    Everyone is forgetting that from her perspective someone who is that strong but that ignorant definitely has a huge secret. For all she knew he could be the illegitimate child of someone powerful. Plus she was weakened and would’ve lost to him in a fight. And it’s even more hopeless from his perspective. The options were to kill her and have to flee into a dangerous place with zero knowledge or find a to keep her in check until he becomes stronger.

    Sigh, why would she sign an oath contract that endangers only herself, knowing full well that you will be required to go out as a guest student and can die in the process, seems like a forced plot, only way you can resolve this is if she can easily void the oath or she screwed the mc, Nobody will give reins of their life like that especially when they know the MC is ignorant.

    He had no way of knowing what she was actually doing with his blood. If the ritual worked the other way around he would be suddenly screwed, plus he made it clear he was completely ignorant of the profession. Pretty dumb but oh well.
