    This was a great chapter. I honestly never thought about Shi's past, but to see he actually has a moral compass, humanity, and humility? The author displays great character development. As well as astounding humor at well timed junctions.... escape

      The only problem is that this only happened in chapter 100, and even then only a little. We still understand almost nothing about the main character and do not know him as a person, but the plot of the idea moves forward. This is a big problem in this book.

        it's such a refreshing change where we can only see the "real" MC by scattered recollections and tidbits, it makes him more REAL and human-like compared to other static, 2-dimensional MCs. idk about other aspects, but the MC's character, that's the epitome of show-don't-tell
