Chapter 914: Surveillance

After discussing his two speculations, Lumian added:

"I just felt that entering the basement of Woodlands Hospital would be extremely dangerous. If the problem there is a subconscious dreamscape interwoven from the impressions of Mr. 'Fool' on 'Mother Tree of Desire' and “Her” subordinates, it wouldn't be this severe."

He meant that he leaned more towards the theory that the primary consciousness of the dreamscape couldn’t be confronted head-on.

Sitting in the front passenger seat, Jenna looked at the Woodlands Hospital gradually fading away and frowned slightly:

"But Mr. Star and the police he represents only found the Oracle's corpse. They didn't seem to notice anything unusual about Woodlands Hospital."

"This implies that even though the main consciousness of the dreamscape cannot be confronted directly, it has ways to conceal and deceive," Anthony shared his perspective.

"There could also be an insider." Franca, who had read many novels and watched movies about espionage, muttered, "The main consciousness of the dreamscape must have a part belonging to the Celestial Worthy. He might be pleased to see the power of the Mother Tree of Desire seeping through and causing some trouble. Therefore, He deliberately ignored certain details."

"This also indicates that whether it’s Mr. 'Fool' or the Celestial Worthy, both are actually in a dormant state with their true consciousness hazy, only reacting to direct stimuli. Usually, they might just give some hints based on prayers or intuitive predictions. Otherwise, we would have been discovered and kicked out of the dreamscape when we first interacted with ordinary people in it," Lumian concluded, based on the various events over the past two days and the details mentioned in the Major Arcana cards.

Franca warned the team members:

"So, don't think about direct confrontation. Don’t do anything that would make you a hot topic on social media. If you do, and the Celestial Worthy's dreamscape identity sees a corresponding video, we’ll immediately be kicked out of the dreamscape.

"Even if the Celestial Worthy doesn't see it, His subordinates will."

After a brief silence, Jenna asked, "What does direct confrontation mean?" Anthony was equally puzzled:

"Would that attract a lot of attention, like being on the front page of a newspaper?"

You guys really aren’t as adaptable as Lumian... Franca thought to herself. While driving, she explained simply:

"Open your phones and access the black-and-white cloud app I gave you before...

"The hottest topic recently is 'True Death Metal.'"

Jenna and the others became serious and focused, continuing to educate themselves online.

As dawn approached, Lumian, accompanied by Franca, entered the store from noon through the mirror world, arriving behind some mirrored objects in the observation room.

Hiding behind the mirror objects, they peered through the mirrors and saw a large screen divided into multiple panels, each showing different scenes corresponding to different areas of the store, and two security guards sitting in front of the screen on night duty.

At this point, the store had long since closed. The surveillance showed many dark scenes, with only a few areas illuminated by bright moonlight.

— In this dreamscape city, the moon wasn’t tinged red but appeared pale silver with occasional golden hues.

Franca, excited but cautious, extended her right hand towards a slightly larger makeup mirror.

The makeup mirror immediately reflected the large screen, showing the different scenes in each panel.

Soon after, the surface of the makeup mirror emitted an ethereal light, invisible to the naked eye.

"Mirror Maze!"

The two security guards immediately had their perceptions replaced by illusions reflected from the monitored areas and cameras.

Franca had once imagined returning to her hometown and still being able to use extraordinary abilities. Now, it was as if she was living her dream.

Boldly, she stepped out from behind the mirrored objects, carefully adjusted the makeup mirror, and approached the surveillance system with Lumian.

The two guards showed no reaction to their actions, as if they didn’t exist.

In their eyes, the scenes remained the same as before, with no outsiders entering.

Lumian glanced at Franca and whispered:

"Make it quick."

He didn’t know how to operate this surveillance system, or he would’ve done it himself.

Franca adjusted the reflected images to avoid any sudden light changes, while also figuring out the store’s surveillance system.

Thanks to prior research and preparation, she quickly retrieved the footage from the supermarket area at noon.

Soon, the screen displayed the moment when she and Lumian had entered the supermarket entrance.

In the background of the footage, at the spot where goods were stacked, a figure in a white dress was moving away from the camera.

This figure had a beautiful face, delicate and exquisite ears, a fair and slender neck, a clean and untainted aura, and slightly messy hair tied up lazily.

