        You're comparing Van Gogh paintings to a 4-year-old girl's stick figures. When you read such masterful writing, you set the bar very high, and then everything else seems like shit, even though you used to eat that shit, until you tasted the finest delicacies in the world.

        The point is that when you read new works, avoid making comparisons, turn that off. And at least the reading will seem... maybe not good, but good enough to pass the time.

    He needs therapy, but if people go to therapy, they don't become the heroes of such stories (Or the stories become a terribly boring retelling of the sessions) , so go ahead, overcome.
