Well, there are several interesting things here. Besides the fact that the mc is Black, which is almost unheard of in a web/light novel at least, there’s also the fact that it’s about sports — and not combat sports, but football. The reviews on the main page kinda gave me the push to start reading this, and another reason is that lately, with the genres I consume the most like fights, action, litRPG, system stuff, etc., I’ve been jumping from story to story without really getting hooked on anything or feeling fully immersed in a story for the past few months.

But this is the first sports story in novel format that I’m reading. I’m going into it without expecting much, honestly.

Funny that I’m starting this read right in the middle of the World Cup while the Round of 32 is already underway lol. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Even more of a coincidence that tomorrow the Democratic Republic of the Congo is playing lmao.

Man, I am going to give this a chance, not caring about sports anymore. But if I read G.O.A.T every chapter I'll have to put it down.

For some reason I cannot stand the acronym. Maybe its too over used to describe everything.