"It’s the resurrected female corpse," Franca confirmed, comparing it with the sketch she had completed using "Dream Divination."

Before Lumian could respond, she added:

"This appearance, aura, and charm are more like a Demi-God level 'Demoness' than a 'Spirit of Lust, Baby Cupid.' (Seq 5 - Scrooge pathway)

"How could the 'Demoness' resurrect at Woodlands Hospital?"

Lumian nodded gently, refraining from speculating and instead asking Franca:

"Can you trace her movements throughout the store?"

"Yes," Franca replied, busy operating the surveillance system.

Soon, the large screen showed the female corpse's figure in every panel, corresponding to different scenes in the store.

Franca, while at the base examining the surveillance footage, was looking for the whereabouts of the female corpse during the process. She watched these several times, her eyes focused intently on observing the details of Lumian, and thoughtfully said:

"It seems she was wandering aimlessly, didn't buy anything, entered a shop, looked around for a few minutes, and then left. It doesn't look like she was stalking anyone, nor was she looking for any particular item."

Lumian compared every image of the passersby in the surveillance footage and didn't find anyone who stood out as the female corpse.

"Is she experiencing the city for the first time, wandering and exploring?" Lumian thought of his own group.

"Then, because she had no money, she didn't dare to buy anything?" Franca joked.

Lumian shook his head: "It shouldn't be that simple.

"We almost accidentally encountered this female corpse during lunch, and after lunch, the Oracle's corpse began to show strange changes. The hospital where the Oracle's corpse was revived was also where this female corpse came back to life.

"If it wasn't arranged by someone, if it wasn't part of a script, such a coincidence would be enough to prove a close connection between them both."

Franca pondered for a moment and said:

"If this female corpse is truly a 'Demoness', then I have encountered similar situations before:

"When I first became a female diviner, I received useful hints from divination, but it was only about time and place. So, I wandered aimlessly back and forth on a street in Trier for a day and finally encountered what I was supposed to."

Upon hearing this, Lumian slowly nodded and said:

"You mean, the resurrected female corpse got hints through divination and came to wander around this shop?"

At this point, Lumian's eyes darkened:

"Her gain was to close the distance between us, to discover clues about where the Oracle's corpse was hidden behind some mirror, and thus after lunch, the Oracle's corpse showed strange changes?

"She is a subordinate of the Celestial Worthy, searching for the Oracle's corpse?

"Celestial Worthy and the 'Tree of Desire' are cooperating, using the hospital to control subordinates and harm some dream characters?"

Franca nodded and said:

"She could have accidentally encountered us, seemingly due to divination hints, but in fact, it should be the extraordinary convergence property of the laws at work.

"Only 'Demonesses' and high-ranked extraordinary beings of the 'Door' pathway can influence the world within the mirror, causing the Oracle's corpse hidden behind the mirror to mutate.

"That female corpse might fit both scenarios."

Franca meant that the female corpse might be granted Semi-God level 'Demoness' powers from the 'Door' pathway.

Lumian agreed with Franca's explanation, thinking for a few seconds and said:

"But the resurrection of this female corpse is definitely not just for finding the Oracle's corpse. From the situation handed over by that nurse, she came back to life before the Oracle was killed.

"She must have a more significant role, carrying out some crucial task?"

Franca sighed:

"In the coming days, apart from observing The 'Fool' and the people around him, we must find a way to locate this female corpse, see if we can deceive Celestial Worthy, and secretly eliminate her."

If this were in the real world, Franca would definitely not say such a thing, because she wouldn't be sure if the resurrected female corpse was rank 4, rank 3, or even higher. She would suggest inviting Major Arcana cards for help. But in the dream city, everyone was forced to rank 7 in terms of strength. A Semi-God level 'Demoness' only had slightly more special abilities, with no fundamental difference in strength. And Lumian was also a Semi-God level 'Demoness' their team was strong in numbers and could fight in a group.

Lumian thought for a moment and said:

"Shouldn't there be surveillance on the street as well? Can we find the last direction of this female corpse from the surveillance?"

"It's possible, but that would require hacking into the government department. If discovered, it would mean opposing the dream master's consciousness." Franca disagreed with taking such a risk now, as many pieces of information were still not collected!

Lumian suppressed his inner urge, returned to the original surveillance footage with Franca, erased their traces, and retreated into the mirror items. Franca then ended the 'Mirror Maze' and took the makeup mirror.

