Are You Crazy? You’re Telling Me This Is a Fugitive TV Show?疯了吧！你告诉我这是逃亡节目？

The 300 chapters on the pursuit of the fugitive in the show was really good and fun, however, when I continued reading the rest of the chapters on another site, it began to derail because the novel was a basically like a soap opera with too much drama and romance, especially since the season of the show ended abruptly.

Personally, I dislike romance novels or novels with romantic subplots, so I got disappointed when it focused on romance, instead, I wished the novel would focus on why and how Wang Yun transmigrated and his past. But for those who wanted romance, then it's great for you, and I understand I should've never expected that deep or serious once Wang Yun started gaining op skills and face-slapped all his enemies.

On the other hand, there are some good aspects like loyal companions and the good translation.

To be honest, I feel like the novel should have ended when the show ended, but instead it got dragged out, and some ridiculous plots were thrown in. It takes 100 chapters just to get back into season 2 of the show.

However, I'm only halfway through, so my opinion might change further on. Yet again, I might drop it because the reason I read this was because of the fugitive part where he uses his wits and skills.

How is there 1400 chapters? Is the mc going to steal a wormhole at chapter 600? Is he going to become a nth level dimensional thief? Is he gonna steal my money through the narrative layer by chapter 1300?

Amazing premise but it ran out of steam fast.

The description sounds fun, but the reviews don’t speak very highly of this. I’m gonna go in and poison test this for myself, reading as long as I can until I can’t anymore, then coming back to tell you all how it went.

Update 1:

It was exciting when the main character won with his wits and cunning. But when he started to knock out his physical skills everything became so delirious and absurd that I stopped reading. I recommend it to those who want to kill time.

Fairly interesting story and quite funny…. but it feels like the lack of actual plot is starting to hurt it. At around 130~ chapters now and it’s getting a bit boring? It was the best when MC was playing the stealthy operative, but the more head on confrontations there are, the more cliche and cringe it gets. Maybe if there was an actual overarching plot and the MC’s powerup was much slower, the story could have been better. Now it's just MC getting more and more 'skills' every other chapter.

And the introduction of foreign teams is bringing out the expected racism. I mean it’s not over the top as seen in some other novels, buts it’s quite obvious and tiresome for anyone who is fed up of the cliches. MC is the usual urban Chinese MC with a system, I.e amazing at everything and will keep getting more amazing with no one questioning how ridiculous his skill levels are whilst face slapping foreigners at every chance. As is usual, more fun during the low power phase, and uniqueness + how interesting it is, is inversely proportional to how strong the MC is.

Translation is excellent though. Which is pretty rare these days.

TL:DR A good read for the first 100 chapters, then it’s starting to taper off.

i read till chapter 72, and i was losing brain cells exponentially, so i´m dropping, if you have nothing to read it´s ok, but it´s not worth the IQ that you will be losing.
those guys that gave the novel 5 stars have serious issues.
