        I mean, the novel is chinese, the author is chinese, so I think it's alright for there to be a BIT more favoritism towards China, so long as it doesn't become too much

      I feel you should be informed about something with Chinese novels....every single one I've ever read that includes China as a country has "the world against China" as one of their major plot points. And if it doesn't have China, then they use the MC's home country. Also, you'll notice a LOT of comments about how the government always knows best, and they tend to just blindly trust people from the government (even if it's out of character). It's....the culture, the tropes. Honestly, this novel is not nearly the worst I've read on that front.

        Somewhat similar to tournaments like LoL Worlds, people generally go for their own country. Unless your in NA, then you just want them to get out of the bottom half of the teams.