The two security guards only felt that the surveillance screen flickered for a moment, then quickly returned to normal.

Franca and Lumian returned to the car parked on the roadside, meeting with Jenna and the others responsible for the cover.

The car drove towards the old city area. Lumian and the driver Franca told their teammates about the surveillance findings and their own speculations.

While talking, Lumian suddenly fell silent.

"What's wrong?" Jenna asked.

Lumian said in a deep voice:

"We thought of going to the shop to retrieve surveillance footage to find that female corpse. Wouldn't that female corpse also think of retrieving surveillance to see if any prominent women had passed by?"

Being able to hide the corpse behind the mirror, there was a high probability she was also a 'Demoness'!

Franca's expression changed and she exclaimed: "Observation Room!"

There are actually a couple of methods for becoming ATS, and Adam told Klein how to become a Great Old One using the best methods:

      1) Become a true Sequence 0 Deity then gain full control of the Sefirah before advancing to be Sequence 0 of the other neighbouring Pathways.
      [Klein used this method.]

      2) Become a Dual-Pathway Deity and get full control of the Sefirah before ascending to Sequence 0 of the other Pathways.
[Amon used this method, Adam is using this method.]

      3) Become a Sequence 0 in all neighbouring Pathways before gaining full control of the Sefirah.
[This method is the most dangerous one.]

    (43) Chapter 927: Misfortune?

After recounting the events related to the resurrection of the female corpse, Madam Magician confirmed Lumian's group's current strategy. She explained that one of the main reasons why the holder of the golden coin couldn't find a way to awaken Mr. Fool was that they approached their target too quickly. This led to them being locked onto by the Celestial Worthy and either ejected from the Dream or subjected to severe limitations, leaving them with only the ability to contribute by gathering intelligence.

The final piece of information that Madam Magician gave Lumian's group was that some of the golden coin holders could still enter this Dream city, but they couldn't communicate with Mr. Fool or intervene in anything. However, they could act as "human cameras" to gather information in certain situations.

The content displayed on the ice crystal screen ended there. Lumian's wrist trembled as he burned the letter, then turned to Ludwig and said:

"The origin of the resurrected female corpse."

Ludwig, with eyes eagerly glancing at the snack shop across the street, reluctantly shared the information he had gathered from the corpse:

"Panatiya, a member of the Demoness Sect, known as the Lady Despair, was one of the creators of the The Great Smog of Backlund Incident. In a mysterious small town leading to the The Nation of the Evernight, she became the secret puppet of Antigonus, a great noble of the Tudor Empire. At that time, Antigonus was in a state of madness, spiritually close to the Celestial Worthy you mentioned...”

"For someone on the top level of the Maroder pathway, the Lady Despair is indeed no different from the secret puppet of Celestial Worthy." Lumian listened carefully to Ludwig's account, nodding slowly.

His gaze shifted to the car outside the window, watching the people coming in and out of the police station. He pondered aloud:

"Illusions, bargaining, Dream City, and this reality... I don't fully understand them. For now, I can only trust the explanation of Madam Magician. What I wonder is why the Celestial Worthy brought the Lady Despair puppet into the Dream City instead of using her to simulate a figure here.

"It can't just be to provide us with beyonder characteristics and fragments of a special world in the mirror, can it?"

"Exactly," Franca agreed, also finding the Celestial Worthy choice puzzling.

If Panatiya was the secret puppet of Celestial Worthy, her corresponding Dream City figure should easily revert to being the Celestial Worthy puppet. In subsequent missions, her role as that character wouldn't necessarily have to meet the real Demoness requirement - merely from Panatiya's restored scenario, the illusory Demoness in Dream City could fulfill the corresponding duties.

The Celestial Worthy chose a more complicated approach instead of a simpler method, suggesting there might be a hidden reason behind it.

    That reason could be crucial.

Sitting in the back, Anthony shared his speculation on the character's psychological state:

"If the descriptions and Ms. Susie's reminders are accurate, then Mr. Fool's Dream City figure is extremely cautious. Sending a Demoness with a reasonable excuse and a high-quality approach to get close to him, using subtle methods to break the ice and foster feelings, might not be the best choice because the Demoness is too beautiful. This would instinctively make someone who considers themselves an ordinary person draw a line, thinking she's unattainable."

