke, Madam Magician half-opened her arms.

In front of her, points of starlight gathered, condensing into an illusory but brilliant double door.

This door slowly opened, revealing a thin layer of grayish-white fog inside.

That represented the dream city.

As an Angel of the Door pathway, Madam Magician had no problem opening a door and forcibly entering Mr. Fool’s dream if she really wanted to.

Of course, whether such a forceful entry would result in her being instantly observed, losing control, or unknowingly becoming a marionette of the Celestial Worthy remained unknown.

In this matter, the unknown referred to which of the two outcomes would occur, not whether these two outcomes would appear.

According to Madam Magician’s astromancy results, there was only a very small chance that she would encounter nothing, and this was based on Mr. Fool having a certain advantage or the two great existences happening to be in a phase of intense mutual combat.

What she was about to do was certainly not to barge in and rescue Franca, but to open such a door, establish the corresponding channel, and assist Madam Justice, who was a Dreamweaver.

Originally, Madam Justice could only monitor changes in part of the dream situation, and that was in a vague perceptual way. With such a door, she could directly exert some influence on certain areas of the dream or corresponding characters.

In this situation, she, who had been kicked out of the dream three times, couldn’t do much, but what they wanted to convey to Franca was just a brief sentence.

As the door to the dream city opened, Madam Justice closed her emerald eyes that seemed able to reflect the human soul, raised her right hand, and began to sketch dreamlike, unreal symbols in the air.

Mushu Hospital, B2, edge of the elevator lobby.

Lumian, gazing at the illusory dark abyss, inhaling the faintly sweet and warm dark fragrance, enduring the agitation in his bone marrow and desires, feeling as if his entire being was about to ignite, entered a state of ethereal quietude.

His mind and thoughts gradually dispersed, becoming increasingly numb to the passage of time.

Finally, he “saw” a fog tinged with a dark hue, feeling as if he was walking through such a fog.

Just like before, he saw the outlines of various buildings, saw things similar to trains running on blurry streets, saw ladies with round fans covering their faces riding in human-pulled canopied two-wheeled carts approaching him.

He flew up, flew towards the depths of the dense fog, flew towards somewhere in this strange city.

There remained a peculiar high tower that was only a shadow, with indescribable gloom and terror emanating from the bottom of the tower.

Lumian, suppressing the fear in his heart and the trembling of his body, descended, entered the tower, and headed straight for the bottom.

He then saw an ancient well melding into the darkness, saw that the four walls of the ancient well were built with moss-covered stone blocks, saw iron-black chains locked onto the stone blocks, hanging down into the depths of the ancient well.

These chains had numerous reliefs on their surface, but they were blurry, making it difficult for Lumian to discern.

Unable to control himself, Lumian stuck out his head, trying to look towards the bottom of the ancient well.

What met his eyes was a dense, eerie blood-red color.

It seemed to be formed by an unknown amount of blood.

Next, Lumian smelled a fishy odor mixed with a sense of rust.

He bewilderedly turned his gaze to his nose, finding that blood had somehow already flowed from his nostrils, like real blood.

Suddenly, Lumian’s peripheral vision caught his own head and face reflected clearly in the blood-colored well water.

The palm of his right hand instantly became scorching hot, with a manic and violent aura surging out like a flood.

This was blocked by a cold and deathly stillness.

Outside the spiritual secret deed process, Lumian on B2 of Mushu Hospital, his body visibly trembled.

His hair floated up, his face sometimes the stunning Lumina, sometimes the more handsome security guard Li Ming, his chest sometimes swelling, sometimes flattening, his aura sometimes feminine and seductive, sometimes masculine and violent…

He kept switching between these two states, and if he lacked either one, his body might not be able to withstand it, quickly collapsing and becoming an out-of-control monster.

Lumian at the edge of the ancient well sensed a terrifying will that could destroy everything, feeling It casting Its gaze from the depths of the ancient well, observing him.

Even with the ability of an Ascetic, even while forcibly controlling himself, Lumian couldn’t help but break away from the secret deed ritual and open his eyes.

His right palm was still stinging, more intensely than ever before, his eyes a deep black, a black so deep that not even death existed within it, devoid of any life.

Before him, in that void of dark abyss, a vortex suddenly appeared, spiraling towards the bottom.

My theory for the latest developments: I smell Adam's hand in this. He even "rewarded" Franca with digestion. Audrey's gaze to the east makes it likely. Lumians experience is definitely a setup, necessary for a later time. It was a bit too coincidental.

    (133) Chapter 1017: Child

Omebella? Is she also called Omebella?

Was the mysterious child that Madam Pualis nurtured in Cordu Village called Omebella? Was the empty cradle meant for Omebella?

At that moment, Lumian felt as if struck by lightning.

Previously, Madam Magician joked that as long as the director of the Mushu Hospital wasn’t named Omebella, it wouldn’t matter. Back then, Lumian thought it was just a terrifying story, and even if the director was truly named Omebella, it didn’t seem like it would matter to him. Surely, others would have more reason to worry. However, when he heard that Madam Pualis’ child was named Omebella, a chill ran down his spine.

If Madam Pualis had simply become the director of the Mushu Hospital, and if she had simply given birth to a mysterious child that exhibited strange behavior in Cordu Village, Lumian wouldn’t have been so frightened. All of it would have seemed out of the ordinary but reasonable.

But that child’s name was Omebella. Madam Pualis had conceived and given birth to a mysterious child in Cordu Village, also named Omebella.

If Madam Pualis wasn’t lying, and if that child was truly the Omebella Lumian knew, wouldn’t that mean he had once lived with the real Omebella in Cordu Village? And later, he killed another, unborn Omebella, through whose umbilical remnants he absorbed Omebella’s bloodline, connecting with the earliest Omebella’s corpse and matters associated with her!

Wasn’t this all set in motion from the moment he consumed Omebella’s umbilical remains? Or had it been laid out from the Cordu Village incident long before?

In that moment, Lumian felt transported back to one of his wandering memories: hiding in a corner, watching a thick, slick, terrifying viper slither slowly past him. He dared not move a muscle, sensing the cold, damp creature winding its way across his body, gradually wrapping itself around him.

