Dropping at 106. It started off fairly interesting, MC wasn't dumb and didn't act badly at all. He ignored old class members who he happened to run into, including his old crush. He was being fairly cautious when exploring the Dream world etc.

But lately it's just been getting more boring, ever since MC gained the ability to supress his emotions at will. He has become a typical, boring tank type character. He just tanks enemies attacks head on, and then if he can beat them, constantly says they are all so weak and not a challenge etc. If he cant beat them he just silently runs away. No planning anything out, no tactics etc.

Early on he had a decent relationship with the people at his part time job at the supermarket. Then, because of course, after he quits and is saying goodbye to a mother and daughter pair working there, they get hit by a drunk young master driver and are in critical condition, with the MC then targeting that family who try and sweep things under the rug. Typical stuff. His sister was also being targeted by some other rich family, and so he did the same thing there. Went on a rampage and killed the main people, though both times (obviously) leaving someone stronger to come back and target him in the future because cliche.

Lately though, he doesn't seem to care about anything. He hasn't bothered contacting his sister at all after she moved to the Central City, asking about her journey or anything. He hasn't contacted anyone from the supermarket anymore, including the 2 hospitalised. He was given a deed to a house after becoming a direct disciple, yet 2/3 days pass and he still hasn't bothered to even read the deeds, let alone move into the new house he was given. It just feels like, ever since he gained the ability to supress his emotions at whim, he has been acting more and more like a boring, dumb robot. He talks about disdaining the other opponents in the competition to become a direct disciple because they want to gang up on the strongest ones and he refuses because he prefers to act all alone because he is strong and wants to act "honorably" [Chapter 93].

It seems, going forward, he is going even more into being tanky, as he is gaining characteristics which rebound damage after being hit, so seems like him just face-tanking everything and relying on pure strength is going to continue more in the future. If you like a cliche-filled novel with a guy who, as time goes on, just bulldozes everything via strength, give it a try. Otherwise probably don't bother.

This novel reminds me, holy fist, is 90 ℅ identical to the first one, like any Chinese you meet on the street) he didn't come terribly close to me, so I won't even try

it's always nice to see a neon metropolis based novel

It's not that bad, I thought it would be worse. But it's not that boring. It's worth checking out.