Lumian, Jenna, and Franca, all Demonesses, simultaneously looked at Anthony.

Anthony paused for two seconds before continuing:

"If it were up to me, I'd think of a way to turn one of Zhou Mingrui`s current female colleagues into a puppet. That colleague should be quite ordinary, not an extraordinary individual, and not particularly beautiful, but still possessing her own charm in certain angles or expressions.

"Once she becomes familiar with Zhou Mingrui, I'd arrange for her to drink the Assassin's potion, gradually increasing her charm step by step, allowing affection to grow..."

Lumian's gaze shifted several times but remained silent.

"You guys are like 'directors'..." Franca couldn't help but sigh, acknowledging their scriptwriting skills that could rival those of the Celestial Worthy.

She had just seriously considered the scenario and felt that, if it were her in the past, she probably wouldn't have been able to resist!

"Then why does the Celestial Worthy need to bring his Demoness Puppet into the Dream City and use the Great Mother’s power to give her new life?" Jenna repeated Lumian and Franca's earlier confusion.

The car's interior fell into a brief silence before Lumian thoughtfully said:

"Don't you think there are too many Demoness involved in this matter?"

"Do you mean?" Jenna vaguely guessed what Lumian was getting at.

It was the symbol of the Dream City that he had been emphasizing lately.

Lumian slightly raised the corners of his mouth:

"As members of the team tasked with awakening Mr. Fool, we have an unusually high number of Demonesses, more than half of us. Meanwhile, our primary opponents abandoned simplicity, choosing complexity, and brought one of their own Demoness Puppets into this place.

"The Major Arcana cards mentioned that Mr. Fool has authority over destiny, and the Celestial Worthy likely does too.

"Could it be that the golden coin's luck eventually converged on us, leading us into this Dream City as a representation of destiny? Does it signify that Mr. Fool awakening requires a Demoness, and that helping the Celestial Worthy achieve victory will also require a Demoness?

"I've already felt that the path chosen by the golden coin's luck this time was too straightforward. The appearance of the resurrected female corpse deepened my suspicion."

"Then why can't it be the real Demoness? And why does it have to be an external one with a real consciousness?" Jenna mumbled along this line of thought.

Understanding this question might reveal how to awaken Mr. Fool.

    Lumian chuckled softly:

"I can only think of two reasons for now:

"First, the real Demoness symbolizes real calamity, which brings significant changes to the Dream City. Where there is change, there is opportunity—perhaps for good or perhaps for bad. But this doesn't explain why there aren't many Hunters, as Hunters are also symbols of calamity.

"Second, some critical element related to the awakening of Mr. Fool can only be completed by a Demoness with a certain rank."

"Both reasons might be valid," Franca said while lamenting the air conditioning costs. She wanted to cool down with an ice block but worried about being detected by the police.

Meanwhile, they continued observing the people entering and exiting the police station, occasionally discussing their thoughts until noon arrived.

During this process, Lumian and the others saw Officer Deng and his fiancée, Daly, holding hands as they left, heading to the dining room for lunch. They also saw Old Neil and a famous international criminal police officer.

Their observations basically matched the descriptions in the documents.

"Didn't see Mr. Star." Franca withdrew her gaze and prepared to drive onto the road.

"He should be investigating that murder case at the shop outside," Lumian noticed something about this while checking his phone earlier.

Franca didn't say anything further and drove the car to a highly modernized area full of tall buildings, stopping opposite a hundred-meter-high skyscraper.

Their next target of observation, who was also a key suspect, Peng Deng, worked at this location.

As soon as Franca parked the car, Lumian and the others noticed the target approaching from afar.

It was a young man with an ordinary appearance, holding an iced coffee and looking down at his phone.

Every time Jenna thought the man would bump into someone on the street or an obstacle, Peng Deng, without even lifting his head, skillfully avoided them.

Almost simultaneously, information about Peng Deng flashed in Lumian's mind:

"Peng Deng, twenty-four years old, a fellow villager of Zhou Mingrui, attended kindergarten, elementary school, and junior high together, and went to the same high school. Currently, he is one of the designers in the office and lives at the Harmony Residence near the new city garden.

"He has a girlfriend named Niep Chan, who lives in the High-Tech Zone, and they plan to move in together after the current lease ends.