If Madam Pualis had given birth to Omebella in Cordu Village, then who was the child in Father Montserrat’s womb that he had killed?

Who was the source of the umbilical remains that allowed him to connect with Omebella’s corpse? And why did the mindless mother mistakenly take him as the Child of God Omebella?

In the depths of the Underworld, who was the entity that the ancient God’s bones nurtured as an egg, responding to the call of Omebella?

Moreover, why did the Great Mother’s followers want to guide him into becoming the true Child of God, turning him into the real Omebella? But wasn’t Omebella already born?

    What was really going on?

Which part was true, and which was false? Was it all false? Or all true?

Lumian’s gaze was fixed on the child in Madam Pualis’ arms, her chubby, rosy cheeks soft and delicate, adorably fragile.

“So, she is Omebella, then. Who is her father?”

Although his mind was boiling like a kettle, bubbling over with thoughts, Lumian kept a calm and indifferent appearance.

That was the basic training of a "Hunter," and he also had the endurance of an "Ascetic."

    Madam Pualis suddenly smiled.

“If I told you it was you or Aurore, would you believe it?”

“Don’t joke, damn. We never even touched each other,” Lumian responded, unwavering.

“True, I regret that as well,” Madam Pualis sighed. “Her mother is me, but also the ‘Great Mother,’ and as for her father, well, on the surface it’s the village priest, but it’s someone entirely different.”

Someone entirely different… Lumian was about to mentally eliminate the villagers of Cordu one by one when suddenly, heavy footsteps echoed behind him.

Half-turning, he saw Li Keji, with his mushroom-shaped head resembling a massive fungus, appear in the dimly lit hallway.

At that moment, Madam Pualis’ smile faded slightly, and she spoke with a detached tone.

    “Come, the child needs you.”

As she spoke, the baby in the swaddling cloth began to cry loudly.

Hearing the piercing cry, Lumian’s body instinctively, without any control, moved toward Madam Pualis and the infant Omebella.

It was like two magnets, irresistibly drawn to each other. Lumian suddenly understood:

Madam Pualis intended to use his body, infused with Omebella’s bloodline, for something!

After what happened last night, Li Keji was quickly transferred to Mushu Hospital for treatment, not only because Celestial Worthy wanted to quash this potential disaster and the "Great Mother" sought balance, but also because Madam Pualis intended to draw him in!

Last night, he had refused to seek help from the "Great Mother" to become the true Child of God. So, had the "Great Mother" and Celestial Worthy reached a temporary understanding?

Without hesitation, Lumian activated the black mark on his right shoulder, attempting to "teleport" away.

His figure disappeared from the director’s office but did not reappear at the entrance of the Dream City Police Station.

He found himself in a wilderness.

In the distance stood a towering oak tree, seemingly connecting the sky and the earth, with its top piercing into the clouds.

Lumian noticed that the massive oak was scarred with burns from lightning strikes, and its bark, mixed with traces of life, concealed vitality.

His gaze followed the intricate patterns on the bark upward, and near the top, he saw a new branch growing.

It sprouted stubbornly from the charred section, entwined with fresh, green shoots, thriving on the oak’s vitality.

At that moment, the new branch, along with the oak it grew from, was held by a small, chubby white hand—the hand of the infant Omebella, wrapped in swaddling cloth.

She was adorned with a laurel crown, now dressed in a fresh green gown, her lower body in the form of a giant bird, while her back sprouted brown wings. She was cradled in Madam Pualis’ arms.

“Come, the child needs you!” Madam Pualis’ voice echoed across the wilderness, as Li Keji, now transformed into a mushroom-like monster, appeared at the edge of the plain.

Lumian tried to "teleport" away again but failed, immediately throwing a mirror, attempting to escape through the mirror world.

A second later, the surface of the mirror came alive, squirming like a mouth leading to darkness.

Without hesitation, Lumian abandoned the mirror, letting it fall to the ground.

    Crash!

The mirror shattered into countless shards, each piece covered in mercury, struggling to crawl away.

Lumian snorted, as calm black flames erupted from within him. The flames were soon covered by a thick layer of frost, as if preparing to craft a coffin for a deep sleep.

Soon, the area around him was flooded with invisible spider silk that withdrew as it pleased, layer upon layer wrapping around in frost, preparing to form a giant cocoon.

This was the Demoness most powerful defensive method, capable of dispelling curses and negative effects, while also resisting substantial damage.

Lumian’s plan was to use this ability to buy time, either to leave the Dreamscape proactively or to light the candle made from corpse oil to complete the secret pact ritual.

However, before the spider cocoon could take shape, the Demoness black flames seemed to ignite with life, burning intensely on Lumian’s intuition. The ice layer, which should have provided defense, started to restrict his movements.

    They had all become activated!

Lumian quickly triggered the black mark on his right shoulder.

He teleported far away from the giant humanoid mushroom at the edge of the wilderness, escaping from the influence of the Demoness black flames and layers of frost.

    — Although he couldn’t teleport out of this wilderness, he was still able to "flash" around within it.

    "Come, child, you’re needed!"

As he heard Madam Pualis's voice, Lumian dashed a few steps toward the giant oak tree that supported the sky.

No, in this pre-designed battlefield, in the world of Paramita, in front of the child Omebella, even though everyone was suppressed to the 7 Sequence level, I am still extremely effectively countered and can’t hold out for too long. Should I chant the honorific name of Madam Magician or recite the blasphemous incantation Leodero? No, I probably only have one chance to chant an honorific name, and Leodero may not necessarily be able to break the giant oak tree’s seal on the Paramita... If it’s coming to an end, let's go big, and we'll all go down together!

While thinking, Lumian reached into his Traveler's Bag, gripping the shard of the mirror from the special world.

Then, he once again opened a "Teleportation," using it to resist the invisible pull and bizarre activation abilities of the child Omebella.

After flashing to the next position, Lumian opened his mouth and quickly recited in ancient Hermes:

    "Great Door of All Doors”

What Lumian wanted to invoke was the honorable name of Yagates, Mr. Door, hoping to attract his gaze!

