Chen Xu traveled to the parallel world, and was surprised to find that many classic and excellent games in the previous life did not appear in the parallel world.

I wanted to make a big picture, but why did I still have an ’emotion collection system’, and the emotions such as happiness, sadness, excitement, fear, anger and other emotions provided by players who have played games made by themselves can make them stronger?

But why is it so much easier to get resentment than happiness?

Looking at his points harvest, Chen Xu expressed puzzlement.

As a result, Chen Xu’s career as a game designer gradually turned crooked.

In “Under the Legend”, countless players beat the table and shout: I was played by this game!

In “Escape”, countless players shouted, my cabinet moved, and I stopped playing.

In “Dark Souls”, when countless players entered the game with a smile, “Go away, please go away, leave the fire girl behind and go out with your fire, we don’t want to spread this fire!”

Soap, Xiaoqiang, and Ghost sacrificed in “Call of Duty”; Zack was killed and Alice was killed in “Final Fantasy 7”; Arthur and John were betrayed in “Red Dead Redemption”;

Countless players went berserk: Nima Chen Xu old thief, can’t we be kinder to the protagonist?

Q: How do I feel about players’ anger towards themselves?

Facing the reporter’s question, Chen Xu smiled slightly: "What kind of verbal criticism is this, this is the encouragement of players around the world to me, this is love!Thank you all, I will keep up the good work!". Collapse

    American nationalism= patriotism
    Chinese nationalism= racism

in the American films that I watched as a child there was always disdain for Asians (in particular the Chinese), Russians, Arabs, etc. These nations have always been portrayed as enemies of Great America, but when the Americans and Japanese are the bad guys in a Chinese novel, people get angry. I think this is an example of double standards.

Not everyone commenting about the racism issue is american. Patriotism and nationalism is not the same as racism. Chinese authors tend to be racist.

So far i read this up to about chapter 200 (mtl). Pretty good, the author actually has great taste in games he releases throughout the novel (dark souls, minecraft, outlast, silent hill etc.). Also, author gets my respect for making the scenes of streamer reactions to the gameplay decently funny and not cringe, that kind of thing is not easy.

Overall, I recommend giving this novel a try if you have ever enjoyed seeing a youtuber or streamer play a game you like. The system and power up aspects of the novel are barely relevant.

Don't get scared by the nationalism tag I still haven't read anything that could be considered the usual nationalistic/racist deal.

What’s funny about this is that there seems to be nationalism (maybe even racism, I haven’t read this) but in the end this mc is copying games from other countries. I don’t know what gave the author the audacity to be this shameless

If he’s shitting on other countries in this novel I have to say there’s something wrong with the authors brain

The problem the author has, is that they're chinese

And to begin with, the Chinese don't have a word for copyright

Even the tech they're so proud of developing in country, to the point of advertising they've done so
Is stole from another - 5g chips

Worse I realized this a long time ago. For example, they hate the Japanese and Americans in particular, but they love Superman, Pokémon, etc. It's so strange how they manage to share their hatred.

Hate father but do not hate the child. Though, a fact must be noted: most novel characters who hate the father... usually love the mother.

Normally this would apply to dislike. For example, I don't like the chemistry teacher, but I like chemistry and his class. But if I hate the chemistry teacher, I will hate both him and his class, because the mere fact of being in contact with something related to him already causes disgust. An example of this is the Nazi swastika. The hatred is not for the swastika, the salute or even the moustache, but because they are related to Nazism, so they end up being the target of hatred too. That's why the division between product and creator doesn't make sense, because the Chinese show and are induced to have hatred for the Japanese, so they should also have hatred for anything related to them.

Though I do understand and agree with your point... to a certain extent. Reality is: if you calculate the number of those Chinese-writer-propagantists vs the number of Chineses itself. We ll see how ridiculously low the amount of those racist-and-haters are... Those extremists are just like the same amount than everywhere else. When I see people generalizing how 'those Chineses are brainwashed' and such, for me at the least, the main differences between those commentors and Chinese writers, is that one wrote a novel and the other did not yet. Fact is, there is rarely pure objective rationality behind our society, and no one, no families, no organizations and no countries can be immune from making a stance. I feel like to become a famous author, the importance is target and balance. And that explains why many of those trash novels are popular... While they will never make it 'internationally'. In any case, rooting for one's own family, for one' team or organization is very common. Didn't everyone rooted for Griffondor? Does that mean that everyone else deserves to be the loser? No right? But fact is, we didn't really question it throughout the reading, simply because the balance which makes us immersed into the novel was neatly done. I, personally speaking, wouldn't mind if the characters trash talk others, are racists, sexists or whatever... If it fits in its portrayal so much that I forget that he's just a character. The problem with most of those Chinese junk novel writer... Is that they suck at characterization and balance, and remind me more of themselves than their characters. They do not grasp the fact that lowering others to raise themselves... is childishly lower level than raising everyone else to raise himself even further. A shame, really. I really like many premises of those junk novels.

Your arguments actually make sense, but the biggest problem is that no matter the actual ratio of writers and the Chinese population with nationalism, racism, etc. The government can literally censor until the writer changes to something they like and think is right, I think that's why, besides culture, most CNs have this context of elevating China and demeaning others. I don't have a problem with it either, but it gets bad when it's done all the time and totally takes away from the logic of the novel. For example, there's a novel I read where a guy goes to a world where history and ancestors become a kind of power that allows you to build up your territory and then expand. The biggest problem is that literally every country apart from China is weak in terms of history. The novel literally says that 90% of the world's history and evolution happened or defended from China. The problem gets worse when they continually emphasize this with comparisons of territory, etc. This makes the Mc completely Op and have basically no decent enemies apart from other Chinese dynasties, who don't even fight properly because, they say, the Chinese are cultured and rational.

In short: When the government controls all physical and digital media. The people are generalized until they fit the molds they make and when this is seen from the outside, the entire population is seen as having a single personality, which is not true. I agree with your argument, it's okay to root for something or someone, the problem is exaggerating it and breaking the immersion, which happens a lot on CNs and KNs, but also happens in other countries, albeit more dispersed.

If you want to read something that deals with these issues of excessive nationalism, etc. I recommend "I Became the Academy’s Kibitz Villain ACTION DEMONS" the novel is very good and brings a good reflection on the society.

Easier: put it in the freezer for 10min, then remove it and cut it. Wetting it is alright, but it's a pain to peel because the skin sticks. Both work though.
