A rotund, middle-aged cultivator stood up arrogantly and said, "I refuse to believe that there’s anything money can't buy! Ten million contribution points—does that work? If not, I’ll offer more!"

Actually, surprisingly few people have noticed a lock-on from Formless Killing Intent thus far. The only ones I can recall are:

      1. Zhang Haobo, who was a "Son of Heaven" backed by the entire Congyun Sea at the time.

      2. The Foundation Establishment Grandmaster, exceptionally sensitive to law fluctuations from witnessing countless breakthroughs—yet even he only vaguely sensed something.

      3. Tian Jue (the old fisherman), an extraordinary figure whose strength surpasses the Dao Integration Realm.

      4. And then there’s Sun Qi—who, as we now know, is also extraordinary—though even he only sensed something the instant Formless Killing Intent targeted him, and that was it.

I honestly can’t recall anyone else, despite binge-reading from chapter one. I’ve simply accepted that Formless Killing Intent is exceptionally hard to detect. Consider this: the technique was derived from the killing intent of Heaven and Earth itself—directed at all cultivators. At its peak, that intent permeated the entire Congyun Sea, growing stronger until it visibly affected the region. Yet even the two Soul Transformation True Monarchs never noticed a thing.

And remember Shuo Feng’s explanation of Dao Integration stages? The first stage revolves entirely around perceiving laws, with an insurmountable gap between levels—requiring years of effort for an average Immortal Sage.

So in my view, only truly exceptional individuals can sense Formless Killing Intent—unless they’re upper-stage Immortal Sages who’ve already deeply interfaced with laws. Then again, those few who’ve reached such stages are exceptional to begin with.