This represented the force maintaining the subconscious order of the Dreamscape.

Although this might result in Lumian being permanently ejected from the Dreamscape, Madam Pualis, the mushroom-transformed Li Keji, and the child Omebella would all be unable to "stay" in the dream city any longer!

This would clear the way for Jenna, Franca, and the others to act without lingering dangers.

After chanting the first part of the honorable name, Lumian teleported to another part of the wilderness, evading the attacks from Madam Pualis and Li Keji.

    “Guide of Endless Cosmos”

As Lumian finished the second part of the chant, he once again disappeared from his spot.

Seeing this, Madam Pualis opened her mouth, about to unleash the Banshee Howl.

At that moment, a male version of Lumian appeared in the wilderness.

He was a weak reflection created by the mirror fragment from the special world.

Spreading his arms wide, he shouted in ancient Hermes:

    "Leodero!"

This voice and the Banshee Howl erupted simultaneously. The reflected version shattered under the sonic wave's impact, and the area above darkened.

In that darkness, thick clouds formed, and countless silver-white lightning serpents emerged, creating a colossal thunderbolt that struck the giant oak tree holding up the sky.

    Crack!

A large amount of small silver-white lightning serpents slithered across the oak's surface, leaving scorched black marks. However, it did not fully die, continuing to regenerate.

This impact briefly paralyzed Madam Pualis and the child Omebella.

Crack, the "Mirror Substitute" shattered under the combined influence of the Banshee Howl and the spreading lightning. Lumian appeared not far from Li Keji and chanted the third part of the honorific name:

    “Key to all Mysterious Worlds”

I don't know what "They” want, but Lumian realized that Amon-driver can't help. It's not exactly Amon, but the uniqueness of the Error, since the uniqueness has the spiritual imprint of Amon. Klein did not adapt the uniqueness of the Error and the Door, so I'm not sure that they do not have a problem related to CW.

LOTM Book 2 - COI Backgrounds and Settings (1)

Posted by Cuttlefish as bonus releases on October 4th due to ticket ranking

[and as he stated himself, it is regrettable that due to the amount of sequences, he won't be able to fully showcase all OD pathways in book 2, so he opted to release some of them as settings, hopefully this is not the only one that he will release. There may be more after the book ends]

Currently this is a fan translation, I think there will be an official release in the future.

Title: ||The Pathway of the Outer Deity - Monarch of Decay (Second Law Pathway)||

    - Sequence 9 Patient (also known as Ulcerated Patient) - Their bodily fluids carry pathogens and spread through direct contact. They can actively creates ulcerous wounds on themselves to release pathogens, infecting enemies in a small area without direct contact. Their physical attributes are greatly enhanced to resist the erosion of disease on themselves.

    - Sequence 8 Secretary - Their ability revolves around the concept of Bureaucracy.

    - Sequence 7 Borer (also known as The Corrupted) [TL note: like a parasite of society, within a bureaucratic system, that slowly rots a system/structure from the inside, another example are those worms that eats the wooden bottom of old wooden ships] Cuttlefish gave no other information other than the sequence name.

    - Sequence 6 Envoy of Diseases - Compared to the Demoness' infectious diseases that show symptoms similar to influenza, this is more akin to various personal diseases, illnesses that one contracts due to unhealthy lifestyle, with powers that induce conditions including but not limited to degradation/corruption, obesity, and laziness.

    - Sequence 5 Child of Rot – Beyond the power of decay, they are also the avatar/embodiment of the concept of "pathogens." Compared to the Demoness’ infectious diseases, this sequence represents a greater degree of personal diseases with more varieties and intensity than the Envoy of Diseases.

    - Sequence 4 The Deathbound - Has the ability to apply insta-kill effect to their attacks when conditions are met, as well as the ability to make attacks unmissable.
[TL Note: Sequence's literal translation is "one who will 100% die", the inevitability of mortality.]

    - Sequence 3 The Left-Hand of Decay [TL Note: Maybe we can call it "Confidant of Decay" or something]

    - Sequence 2 Time Giant

    - Sequence 1 The God of Senescence

    - Sequence 0 Second Law - The conceptual representation of the Second Law of Thermodynamics, The conceptual representation of Ragnarök

    Above the Sequence
    The Inevitable Decay of All Things;
    The Endpoint of the River of Time;
    The Master of Rot and Decay;
    The Irreversible Entropy.

    (132) Chapter 1016: Mushroom Monster

Lumian glanced at Li Keji and calmly asked, "What is the point?"

    "What success?"

With a beard bristling and clad in a patient's green-striped uniform, Li Keji spread his arms and excitedly exclaimed:

"The point is that only a mother can bring new life, and only new life can cure your vegetative friend!"

As soon as Li Keji finished speaking, he saw a black iron sword slashing toward him from a distance. The sword was burning with crimson flames and spinning mid-air, turning into a mad, oppressive black force.

Before Li Keji could finish his first sentence, Lumian, without hesitation, drew the "Sword of Courage" from his "Traveler’s Bag."

He slashed at the mushroom growing from Li Keji’s chest, entangled with bloody mushrooms forming a womb around his abdomen. He also transformed the usual flames into the "Fire of Destruction."

Only this fire could truly burn and kill the "Great King of Mushrooms" Li Keji, who had the unique recognition of Mr. Fool and the "New Life" power of the Great Mother. It prevented him from being reborn from the ashes!

Just as the Fire of Destructions were about to strike Li Keji, the hospital room suddenly disappeared, replaced by a wild, overgrown meadow of deep green weeds.

    Li Keji vanished.

The "Fire of Destruction" landed on the wilderness of the distant shore, carving a long trench. Nothing could grow within an inch of that trench.

Moments later, Lumian saw the soil in the distance loosen, and a giant mushroom covered with dark red veins suddenly emerged from the ground, towering like a massive tree toward the sky.

Its thick, branch-like mycelium was white with scattered blood-red spots. The mushroom cap had transformed into a colossal version of Li Keji, bearded and wild. Its "chest" was large and swollen, exuding a milky liquid. Its abdomen was covered by a translucent membrane, beneath which a fleshy mushroom, shaped like a jellyfish, seemed to be gestating.

