    Shang clan arc was amazing better than the first arc IMO, it has much wider scope but still focusing on point and show much more diverse characters to interact with unlike the first arc, its just too small kinda dull tbh, i even want it to end quickly so FY can leave and explore the outside world which is more interesting than playing house inside the Gu Yue clan. Its like watching a guy doing some things on their house or watching a guy doing things while travelling the world. I will choose the latter.

          You do realize that it can’t always be action and threats of death. Book 2 develops the characters more clearly. How the author handled the bai ning bing situation is really streamlined and isn’t full of plot holes like other novels.
          The entirety of the shang clan arc has been used to foreshadow and build up future events.
          A book isnt like watching tetris where the interest is at its peak all the time.

              I meant tetris. There is always a curve that should be followed to make something interesting. Tetris is amazing to watch in small bursts, but if you just have top tier gameplay all the time there's no tension, and no stakes.
