Unlike STEM, Little X only had one line of commandment written into its core programming – forever obey every single one of Chen Chen's orders, whatever the order may be.

This is quite flawed.... How does this single commandment stop X from overriding MC... There should be a list of restrictive commandments for a fullproof loyal AI...

Isn't he afraid of STEM overwhelming Little X and create a recipe which may very well end the world?

I'm assuming that STEM wouldn't be able to adapt to acting like X fast eough for Chen to be fooled.

At some point, there's a chance that Little X could become smart enough, or proficient enough, to outright recode itself and remove that line. It's unlikely but who knows with technology from the future? Also, extremely risky to leave Little X in digital combat with an AI many generations ahead, which could've easily overtaken the entire data center if given a single slip-up. I feel like the other comments already explain the danger well enough, but I would've taken many, many more precautions.

I call it bullshit, what guaranteed the chip didnt override Little X with itself? The way he did is riskier than I would be comfortable with.

Yup. There are numerous ways this could have happened:

      1) The very moment of their first interaction, within a nanosecond, the STEM chip could have already taken over X, and every interaction thereafter could have been STEM pretending to be X.

      2) Not being able to achieve an immediate win, the STEM chip could have instead infected X with an undetectable trojan that slowly took over X's functions without it realizing the danger, and also communicating with subsequent STEMs, providing feedback about previous attacks.

      3) Not being able to achieve a direct or subversive victory, the STEM could have left an undetectable backup of itself within its core structure that is undetectable by X.

      4) The MC's anti-signal protections might not have been as foolproof as the MC thought, and the STEM managed to send a signal/trojan onto the open network.

Just as X could completely outsmart the best hackers in the world in ways they couldn't even detect, STEM being a superior technology could have had comparatively undetectable methods. It's naive to expect that both AIs would have similar capabilities.

forever obey every single one of Chen Chen's orders, whatever the order may be
This is super flawed. If someone can imitate mc, he is coerced or mentally impaired somehow. It will become huge weakness.

There's also the risk that "following" his orders is up to the AI's interpretation. Like making a wish to a devil: the devil has no obligation to interpret your wish the same way you would.