Seeing this, Lumian’s skin sprouted tiny, dense cracks, as if he had been lightly corrupted.

At the same time, he felt his life force irresistibly flowing toward the giant mushroom. The surrounding green weeds on the wild plain all bowed toward Li Keji, gradually turning yellow.

Li Keji, filled with intense enthusiasm, said fervently, "If you want new life, your current life isn’t enough. Give me all your life, will you?"

By now, Lumian’s eyes had turned a black iron color, and he located the weak point on the giant mushroom’s body.

He immediately "teleported" to Li Keji's side, thrusting the "Sword of Courage" engulfed in Fire of Destructions toward the giant mushroom’s abdomen.

Several branch-like mycelium strands swung over, forming a dense web that blocked the black iron sword.

They were suddenly set ablaze, quickly turning to ash as the black flames spread. The giant mushroom trembled violently, severing the already burning mycelium from its main body.

The severed mycelium fell to the ground, unable to affect the giant mushroom’s body. Lumian followed through with his strike, slashing downward.

Blazing black fireballs erupted, exploding in quick succession. Boom!

A furious shockwave, filled with Fire of Destructions, surged in all directions, engulfing the giant mushroom that Li Keji had turned into, and also enveloping Lumian himself.

Lumian activated the black mark on his right shoulder just in time, teleporting outside the explosion’s range. A second later, he saw the giant mushroom engulfed in flames, swaying precariously within the shockwave.

Before Lumian could launch another attack, the giant mushroom seemed to be shedding its skin, discarding all the burning parts of its body to prevent the fire from reaching the mushroom cap, the womb, or the "child" inside.

In a flash, a massive amount of ash scattered as the giant mushroom revealed its bare flesh. Thick muscles, intertwined with dark red veins, wriggled deep within its body, oozing milky white liquid.

These parts wriggled and regenerated rapidly.

With no hostility, the mushroom cap in the form of Li Keji gleefully said to Lumian, "Look, this is the final product."

"Join us, and together we’ll achieve new life!"

As Li Keji spoke, Lumian took out a mirror, reflecting the severed mycelium and the outer layer of the giant mushroom.

Then, he covered his hand with the destructive black fire and wiped it across the surface. "Demoness Curse!"

Using the Demoness Black Flame to complete the curse!

The giant mushroom suddenly shuddered, as all its blood, flesh, and liquids recoiled inward, wrapping its entire body and Li Keji’s mushroom cap into a bloody sphere.

On the surface of the sphere, tiny mushroom buds stubbornly sprouted.

At that moment, the black flames erupted from the inside out, engulfing the entire bloody sphere.

The tiny mushrooms fell silent, while the layers of flesh continued to turn to ash.

As the bloody sphere convulsed violently, a side suddenly split open, ejecting a fresh, wet mushroom.

This new mushroom resembled the previous giant one, still using Li Keji’s head as the mushroom cap, still with thick mycelium hanging down like branches, still exuding milk from its swollen chest, and still with a membrane-covered womb containing a newly gestating life. The only difference was that it was smaller, as though it had shrunk by a full size.

Covered in a greasy, dark gray membrane, the new mushroom used its mother’s force to eject itself, quickly escaping the burning zone of the Black Flame.

    "New life!"

Li Keji took advantage of this "new life" to sever the connection between himself and the "Demoness’s Curse!"

Is there a way to break free from the curse? Lumian’s life force was still rapidly draining as his mind tensed. His eyes continued to follow the spores scattering from the airborne, newly sprouted mushroom.

His eyes quickly turned silver-gray with black streaks.

He was about to use the "Eye of Calamity" to search for the black thread of fate connected to Li Keji, hoping to destroy this "new life" and completely annihilate the mushroom monster before him.

As Lumian’s eyes reflected the silver river of symbols from the complex markings, he suddenly felt an itch on his skin.

Instinctively lowering his gaze, he saw that the small bumps on his skin had grown larger, taking on a blooming appearance, as if tiny mushrooms were sprouting all over his body.

He had been corrupted by exploring Li Keji’s river of fate!

Lumian’s body was suddenly engulfed in a strange, eerie silence by the Demoness black flames, which silently devoured the rapidly forming dense cluster of mushrooms.

Enduring the pain, Lumian "teleported" to the boundary of this World.

He wanted to try and see if he could bring Li Keji to the police station, using the government's forces and the power of the Dreamscape's collective consciousness to cleanse this monstrous mushroom.

This World did not stop Lumian, allowing him to pass through.

What greeted Lumian’s eyes was not the psychiatric ward of Mushu Hospital, but a spacious, quiet room, partially curtained, with a desk, a bookshelf, and a sofa set.

Lumian was standing at the entrance of the room.

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed that the door of the room was half-open, with a prominent nameplate embedded on it. On the nameplate were five local Dreamscape characters:

    ***

    “Office of the Director.”

The Director's office? Lumian's tension heightened even more, and instinctively, he cast his gaze toward the desk at the back.

There was an armchair made of leather, and sitting in it was a figure.

The figure was clad in a white doctor's coat, with slightly pale eyebrows, bright brown eyes that smiled, and long brown hair tied up in a bun. Her facial features were clean yet enchanting, and her demeanor was somewhat elegant. In her arms, she held a chubby baby wrapped in a swaddle.

Lumian was momentarily stunned. He recognized this person.

She was one of the few remaining living residents of Cordu village, and she was Madam Pualis!

    Pualis de Roquefort.

As Lumian's thoughts raced, he did not immediately "teleport" away but instead looked at Madam Pualis, who was sitting behind the desk holding the adorable baby, and smiled as he said:

“So, the new director of Mushu Hospital is you. What a delightful surprise.”

While saying this, Lumian thought of Church of the Earth Mother - Archbishop Roland, who was only the deputy director of Mushu Hospital, and yet Madam Pualis could assume the position of director.

What does this imply or signify?

Has Madam Pualis become stronger, or is she a high-ranking subordinate of the "Great Mother" path?

Madam Pualis looked at Lumian, who wore a mask and sunglasses, and smiled as she said:

“I was equally surprised to find you here.