"At present, Peng Deng shares his place with a foreign worker named Kas, who has a strange temper, is stubborn, and behaves rudely."

Lumian carefully observed Peng Deng, who was wearing a light-colored shirt and sweating on his back, not missing a single detail of his movements or expressions.

It wasn't until Peng Deng entered the skyscraper that Lumian retracted his gaze and asked Anthony:

    "Did you notice anything?"

    Anthony shook his head.

"Nothing unusual. If it were that easy to spot a problem, the Major Arcana would have already made some progress." Lumian wasn't disappointed.

He told all the team members:

"We're not sure if Peng Deng will go out this afternoon, so let's first observe his girlfriend and his roommate. Tomorrow is the weekend, so we might contact with Mr. Fool again at the training center. We need to quickly review everyone on the observation list."

Jenna and the others had no objections.

Franca tried to start the car again, but no matter what she did, it wouldn't start.

The engine sputtered and couldn't stabilize.

"Damn! The car's broken," Franca said, unable to hide her frustration as she slammed the steering wheel.

At that moment, Lumian and Jenna had only one thought in their minds:

"We have to pay for this..."

Shortly after, Lumian frowned, "Is this just a coincidence?

"We just observed Peng Deng, and now the car breaks down.

"Yeah, there were no signs of this earlier." Franca also began to feel that something was off.

Could approaching Peng Deng with ill intent bring bad luck?

But the Major Arcana team hadn't mentioned anything similar when observing Peng Deng earlier.

"This is an anomaly; let's record it," Lumian told Anthony.

He got out of the car, habitually thinking he should check it himself to see if he could fix it, but standing under the blazing sun, he quickly remembered that he had no understanding of the internal structure of car engines. The only thing he could do was pat the engine a few times, hoping the vibrations and luck would somehow fix the car.

"I'll call the rental car company," Franca said, reaching for the phone on the dashboard.

At that moment, a friendly voice called out from the side of the road:

"Hey, Lee, and you, how are you guys doing?"

Lumian and Anthony looked towards the road and saw that the one greeting them was Setiano, the foreign student they had met yesterday, who they suspected might be a high-ranking member of the Steam Church in his dreams.

"The car broke down," Lumian pointed to the gray sedan.

Setiano, carrying a travel bag, brightened up:

"Maybe I can help you fix it."

    (42) Chapter 926: The Fake Becomes Real

Glancing around, Franca noticed that the Star Dream Provisions Store strongly resembled a typical antique shop in the Northern Continent, with a significant and evident presence of mysticism.

The only things out of place in this setting were the shelves and the shopkeeper, who was engrossed in her phone while a tablet was displayed in front of her.

"Good morning, ma'am. We've come to collect a response," Lumian said politely as he approached the counter.

The shopkeeper, dressed in a black dress and fiddling with her phone, pulled out an envelope from under the counter and placed it on top.

"Thank you." Lumian took the envelope but didn't immediately open it.

Franca pointed to a brass book on the shelf:

"Ma'am, may I take a look at that book?"

"Sure," the shopkeeper replied without lifting her head or cautioning Franca not to damage the antique.

Franca walked over to the shelf on the right and picked up the brass-bound book.

The item felt cold and hard, clearly made of metal.

Franca quickly opened it and found blank pages inside.

There’s nothing special about it... she thought to herself.

But before the thought could fully form, she suddenly saw lines of text appear briefly on the blank pages, vanishing almost as soon as they appeared—too quickly for even a Demoness sharp eyes to catch any details.

Did I just imagine that? Franca patiently waited another thirty seconds, hoping for more text to appear on the brass book’s pages, but again, nothing lasted long enough for her to read.

This thing is definitely strange... Franca muttered to herself as she placed the brass book back in its original spot.

At the same moment, out of the corner of her eye, she glimpsed a shadow in the shape of a dark green snake with white feathers and small wings darting behind the shelf.

Franca instinctively jumped back a couple of steps and warned the shopkeeper:

"Ma'am, you have a snake in your shop! Be careful!"

"Don’t worry," the shopkeeper said, finally looking up to reveal a beautiful face. "That’s my pet."

"Oh... I see..." Franca sighed in relief. She then joined Jenna and Anthony, who were exploring the shop, and followed Lumian outside. They got back into their nearby gray car, using icy air to cool down the vehicle’s sun-baked interior.

