    I remember someone theorizing that adams plans are going to be brought forward due to underground ruins being discovered. Feels like the sudden (no so sudden?) war is a direct consequence of that discovery.

        I don't believe we know why the two countries decided to declare war against each other, or why Feysac did at least. But we do know that it's almost certainly related to Adam. We know that he's basically been controlling the entire world behind the scenes, killing ppl without anyone knowing about him, and having ppl make certain decisions over time. This is likely the fruit of all of that, now that he finally has 0-08, he's probably ready to advance, and this might be a condition for his ritual

        Though even if it isn't, we know that it's related to him because the Psychology Alchemists seem to want war, and they're a group made after discovering some of Hermes stuff, and Hermes is part of the Twilight Hermit Order. Linking all of that, we can infer that there's a good chance he was ordered to set this up by Adam for them to create the Psycho Alchemists, and now they're somehow being led by Adam to do certain things that he wants. e.g. starting a war
        That's all I know at least, there's probably more like with Admiral Amyrius and the Intis Ambassador, but I don't remember them well enough to be sure