“Moreover, you have a part of Aurore on you, which makes it doubly surprising.

“Recently, I learned a saying, 'The joys of life are meeting an old friend in a foreign land and the bridal chamber on the wedding night.' Our situation fits the first part.

“Why don’t you take off your sunglasses and mask, so I can have a good look at you? Then, on our wedding night, we can work together to bring Aurore to life.”

Is this what you “Great Mother” followers discuss when you meet? Lumian felt neither anger nor irritation at Madam Pualis' words.

If something can't be stopped, the only thing left to do is remain calm, much like how the secret ritual brought dangerous power, leading to the residual breath of the Blood Emperor and the transformation of the fragmented souls of Cordu’s villagers into soldiers.

Following Madam Pualis' words, Lumian removed his sunglasses and mask, revealing his beautiful face with a cold smile.

If I don’t reveal my true face, how can I “charm” better?

If I don’t “charm” better, how can I create a better opportunity to escape?

While keeping an eye out for Li Keji, who had transformed into a mushroom monster, Lumian looked at the baby angel in Madam Pualis' arms:

    “Is she your child?”

“Yes,” Madam Pualis' gaze lingered on Lumian's face as she smiled and nodded. Lumian instantly recalled the empty cradle in the ruins of Cordu village and casually asked:

    “What’s her name?”

Madam Pualis smiled and replied, “Omebella.”

The question isn`t about the chapter.

If the main story ends at the end of second book, why is it called Circle of Inevitability? It was clear from the start that the title had a deeper meaning than just the Outer God, but with the latest news, it takes on a new meaning. The only cycle I can see right now is the Original Creator (Being the aggregation of all contradictory concepts, “He” naturally has an uncontrollable tendency to split, and once “He” splits, there will be a stronger urge for convergence) or the Inevitability of the Apocalypse? I wonder what the Cuttlefish meant

I think, that it is quite a good name for final book, if Cf wants to end all story with tragic scene, where everyone dies and Original creator reborn and spits to start new era without any evil gods. But this is quite sad ending.
So I think, inevitability in title is inevitability of apocalypse and madness, because this is truth behind this world.
The idea beyween this concepts is an idea of apocalypse and final dying of all beyonder powers in this world. Maybe this book will end with creating of the 4 pillar by evernight?

Klein deserved a normal life after all. He was always chasing something: to return to his world, revenge, saving the world. Damn, he couldn't even look at women, even though he liked them. Cuttlefish, give our boy a quiet life and a woman (Audrey), he always wanted to be he, not "He" (God).

Klein didn't really have a choice. In the beginning, he was practically forced to become a legal otherworldly. Klein understood that having something (Sephira), he wouldn't be able to live a normal life. Having become an otherworldly - there is no way back. Then comes his revenge and saving the world, to avoid the death of loved ones and others. He could wait and hope for Adam, Amanis or others, but if he stopped, Sephira would be taken away, and he would most likely be killed (don't believe Amon when he said that he would just let him go). And given his character, he would not be able to trust his loved ones to others

You mix emotions with cold calculation. He had the opportunity to leave everything behind. He could disband the Tarot Club and his Church. There is always a way out. At this stage, he had a desire to “complicate” his life. There is no need to make him into a savior. Or an unfortunate abandoned one. Adam and Amanis, Roselle and the people thrown out of the Castle of Sephira, they had the same as he did. Everyone resigned themselves to their fate.

    (131) Chapter 1015: Treatment

After circling the main building and seeing the small independent psychiatric ward, Lumian’s phone vibrated slightly.

It was a message from Franca on WeChat:

“I’ve arrived near the Mushu hospital, the car is parked diagonally across the street.”

“Okay, I’m about to enter the psychiatric ward,” Lumian responded using voice input. Immediately after, he put his phone on airplane mode to prevent any interruptions or unexpected accidents during the operation.

He then activated the contract mark under his left shoulder, transforming himself into a shadow creature.

At this moment, Lumian didn’t know which room in the psychiatric ward Li Keji was being held in, so he couldn’t "teleport" directly. He needed to search around, and “Shadow Transformation” was much more hidden and less likely to be discovered than Stealth of Assassin.

His body quickly thinned and turned black, merging with his shadow created by the sunlight, becoming one with the cement ground.

He swiftly moved, using the shadows of walls, trees, and hallways to sneak into the psychiatric ward, getting close to the nearest room.

"Ha ha, ha ha." The patient inside was laughing uncontrollably, bending over with laughter, tears streaming from their eyes.

For some reason, Lumian also felt a strong urge to laugh hysterically, as if he were infected by the patient’s emotions.

He took a quick glance at the patient and, confirming that it wasn’t Li Keji, immediately withdrew from the room’s shadow.

As soon as he returned to the hallway, he quickly regained his composure.

Without wasting any time, he entered the next room.

Suddenly, he felt a bold impulse, wanting to rush out from the shadows and confront the nurse’s station, demanding they hand over Li Keji.

In his ears, a loud voice echoed: "I’m not crazy! I’m not crazy!"

"Careful planning can handle most situations, but it can’t solve every problem."

"When it's time to take risks, you still have to take risks!"

Lumian roughly identified who the patient in the room was and quietly retreated to the hallway.

He moved swiftly through the various shadowy objects and into another room.

In this room, he saw a patient tied to the bed, lying still as if they were a statue. A wave of sadness and despair surged in Lumian’s heart. He felt like going mad, wanting to destroy everything.

But he maintained his sanity and didn’t stay long in the room.

Returning to the hallway, Lumian carefully reflected on what he had just experienced: "As soon as I enter the rooms, I get infected by the corresponding mental illnesses?"

"Mental illness becomes contagious. This is similar to the sealed humanoid object I encountered before..."

"I get it now, this place is essentially a dreamscape, and the psychiatric patients here represent symbols."

"They symbolize the negative subconscious aspects of the dreamscape—madness, extreme emotions, and irrationality. And since dreams are fundamentally a connection between spirits, being close to them means being affected by them."

"Why are the doctors and nurses here still normal?"

"Perhaps they symbolize the forces that suppress madness and extreme emotions in the subconscious?"

