The heavy weight is due to the fact that stones are 2-3 times heavier than any living organism (they all have a density of ±1000 kg/m^3, like water), and they also have a very low center of gravity, which adds to their stability.
    Well, if you're really rich, throw in some bronze, which is 2-3 times heavier than stones. The center of gravity can be lowered even lower.
