    Just a theory.

    I think Adam/ASG isn't greeting the previous Lord of Mysteries, he is greeting Zhou, who already 'met' him the day he made a Divination about the Unshadowed Crucifix. So probably ASG already knows the future and that Zhou is going to become the Lord of Mysteries.

    May be wrong though. If he already knew the future, there is no reason to help Amon and Zaratul. But maybe he just took the oportunity to have a talk with Zhou?
