    From the moment the MC discovered the cultivation of this snake, there's no reason for him to keep falling into its schemes. It almost feels like the author makes the MC fall into the trap on purpose.

    Another point is the lack of respect for the cultivation realms - it's basically impossible for someone so weak to resist someone at the Integration level.

    I just remembered that that one Grand Cultivator of the Alliance is a genius cuz he became an Integration stage cultivator in just 5000 years but MC is about 3000 years old and already at four axis. It might be possible for him to achieve integration in close to 5000 years too.
    He really closed that talent gap through random opportunities and advantages.
    I think some character once speculated about him closing the talent gap somehow too… not sure whether I mix novels here tho
