      You are probably right, while I am not sure if the current or the previous measurements are correct, it should be translated incorrectly.

      As this is a Chinese novel the "3000" number might be for a Chinese unit of measurement. "Meters" should be a result of shoddy translation.

      And there were previous chapters that had bad translation like Mc's fight with his father. So there is precedent for this conclusion.