"From this perspective, suppressing insanity and extreme emotions could also be infectious, which is why doctors or nurses sometimes go mad?"

"Hmm, the doctors, nurses, medications, and treatment tools here must be used to deal with the madness and extreme emotions of the dreamscape itself, representing the corresponding suppressive forces..."

Lumian glanced at a nearby treatment cart, looking at the syringes and medicines displayed on it.

He sensed that under special circumstances, these items might be more effective than the healing potions he and his companions carried.

They were part of the power of the dreamscape.

Understanding the particularities of the psychiatric ward, Lumian, still in shadow form, moved even faster, only taking quick glances into each room to avoid getting infected by the patients’ emotions.

However, he couldn’t find Li Keji, nor did he see any mushrooms.

Not in the psychiatric ward? Lumian quickly left the area and headed toward a gated corner, re-entering under the guise of visiting a patient and approaching the nurse’s station again.

Wearing sunglasses and a mask, he told the nurse on duty, "I’m here to visit Li Keji."

"Wait a moment, the patient has been taken for treatment and hasn’t returned to the room yet," the nurse replied after looking up at Lumian.

"Where was he taken for treatment?" Lumian suddenly had a bad feeling. The nurse explained briefly:

"To the basement of the main building, where there are specialized large-scale devices."

The basement of the main building... Lumian nodded, turned around, and left the psychiatric ward.

On his way to the main building of Mushu hospital, he restored his phone's signal and sent a message to Franca:

"Li Keji has been taken to the basement. I’m planning to check it out.

"If I don’t send you a message within 15 minutes, ask Ludwig find me. He should be useful in the basement.

"If that doesn’t work, we can still use the Corpse Wax Candle one more time, and invoking Chief of Police name should also be an option." Lumian detailed his plan thoroughly to reassure Franca that he had backup measures and she didn’t need to take any unnecessary risks.

After a long pause, Franca replied briefly: "Be careful, prioritize your own safety."

Lumian once again switched his phone to airplane mode, turned into a shadow creature, and snuck into the main building.

This time, he avoided the elevator, taking a dark and safe stairway down step by step.

Upon reaching the basement, just as he approached the elevator, he saw a large door made of crystal.

At that moment, the crystal door was half-open, and a wheelchair was positioned near it. A person sat in the wheelchair.

That person was wrapped entirely in white bandages, like a living mummy. Lumian suddenly felt a sense of familiarity.

His intuition told him that the person in the wheelchair was his “colleague,” Lao Dinh, who had suffered a lightning accident at work.

What was Lao Dinh doing in the basement? Was this where he lived? Carefully, Lumian sneaked past Lao Dinh from within the shadows.

A moment later, he saw Lao Dinh struggling to reach out his right hand, touching a piece of white paper stuck to the half-open glass door.

On that white paper were written a few words:

"Treatment area, unauthorized personnel are not allowed inside."

Lumian withdrew his gaze, realizing that he had inadvertently sneaked in during the interlude.

Following the narrow path, guided by the ghostly presence, he moved suspiciously towards the patients wandering inside, and Lumian gradually became uneasy.

He unconsciously lowered his head, noticing that he had somehow detached from the ghost and returned to his human form.

His natural ability's contract had become ineffective!

Lumian also noticed that the clothes on his body were slowly transforming, changing to resemble the standard attire of the nurses in the Mushu hospital.

"This..." Lumian recalled the "Mummy" at the entrance and that announcement, thinking about the illusory Abyss below the ground and the "Mother Tree of Desire" that corresponded with the shortcut features, leading to a swift conclusion:

This area is under a strong curse!

The content of the curse is: Unrelated staff should not enter!

In other words, unrelated staff entering would transform into related staff, becoming regular nurses frequently entering and exiting this place, turning into the illusory Abyss marionettes? Lumian clearly understood this point afterward, naturally figuring out how to break this curse.

But he didn't dare to act that way.

His solution was to shout loudly, "Mother, I am your child!" This statement essentially acknowledged himself as the true Child of the God.

And it was evident that the "Great Mother" force and influence existed in the hospital's basement; the "Newborn" in the body storage room was proof of this.

With this premise, the Child of the "Great Mother" certainly did not belong to the unrelated staff!

Lumian felt the anomaly on him accelerating, and since he couldn't think of any other solutions for the moment, he could only activate the black seal on his right shoulder to "Teleport" out of this level.

He appeared safely in the corridor on the first floor, where there was no one.

Fortunately, he could "Teleport" out of the basement; otherwise, he would have to rely on the candle made from corpse oil or pronunciation of the name suggested by Madam Magician. No, given the speed of the recent anomaly, the secret ritual would hardly have time to take effect. Lumian lowered his head to examine himself, discovering that his clothes had returned to normal.

Once again, he transformed into a shadow creature and entered the safe passageway, observing the elevator up and down, while pondering how to enter the basement without becoming the true Child of God and save Li Keji.

While he was thinking, Lumian saw a dedicated elevator ascending from the basement, where a nurse was pushing out a medical bed.

On that medical bed, on either side were stationed nurses, lying on the bed was a bearded man, eyes closed, dressed in a blue-and-white striped patient uniform.

    That was Li Keji.

"Treatment" complete? Lumian narrowed his eyes. Had he finally arrived too late?

He watched as Li Keji was pushed out between the elevators, following him through the shadows, exiting the main floor and returning to the psychiatric ward.

After confirming Li Keji's hospital room, Lumian took the lead to step outside, behind every green tree, taking out his mobile phone to change forms and send a message to Franca:

"I cannot enter the basement; there is a curse inside, and I was forced to leave early.

"Now, Li Keji has completed the 'treatment' and returned to his hospital room. I plan to sneak in and check his condition. If there is no way to save him, I will execute the cleansing plan."

    Quickly, Franca replied:

"If cleansing is too troublesome, you can give up for now and take Ludwig to try once. I feel he is very effective against enemy food types, like mushrooms."

That makes sense... Lumian replied with a simple "Okay," then directly stuffed the phone into his "Traveler's Bag."

After that, a battle was likely to happen, so it was better to keep the phone protected.

