Extremely weird chapter. Not because world is unclear or confusing, but because interactions dont make much sense. Dude was trying to transmigrate back to Earth yet decided to cosplay an unknown Beyonder and started thinking about his future in this world without any prerequisite thoughts. Then there are 2 random guys who started sharing significant information in an unknown realm next a "great Beyonder" without a second thought plus nobody asked the guy to speak. Then even decided to trade next to him. I mean, why would mortals ignore the company of a supposedly powerful Beyonder and have almost casual talk with each othe? Not to mention that dude decided that the girl can obtain Ghost Sharks blood without having any introduction on who she is or what she can do.

Also having to be affiliated with some sects in order to obtain supernatural powers and losing freedom as result is a very annoying concept imo.

  transmigrating back randomly is near impossible. in every single fantasy, transmigrators usually have to learn the secrets of the world before they find a way back. klein isnt a beyonder either he’s not roleplaying one yet.
  
  if a god summons you and u have no idea what’s going on, but they aren’t radiating any aura ans aren’t doing anything significant, what would you do. be curious? audrey (the girl) is very innocent rn. she has a lot to learn.
  
  if the girl knows knowledge of machinery hivemind mandated punishers and the nighthawks, knows how you can become a beyonder by joining organizations, she is definitely in a position of some power. normal people do NOT know this. if she can negotiate for a potion without thinking then she can prob get the blood.
  
  and ofc there will be regulations with supernatural powers. you don’t want beyonders running amuck destroying the world do you?

This chapter is the "beginning" for a lot of you and supposedly the "best" chapter. However, to me, it's...not that great honestly. My critiques are in the spoiler below. If you have a reasonable way to refute me, please do so.

This chapter might seem "epic" to many diehard fans but it is so ridiculous I can't resist myself from criticizing it. The beginning still made sense because three people were dragged into the world of fog which includes Zhou Mingrui, Audrey, and Alger.

Audrey and Alger were also terrified as seen in this line:

What left the deepest impression on him were neither the sentences formed by words nor the meanings behind them, but the display of bewilderment, vigilance, panic, and reverence by the couple!

This made a lot of sense. If I was chilling and doing my own thing, I would be super shocked and terrified if I was KIDNAPPED into an unknown space

However, the next part stabbed a knife into my brain:

“Of course, if you make a formal request, you can return this very moment.”

When she did not identify any ill intention from his tone, Audrey heaved a sigh of relief. She believed that since a gentleman who was capable of such miraculous things had given his word, he would definitely abide by it stringently. With her mind somewhat mollified, she surprisingly was in no hurry to request her leave.

My reaction to this was WTF? You can't even see his face behind the veil of fog and he is suddenly a gentleman that would keep his word? What is wrong with her brain? If I was her I would tell Zhou Mingrui to IMMEDIATELY send me back. I wouldn't gamble on a stranger just because their voice sounds nice.

Some commenters might say that Audrey is interested in being a beyonder so she would love to learn from this beyonder. However, why wouldn't she think that this mysterious beyonder kidnapped her with ulterior motives? Is she that naive?

Okay, maybe Audrey is just so innocent because she is young. What about Alger? Why is he acting weird too?

Alger was acting normal in the beginning as seen here:

Alger Wilson also had the intentions to probe Zhou Mingrui in a similar fashion, but his rich experience made him statelier. He held back his impulse and only took on the role of a silent onlooker.

It made sense that he would stay silent and not panic. As expected of a veteran.

However, the next part really bothered me:

Are you a Loen?

“If you want to become a Beyonder, join the Churches of either the Evernight Goddess, the Lord of Storms, or the God of Steam and Machinery.

“The majority of us will not meet a Beyonder our entire lives. This has caused churches, and even some clergies within some of the biggest churches, to suspect the same. While this is the case, I am certain to tell you that Beyonders still exist in courts, tribunals, and execution agencies. They are still fighting against the dangers that grow in the dark, only that their numbers are much fewer as compared to before and during the early days of the Iron Age.”

Zhou Mingrui listened attentively, but he tried his best to present himself as paying little attention to Alger’s words, much like how young kids listened to stories.

I thought Alger wanted to stay silent? All of a sudden he does all this "world building" for the readers because he was teleported to a table? Let's not forget that he is a VETERAN and he is still in a "kidnapped status". Why isn't he requesting to leave?

The remains of the chapter are also ridiculous. For readers hungry for world building this chapter must be a freaking gold mine to you. However, the illogical behaviors are so glaring that I couldn't focus on any of the details regarding potions, ghost shark's blood or whatever.

Alger and Audrey pretty much started having a chat as if they are using WhatsApp while IGNORING Zhou Mingrui. Dude, both of you are still in kidnapped status. Shouldn't you wonder if your kidnapper will harm you with his super powers? What if he changes his mind and doesn't let you out? He can strong arm you into this space without any problems, and you can leisurely chat with each other like a couple on a date? They even asked Zhou Mingrui to be their witness as if asking a "higher power" to do your bidding is the most natural thing in the world.

  So, the main critique you have is distrust of the Fool. Tell me, if a being could drag you from across the world to a place where he has total control, to the point of making a structure appear. He seems to wish you no harm, and even says you are free to leave whenever. Why not believe him? Even if he's lying, they can't do anything about it. He seems friendly, he seems to be trying to do something. He clearly doesn't care to harm the two he brought here or they'd be dead. So, why wouldn't Audrey try to gain the information she seeks here? She has nothing to lose. As for Alger, him talking after wanting to stay silent can be explained by him also wanting to try and gain something from this if he could, especially after getting a read on Audrey.
  
  As for the deal thing, that is such a miniscule ordeal for the Fool in their eyes. And neither of them intend to break their deal clearly, so it doesn't really matter. If he says no, they can just request to leave and go on with their lives

  Audrey is seen as naive character and sees mostly good in other, and plus the excitement, she accidentally reveals a lot about her.
  
  Alger is an experienced one, so he's scared but controls himself. Note that he doesn't know the other party's strength. Besides just saying he wants to quit this quick could offend the 'Fool', so he's playing along to safely quit. If you read further on Klien's adventure, and other mighty powers experience Alger's choice seems sane actually. Also later on it's revealed he is not happy with his current circumstances, he a little daring too.
  
  And, yes about the world building , the author has a habit of doing this in his other works too.
  
  Being asked to be a witness is not a task, but acknowledging his authority especially when they are in his domain.
  
  Not saying this Novel is perfect, but your critique didn't seem logical either, thus this comment.