Once she was in the driver’s seat, Franca frowned slightly and said:

"I just saw a snake that looked a lot like a shrunken, harmless version of the Feathered Serpent from the Death Pathway. The shopkeeper wouldn’t really be keeping a mythical creature from the Death Pathway as a pet, would she?"

A complete mythical creature represents an Angel-level being!

Lumian destroyed the letter in his hand and calmly said:

"It’s not impossible. If someone possesses a unique item or has a special connection, they might be able to enter the Dream Realm. At the very least, they’re a True God."

Wait... Were we just interacting with a True God? And did they actually answer my question? Franca was stunned by the realization. Just then, she noticed a man carrying several bags approaching the car and knocking on the window.

"Can I help you?" Franca asked cautiously as she rolled down the window.

The average-looking man smiled and held out some items:

"Interested in buying? Latest model bugging devices and pinhole cameras."

Franca’s mouth twitched. "Sir, that’s illegal."

The man tried to keep selling, but Franca’s stern expression and firm refusal sent him away.

After rolling the window back up, Franca started the car. Meanwhile, Lumian examined the Major Arcana cards’ responses, focusing on one signed by Madam Magician.

    Just then, Franca suddenly stopped:

"Wait, let’s check if anyone planted bugging devices or hidden cameras in the car first."

Given their precarious situation and the suppression of their abilities, relying on Demoness intuition and divination to prevent supernatural spying had been effective. But they hadn’t considered mundane threats!

Lumian and Jenna understood the potential danger of bugging devices and pinhole cameras. Using his Hunter’s observation skills, Lumian quickly searched for any signs of tampering, while Jenna used her divination to confirm the situation.

"Nothing," Jenna reported after her divination.

"Good," Franca sighed in relief. "From now on, we have to be cautious about technological surveillance too. Thank goodness that shady salesman reminded me; otherwise, we might’ve been caught off guard... Eh..."

As she spoke, Franca glanced at the rearview mirror.

She saw the man who had been selling bugging devices and pinhole cameras disappear around a corner at the end of the street.

"Could he be from the military? Did he come to warn us?" Franca wondered aloud.

Lumian was silent for a few seconds before responding:

    "Probably."

"Who could it be?" Franca mused as she focused on driving.

Not long after, she parked the car across from the police station.

Lumian created a medium-sized screen of frost, revealing the Major Arcana cards' response on it for easier reading:

"According to our investigation, the Beyonder characteristics, related materials, and special fragments from the Mirror World that you obtained from the Demoness of Depair are all genuine.

"Don’t get too excited; this doesn’t mean that every Beyonder in the Dream Realm can leave behind their characteristics. Only those who enter with their true consciousness can do so.

"In other words, if you die in the Dream Realm under the influence of Deception, your physical body in the real world will also die, leaving behind your Beyonder characteristics. When these characteristics return to the Dream Realm, they will be ‘bestowed’ upon the winner, who will then be able to make the fake become real.

"You understand what I’m saying—resurrecting female corpse can be considered entering with a true consciousness."

"What did she call, what is the origin, you ask Ludwig, I'll just briefly explain, she was once equivalent to the Secret Puppet of Celestial Worthy, so she still is now, don't ask why. The matters related to the Error pathway at higher levels shouldn't be questioned. In short, through this connection, using the Fool in his subconscious dream to weave her identity, she entered this Dreamscape. Through the Great Mother who gives new life, she has characteristics and consciousness unlike a Secret Puppet.

"Regarding the issue of supernatural characteristics, if you use them in the Dream to mix potions, conduct rituals, and ascend to Demi-God, your body in the real world will also become a Demi-God. Remember, influenced by the powers of Deception, the false dream might become true reality, and you may believe that what is real has turned into a falsehood.

"Moreover, the Dreamscape city is currently limited to a list of 7 levels. The spiritual effects of potions, and the requirements of rituals, will also be placed at this level. For example, what originally required infecting thirty thousand people with a plague bringing pain and despair might now only need three hundred. Taking a risk on the bottom floor of the Hospital might be enough to complete the ritual.

"Do you have the thought, 'This could work?' But I want to tell you that every gift from fate has a price recorded in the darkness. Ascending to Demoness of Despair through this method carries enormous hidden dangers, and resolving these difficulties to truly reach list 4 Demi-God will require tremendous effort.

