    If he had told me to be careful about connecting to multiple worlds, then there was something he knew about what could happen that I didn't.


    Is it possible that the Sect Master knows of entities that want to take over/consume other worlds? Like, we know that there is an Entity behind the corruption in the Two Suns World, and that said Entity wants to invade it.

    And if there is one, there are more. And the Sect Master MIGHT know about the existence of entities like this because he was familiar with a previous World Tree Sutra Practitioner.
