Chapter 1395: Origin Essence

Azroth held the black stone in his hand and spoke indifferently to Evan.

"Heart of the World... something that was born when the Origin Universe first came into existence."

The black stone floated out of Azroth’s hand and stopped directly before Evan’s eyes.

"Integrate it with your core world, and it will gain the potential to reach the level of the Origin World or even surpass it."

Evan’s pupils contracted violently when he heard Azroth’s words, and for a brief moment, his heart skipped a beat.

’Surpass the Origin World... ’

The words Azroth had spoken sounded ordinary, but the meaning behind them was anything but ordinary.

Even now, Evan did not know much about the Origin World, but from the few things he did know, he was certain it existed on a completely different level compared to Utopia.

After all, Utopia itself was merely a tiny fragment of the Origin Universe that had separated from it after Azroth destroyed the Universal Tree.

’From what I know, even the core worlds of rank-six core evolvers are only around the same size as Utopia, or slightly larger. Yet even then, they possess enough strength to completely destroy Utopia if they unleash their full power. Just what kind of power would I possess if my core world reached the size of the Origin Universe or even surpassed it?’

Azroth ignored Evan’s shock and continued speaking calmly.

"The Heart of the World can be integrated once you reach rank four, but its true effects will only begin to manifest after you advance to rank six."

The Heart of the World returned to Azroth’s palm, and his deep, abyss-like eyes flashed faintly.

"One of the benefits it will provide after integration is the ability to generate Origin Essence."

Evan’s eyes instantly lit up when he heard this because Origin Essence was exactly what he needed right now to repair the replica of the Halberd of Destruction and bring Elora back to normal.

"What exactly is Origin Essence, and what can it be used for?" Evan immediately asked because he knew absolutely nothing about it.

However, the moment he asked the question, he suddenly paused and smiled awkwardly.

He had completely forgotten that the Azroth standing before him was not truly alive, but merely something existing within the memories sealed inside the soul seal.

But then again, it was not entirely his fault for forgetting.

Ever since he started viewing the memories contained within this soul seal, Azroth had acted as though he could genuinely see him and had been teaching him directly.

Just as Evan was about to brush aside the question he had asked, Azroth unexpectedly answered him.

"Origin Essence is the condensed manifestation of the rules of the world itself. Each drop of Origin Essence contains an immense amount of law power and the very origin of laws within it. Only certain places within the Origin Universe, where the rules and laws of the world exist in their purest form, are capable of condensing Origin Essence."

"Condensed manifestation of the rules of the world..."

Evan raised an eyebrow in confusion because he did not understand a single thing Azroth had just said.

"Can you explain it in a language a simpleton like me can actually understand?"

Azroth gave Evan a cold glance and completely ignored his complaint.

Evan immediately felt slightly awkward beneath Azroth’s emotionless gaze.

Deciding to temporarily forget about the matter of Origin Essence, he quickly changed the topic.

"By the way, what exactly are you? Are you some kind of soul fragment?"

"I am merely a memory that you are viewing after breaking the soul seal."

A strange look appeared in Evan’s eyes upon hearing Azroth’s answer.

"If you are only a memory and not a fragment of a soul, then how are you talking to me like this?"

For the first time, a puzzled expression appeared on Azroth’s face as he looked at Evan strangely.

"Is it difficult?"

Evan almost screamed out loud that it was not merely difficult, it was outright impossible.

How could a memory act like a real living person and speak as though it were alive?

’Just what kind of broken existence is this bastard?’

This thought appeared in Evan’s mind, and he suddenly felt extremely jealous of Azroth’s terrifying abilities.

"If instead of focusing solely on increasing your raw power, you had spent more time understanding the true essence of our abilities, then you might have been capable of doing it as well."

Azroth spoke coldly when he noticed the sour expression on Evan’s face.

Black veins bulged on Evan’s forehead when he heard those words.

"You say that as if you know everything!"

Evan finally couldn’t help but speak.

"It hasn’t even been three full years since I transmigrated from Earth to the Arora World! Since the moment I arrived in Utopia, because of all the nonsense you caused in the past, I have been on the kill list of hundreds of big shots who could crush me with a single finger!"

"If I had focused on studying the essence of my powers instead of desperately increasing my strength, I would still be stuck at the lower ranks and would have been killed by those people long ago!"

Evan vented everything in a single breath because he truly felt the need to tell this guy just how much trouble he had caused him.

God knew how depressed he had felt when he first learned that numerous rank-six existences were hunting him down.

At that time, he had merely been a small fry who had not even reached rank two.

Knowing that countless terrifying powerhouses wanted him dead, where exactly was he supposed to find the time to calmly study his powers?

Ever since arriving in Utopia, aside from the few peaceful days he spent inside Anastasia’s core world, he could not remember ever taking a proper break.

Most of the time, he had been desperately struggling to increase his strength just to survive.

The more Evan thought about it, the angrier he became.

For a brief moment, he genuinely wanted to beat Azroth up.

Even Azroth seemed to feel slightly awkward beneath Evan’s furious gaze because he himself knew just how many absurd things he had done over the years.

Not wanting to give Evan another opportunity to continue complaining, Azroth decisively chose to disappear immediately.

"The Origin Essence produced by the Heart of the World can be used to strengthen your core world. Remember to use it wisely."

Evan still wanted to curse Azroth a few more times, but before he could say anything else, Azroth disappeared.

Yes, he literally ran away.

Evan took a deep breath to calm himself before shaking his head helplessly.

’Let’s solve Elora’s problem first before worrying about anything else.’

As this thought crossed his mind, his consciousness sank, returning to his body once again.
