      I don't know why you're getting so much hate. The only reason i started reading this novel is because of the hype this novel has. So far there's nothing special except that the author does have a knack for writing. I'll be reading ahead since I've read similar novels and come to like them. I mean I've read Reverend Insanity, then dropped it and then read it again till the latest chapters so there's a very good chance i might read this to completion too. But i do understand people not liking it and not finding it enjoyable. Plus you also explained it clearly without hating on the author so i don't understand how people can act like imbeciles just cuz they like this novel. It's hard to think of them as normal intelligent human beings when they act like someone with a mental disability.

        I had the same problem. Its not that I didn't like this novel. The story-telling, grammar, writing-style, world building, mystery and everything else felt top notch. But I couldn't really get into it. So, I read till chapter 14/15 and left it at that, while telling myself that I would be back. That was more than 7 months ago
        And now I've returned and I'm reading everything from the start. Feels a lot more interesting than the first time.
        Maybe, the Mtl type translations in every other novels made me have a reading burn-out.

        Caution (fellow daoists): You'll get dumber if you read garbage translations and/or garbage stories. And reading epic cultivation novels will desensitizes you towards the superpower and supernatural elements, making the other not so over-the-top novels seem a bit lacking, meaning getting dopamine becomes much harder

          I had the same problem, I only continued because I heard it was one of big three, and it had to have a reason to be, I'm the type not judge a novel too early, so I continued reading and I'm glad that I did, I fell completely in love with everything in this book, I've read the sequel too, and loved it.