"Think about it, in the Dreamscape city, the problems caused by consuming Demi-God potions are confined to list 7, so they may be relatively easy to accept. You can use a list 7 ritual to assist in the ascent, but once you leave the Dreamscape and return to reality, the problems confined to list 7 will break free of deception, instantly returning to list 4 standards, and at that moment, the corresponding person will likely lose control.

"Of course, this isn't unsolvable, just relatively difficult, and can't compare to completing the entire ritual in reality.

"The only method we can think of now is to completely digest the list 4 potion in the Dreamscape before leaving it, before the Dreamscape is no longer maintained. This digestion will carry over to reality, allowing the vast majority of hidden dangers suppressed at list 7 to be resolved early. When you return to reality, you'll be in an excellent state as a list 4 Demi-God, with reality at this moment being truly deceived.

"The difficulty of this method lies in how long the Dreamscape can be maintained and when you might be locked in by the Celestial Worthy and kicked out. These aren't decisions you can make, filled with unknown risks. It's extremely difficult to achieve a good opportunity for potion digestion and sufficient time."

Reading up to this point, Franca and Lumian exchanged glances, speechless.

Can it really be like this?

They originally thought their group was already exploiting loopholes in the rules to the maximum, relying on the false Angel state and sealed Angel to simply play roles and quickly digest potions. But who knew, each Deception and Price from a single glance, made them feel like their brains had been deceived.

In the Dreamscape, one can truly ascend.

    Potions deceived, rituals deceived,

Spirit deceived, the boundary between falsehood and reality also deceived...

Of course, it could also be that only oneself was deceived, thinking they'd truly completed the ascent, truly become a Demi-God, when in fact, they were just having a seizure...

Ha ha ha, everyone was deceived! Everyone was deceived! Franca couldn't help but laugh crazily in her mind.

"Is this the terrifying aspect of great existences?" Jenna gently inhaled.

    Lumian chuckled lightly:

"What we think is solid and unbreakable, unchangeable, might just be toys for great existences."

"If they want to roll it, they'll roll it, if they want to crush it, they'll crush it..." Franca mumbled a couple of lines.

Through this letter, they clearly and truly felt the presence of such a great existence.

They continued to read the letter displayed on the ice crystal screen:

"After reading the previous part, do you have the thought:

"In the future, after The Fool wakes up, is it possible to ask Him to use a similar Dreamscape to help reduce the difficulty of rituals and ascension, allowing those who need to become Demi-Gods sufficient time to digest potions in their dreams?

"First, we must clarify that relying on The Fool alone is difficult because such a real Dreamscape, which allows for the deception of blending falsehood and reality, comes from another realm.

"Next, not every Demi-God can fully digest their potions. Some spend their entire lives in a dreamscape, and if they don't restore the Dreamscape to list 4 level, their lifespan will also be suppressed to the corresponding lower list. But if the Dreamscape recognition restores to list 4, the hidden issues from deception will again erupt.

"Furthermore, is it really appropriate to have The Fool sleep for several years, decades, even hundreds of years to help an extraordinary individual ascend?

"Finally, many potion roles tend towards evil. Do you really want to create a large-scale plague in The Fool`s dreamscape? Not to mention that the Celestial Worthy will easily notice, The Fool would be the first to kick you out."

Why do I feel like Madam Magician is implying something... I really didn't think about it, this Dreamscape and reality, completely unlike a game, how did I develop such anti-social thoughts? Even if it were a game, I used to play normally before trying unconventional ways... Franca muttered inwardly.

Where the hell did they get the information about what the Feathered Serpent from The Path of Death looks like? Why the f#ck would she give such information? In terms of it, it was probably something like this: "if you see a feathered snake and survive, then know that this is a mythical form of the path of death, and soon you will die anyway." And I understand that we are pleased to understand that this is the goddess of eternal night, but why would the Lumian team do this? It will still help only at the last moment, or only in chunks. The fact that the heroes know that this is the true god only by the feathered snake, by the way, is clearly not typical for the modern world, as a result, it's just useless information that they know. Here, without knowing the information that this is a feathered serpent, because it is easier to think that this is one of the faithful heavenly worthy, he has all his objects known to a Fool, he shows unusual things in an open space being unrecognized. But for some reason, our heroes immediately deduced the most correct argument, according to a grain of information that should not be available to them.
