    A... Unlikely theory of mine:
    Imagine there's a prophecy:
    Before the fated person, No one else can achive Immortal Ascension Realm!

    Now, That's absolutely true, because MC will regress time and time again and no one can continue progressing when the time itself is regressing! While quite obviously, no one before MC reached that realm.
    So because of the system, others can only follow MC.

    Now this prophecy was twisted in a way:
