Why is Klein so obsessed with assassinating this ambassador? It can't just be because he sent his goon to get info out of him. They have no reason to harm Klein at this point. It just doesn't seem worth the trouble... If Klein is that worried he could of just moved to a different area in the city, and create a new identity.

Theres still a low chance of him being attacked by the ambassador as he did kill a beyonder under him, he also has a seer pathway subordinate thats a higher rank than him which makes him nervous since he cant deduce anything about them without using his grey fog.

Did you think a person of high standing like him wouldn't want to take revenge on an ant that foiled his plan? Exactly, maybe before this it is for his own protection and him being cautios, but after learning that his enemies is from the Seer pathway whose sequence is much higher than him, after he channel that guy's spirit, he will easily get the potion formula up to that guy's level.

It's quite easy. The ambassador tried to kill him and then let his goon intimidate him at best. We still can't be sure what he came for. MC is suspected to know at least a bit about Ian and ambassador can make dead people talk. There is an immense threat of him killing mc for possible 'inspiration' if he arrives at the dead end in his pursuit for Ian. Not even mentioning how vengeful and brutish he theoreticaly is.
On the other hand, MC can learn this sweet, sweet lore if he kills his subordinate, and ensure safety if he kills the ambassador. That also his ONLY lead on secret order right now.
If he doesn't, there is a constant risk of death, if the powerful intis guy ever wants to. As a seer, he also mentioned that reconciliation is extremely unlikely. Which is normal, as big bad boss doesn't make deals with villager A (in his opinion).

      So yeah, it's reasonable.

“Sigh, divorce really leads to poverty.” It was unknown if Talim was hinting at Mary Gale’s situation or if he was reminded of his grandfather who seemed to be more of Intis ancestry.

From what the Ambassador spoke about men of Intis, and the situation of divorce in the Loen kingdom, the primary reason was adultery. Instead of blaming marriage, lets put the accountability on infidels.
