    So many comments talking about MC's alignment.... Well, in my opinion, MCs should do whatever benifits them the most, no? Good and Evil is just man-made creation to benifit the general population. So many pigs, chicken, cows are killed everyone for us to eat, do we even think for a moment?     I really dislike obnoxiously dark MC's who justify killing with bullshit reasons.

    "Ah, I'm a demon, I have to kill."

    No, you're a human in the body of a demon. You could only kill evil beings, animals or beasts. You don't have to be a mass murderer but yet you decide to become one which means you aren't a normal person, you're a genuine psychopath and if there's one thing I hate in my MC's, it's stupidly unneeded edgy psychopathic tendencies.

    To think, I was actually enjoying the novel up to this point.

      What he’s doing is embracing his new demonic nature. Do you think he will survive in the ruthless demonic world if he starts showing sympathy? Even if he wanted to do that will only be possible when he’s strong enough to change demon society. But alas everything a demon has to do in their day to day life is in essence ‘evil’. Go read Demon’s Virtue, that will suit your needs of an emotional demon (Spoiler: He wasn’t even a demon in the first place).

      Also do you really think this guy is gonna be in a good mood right now? He saved two people, sacrificing his life for them...in return he gets sent to be a demon. He’s probably done being Mr. Nice Guy...

        Yeah, I kind of realised this after reading further into the story. I was very hasty with my comment, having come off a lot of angsty MC's from a bunch of Chinese cultivation novels and korean manwha. Took me a while to get into it but rolled with the punches. Enjoying the story a fair bit now!

      You'll learn this later but knowing now isnt gonna hurt. Being a demon itself already desensitizes who ever it is, making killing easier and it slowly changes their personality towards cold blooded. Kinda like people that we consider to have psychological problems where they dont feel the same strength of emotions such as sympathy and empathy as normal people. Those same people become mass murderers and what they do doesn't seem bad to them. That's what happens to demons. He said earlier that human souls are more emotional then demon souls making them better. You think hes exempt