Not long after, Lumian took the shadow creature form and slipped into the crack of Li Keji's hospital room, quietly moving to the bed in front.

He looked around, observing the still-sleeping Li Keji and began assessing his condition. Suddenly, Li Keji opened his eyes wide and sat up.

Seeing Lumian, he revealed a smile from the bottom of his heart: "I've discovered the essence!

    "I succeeded!"

    Lumian's expression suddenly changed.

He saw Li Keji's chest swell, two large, rigid mushrooms bursting from his patient uniform, oozing milk, while Li Keji's abdomen was covered in clumps of flesh that twisted and tore through his clothing, as if creating a bloody, realistic, direct explosion of the womb.

    (130) Chapter 1014: Transferred

    Crimson Moon Hospital, psychiatric ward.

Lumian directly "teleported" to the area outside Li Keji's room. Once again, he put on sunglasses and a mask.

Taking advantage of the moment when no one was around, Lumian knocked loudly on the steel door of the room.

Almost simultaneously, his intuition told him: there’s no one in this room anymore!

Lumian tensed up and "teleported" into the room.

It was empty. No people, no mushrooms, the blankets were neatly folded. Lumian took out a mirror, intending to use divination to search for Li Keji.

At this moment, he frowned, hesitated for a moment, and abandoned the idea, fearing he might reveal an image he couldn’t handle at the moment.

He "teleported" back outside the ward, still wearing the sunglasses and mask, and approached the nurse’s station with a calm voice:

"I'm here to visit a patient, which room is Li Keji in?" The nurse, who was busy with paperwork, looked up in surprise and asked, "You don’t know?

"Li Keji was transferred back to Mushu Hospital. His mental condition was diagnosed as severe. Even though he doesn’t need to go to prison, he still has to undergo treatment under supervision."

Transferred back to Mushu Hospital? Lumian’s heart sank, and he asked, "When did this happen?"

"This morning," the nurse replied impatiently. "If you want to visit him, you’ll have to go to Mushu Hospital."

This morning… At that time, I returned to the real world to report the situation, Jenna and Anthony were kicked out of the Dreamscape, and only Franca, in a bad state, remained to secretly protect Luo Shan. We couldn’t take care of Li Keji, and last night’s events were too urgent. After that, we had to deal with Franca’s mental issues. I didn’t think to notify the Queen Mystic in time. They picked their timing perfectly. Lumian asked again:

    "Who arranged the transfer?"

"Of course, it was the patient’s family—his mother," the nurse answered, suspiciously eyeing Lumian’s masked face and sunglasses.

His mother… Lumian felt a tingle on his scalp and, pretending to joke, asked, "How did you confirm she was his mother?"

What if I said I was, would you believe it?

Annoyed, the nurse replied, "She had the family registry! And the patient’s doctor confirmed it!"

So Huang Jiajia helped arrange for Li Keji’s 'mother' to do the transfer? Lumian asked no further and left the psychiatric ward.

His first reaction was to quickly find an empty spot and "teleport" to Mushu Hospital, hoping he could get there before Li Keji truly became the 'Mother's' child, retrieve the mushroom for treatment, and rescue him.

If the attempt to "break him out" failed, he’d shift to assassination, eliminating the Dreamscape figure entirely and not leaving any trace of the 'Great Mother.'

Just as he was about to activate the black mark on his right shoulder, Lumian had a new thought. He didn’t have any help at the moment; he needed to find some.

So, he took out his phone, opened the online car service app, and booked a ride from Crimson Moon Hospital to Mushu Hospital.

During the ride, he sent a message to Franca:

"Li Keji has been transferred to Mushu Hospital. Bring Ludwig and wait outside the hospital. If necessary, have Ludwig find me.

"Remember to notify Luo Shan and tell her to stay vigilant in the afternoon—be extremely careful, and it’s best if she periodically checks in with Zhou Mingrui.

"We can’t afford to lose one while trying to save another. We can’t rescue Li Keji only to lose Luo Shan."

    "Got it," Franca replied succinctly.

After using the Information Shredder to erase the chat record, Lumian stood by the roadside, patiently waiting for his ride.

Within two minutes, a white online car service vehicle pulled up. Lumian opened the passenger door and quickly got in.

He glanced at the driver, just in time to see the man take out a monocle and place it over his right eye socket.

Lumian wasn’t surprised—this was exactly what he expected. As the driver started the car, Lumian casually said:

    "Long time no see."

"Not that long—I’ve been watching you all closely," the driver, Amon, replied, driving in an ordinary manner without using any extraordinary powers.

"We’ve roughly decoded the symbolic meaning of Peng Deng, Grisha, and the others in the Dreamscape," Lumian said directly, suppressing his inner anxiety.

"Let’s hear it," Amon said, driving slowly.

It was clear he had fully integrated into this Dreamscape city.

Lumian chose his words carefully and briefly explained the theory of Miss Justice.

    Amon smiled:

"You’re not quite a 'qualified decipherer,' though your thinking and direction aren’t wrong. But your analysis isn’t deep enough. If Pallez was here, he’d probably be able to decode all the symbolic meanings."

"What’s wrong with our interpretation?" Lumian had brought this up to get confirmation from Amon.

—Based on their speculation, Amon and Lumian’s father, for some unknown reason, no longer intended to maintain balance and were trying to weaken Celestial Worthy to wake up Mr. Fool sooner, making them temporary allies.

Amon glanced at him and smiled:

"You yourself said these figures are woven from their identities and personalities to create realistic images, not through shortcuts.

"My Father, True Creator, Adam, the original God Almighty, King of Angel of the left hand Sasrir —how many identities is that?"

"Five," Lumian murmured, "So Dark Angel among the eight Kings of Angels is also a manifestation of the Ancient Sun God…"

"This was also a time when he didn’t grasp the intelligence.

Amon squinted his right eye behind his monocle, smiling as he said:

‘Considering it like this, the corresponding symbolic meaning of understanding and decoding is actually quite simple:

Aurore Company’s boss symbolizes True Creator, influenced by the awareness of Mr. Fool, primarily operating next to the Intis Group’s headquarters, Peng Deng, and Grisha. They symbolize the one you hate the most, that original deity, but their specific location isn’t fixed. The gods can exchange at any time, with symbols merging and opposing. Nie Zhen symbolizes the “Dark Angel,” representing the part of my father that split away. Adam’s rib is his Eve.’

‘True Creator and Adam have already merged consciously, so there’s no need to rent again. They can borrow Mr. Fool’s awareness, acting under different identities, but their thoughts are interconnected.’

Lumian slightly nodded and said, ‘Does Zhang Yujia represent your father, the Ancient Sun God?’

‘The Church itself is Him. Zhang Yujia, scattered outside the Dream City, symbolizes my father, who has already retreated from this stage. Now His heirs, along with that original deity, are opposed. This too is understood by Mr. Fool.’ Amon said with a mocking tone, ‘As for the symbolic meaning of renting and moving, do I need to explain it further?’

This explanation is indeed clearer, but in this matter, one can’t completely trust Amon… Lumian laughed and said:

‘Why does your father’s Dream image appear as a female?’

‘Is it because Mr. Fool’s other close friend is a woman, or does Mr. Fool believe your father, who gave birth to you and the “Angel of Imagination” and then split off the “Dark Angel,” is a successful mother?’

    Amon laughed:

‘The previous person who tried to interpret these symbols mocked in the same way. You two are quite similar.’

    ‘Who?’ Lumian asked cautiously.

‘Didn’t you guess? The Red Angel Medici.’ Amon glanced at Lumian, ‘He too could enter Mr. Fool’s Dream?’

Lumian frowned. Could it be that the Red Angel has turned towards the Celestial Worthy?

From the current view, aside from True Gods and those who hold the Fool’s gold coin, only a few select individuals with the Celestial Worthy’s special permission can enter this Dream City.

Hmm, other great beings also seem able to send one or two subordinates here through the illusory Abyss beneath the Mushu Hospital, like Lu Yong’an. However, it’s very unlikely the Red Angel would cooperate with the other gods, especially after the inn incident, where he tricked several Evil Gods in one move...

‘He has a corresponding image in the Dream City and received the highest support from the “Dream Weaver,” so of course he could enter.’ Amon explained in a casual tone.

‘The highest support from the Dream Weaver…’ Lumian suddenly had a flash of insight, ‘Wasn’t it Angel of Imagination (I'm not sure about the translation, there was something strange here) who helped him enter, but that original deity?’

‘The enemy of my enemy is my friend.’ Amon said with a playful tone, ‘But, the enemy of my enemy can still be my enemy, like you and Medici.’

‘Is the Red Angel so calm in the Dream? What is he doing, planning?’ Lumian, wearing sunglasses and a mask, asked.

    Amon shook his head:

‘You should find and ask him yourself.’ Before Lumian could ask further, Amon laughed and said:

‘Peng Deng risked exposing himself. It’s not just for you to know who he is. Did you figure out what he really wanted to imply?’

The real implication… Lumian fell into deep thought. After about ten seconds, he responded:

‘Is the Mr. Fool in this city’s image also divided? Is it Director Yagates, You and Zhou Mingrui?’

Amon revealed a delighted expression: ‘Do I look like the Mr. Fool?’ He said in an instructive tone:

‘You must understand how to eliminate complicated distractions and see the most fundamental truth.

The most fundamental truth is that the Fool never integrated the “Error” with the “Door,” but the Celestial Worthy did.’

This… Lumian vaguely grasped what Amon was implying.

Just as he was about to confirm with vague words and indirect methods, the carriage stopped. ‘Mushu Hospital has arrived,’ Amon suddenly switched to a familiar tone of an online ride-hailing driver.

Lumian thought for two seconds, opened the door, and stepped out.

‘Don’t forget to give a good rating!’ Amon waved his hand and quickly drove away.

    ‘Eh…’ Lumian was stunned.

He had called for an online ride-hailing service with the real intention of seeking Amon’s help in saving Li Keji, but his companion just left like that!

    Gone...

Amon, as the only symbol of the “Error,” cannot directly participate in such matters, so he can only help indirectly? Lumian pondered as he withdrew his gaze.

Wearing sunglasses and a mask, he looked at Mushu Hospital, hesitated no longer, and walked toward the psychiatric department behind the high-rise."

Did the Medici request the support of Hermes, the leader of the Psychology Alchemists? It turns out that the angel of the Viewer's path can still influence Klein's dream? Is that why Mr. Fool asked Audrey to increase her consistency?

I am bit slow so tell me if I am getting this right-
peng deng and grisha represents ga and adam but who is who is uncertain
      peng deng's girlfriend - sassy
and Adam shares conciousness with leader of Aurora order so they might also be able to exchange places
ancient sun god is outside a female friend of zhou (nice jab their Lumian 😉)
and Medici entered with the help of ga (does ga has what it takes to contact him outside of dreamscape?)
      .
I liked how Amon gave deciphering lessons to Lumian (will help in future to think more accurately, it's good to see cf still has what it takes to write brainy characters)
      .
what is Amon hinting at by reminding that CW was the one who actually accomodated uniqueness, is Amon somehow corrupted by CW (would be a W for he's the biggest menace of the verse)
      .

It's not necessarily Medici - it's Anderson. We must remember who Medici hung out with in the first book and who his allies were.

yeah I was just wishing for Medici to pop out from known people in the dream and Anderson named himself 'a name that leaves deep impression' so I was just cooking without proper materials, what could Medici be planning in the dream, I don't see his interests aside from taking out Lumian

In the chapters "In Modern Days", Medici was in his guise. Plus illustrations for the 6th volume (for example, Grisha was there too, but everyone thought it was Peng Deng)

-In the side story "In Modern Day," Medici still exists in the form of an evil spirit, an old friend who enjoys smoking of Vice President Wu.
-On his way home from work, Zhou Mingrui encountering him and got mocked with the phrase "Wimp."
-Sauron and Einhorn still coexist with Medici in one body. They collaborated to sneak into Zhou Mingrui's room and drew a monster on his notebook: a humanoid figure composed of wriggling worms. They also recorded their conversation in the notebook.
